Absolutely delicious love the vegetarian plate! Highly recommend. The short rib over spaghetti very tender and lean! June 2016 and another great stop at Tropicalia for dinner. Put this on your MUSTDINEAT list!!! Love!

Staff is super nice! Made good suggestions on a takeout order and even made my portion a little larger– don’t know why but it was really sweet. I’ll be back!!!

Do not go here unless you want to risk food poisoning and have a creepy waiter caress your shoulder when he comes to your table. It took me about a day to get over whatever bug was in their food that caused me to get sick. And the waiter, the one with tattoos on his forearms, caressed my shoulder twice when he came to our table. Totally inappropriate.

This is not the typical Brazilian restaurant I’m used to. What a pleasant and delicious surprise! I had the pão de queijo(cheese bread), side of plantain, side of yuca and 3 empanadas(palmito and cheese, chicken and the spinach empanadas). All outstanding!!! The yuca was super hot and crunchy(who doesn’t like a freshly fried yuca?) The plantains were sweet and crunchy — cooked to perfection! The empanadas had the best crust I ever tasted(thin and crunchy). Mostly importantly: nothing was salty — just perfect! The staff is also friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I will definitely come back on my next trip to LA!

Food was AMAZING and I would give the food 5 stars but in efforts to have you read my review and adjust/change their what seems to be «shady» business practices. I walked in with a group of 5 people(including myself) everything was fine and the service was great, but when we received our check they automatically add 18% gratuity but when I was doing the math while splitting the bill it turns out that it’s actually 20% and the sales tax turned out to be 10.77% when the tax in LA ranges from 9−10% I want to give this business the benefit of the doubt and say that they may have miscalculated so until they can change it but for now please do the math folks.

My sister Saturday was great with this place. It’s small stylist place and great food selections. First, we were greeted by the Wife of the owner. Offered us the sangria, sure I love wine so we got the pitcher. They loved it. Bottle it. The wines were great. Then the owner came and took our order. We had two appetizers Yumm. And we ordered our dinner overall it was the best.

Never tried Brazilian food before. It came up on my gps while seaching for restaurants in the area. We said what the heck lets give it s try. The staff is very friendly, prompt and very attentive. We shared the Braziribs that were so tender and delicious. We also had seafood special which was delicious as well. This my first time trying ceviche, which was tasty as well. If you’re ever in this part of town stop in and give them a try. It a cozy little place and it’s pretty clean.

Friendly and fun staff along with tasty food!!! The meat is seasoned so deliciously that it’s almost impossible to share! The ceviche is a must try and their sangrias are the best in town!

I found this place on Unilocal I was really hungry and And we went to tried this places but I tried better Brazilian food, food was good but the service is really really bad. The waiter took 10 mins to take our order and then he took 5 more mins to bring the drinks and he was mad dogging. Really bad service

I found this place on Unilocal because the Wood Spoon was closed(Sunday) and I regret it so bad. The worst Brazilian food restaurant that I’ve ever been too. The food had no flavor. I made the mistake to order my food and a to go order as well. I tried to cancel it after my first bite but that was not possible. The food didn’t even had salt on it. No seasoning, A lot of oil on the vegetables. Horrível. Não comam aqui. A comida não tem sabor nenhum. Nem sal tem. Arroz velho, feijão sem sal e sem tempero. Carne péssima. São mexicanos tentando cozinhar comida brasileira eu acho porque tudo foi ruim. Stay away and go to Wood Spoon!

My wife and love this place. The bife tropicalia is a great plate of food. I’m addicted to the cilantro sauce– I wish I could figure out how to make it!

This is my second time at Tropicalia Brazilian Grill and I absolutely love this place. It is a small, casual, never crowded restaurant located in Los Feliz. The first time I ordered the salad with chicken(DELICIOUS). This time I order the Bife Tropicalia with black beans and rice. Definitely didn’t go wrong here. I will say any of their grilled chicken dishes are amazing so if you are unsure what to order you can’t go wrong here. This is a place you are going to want to try, and then try again and again. PRO: They have their own parking for brunch. They have valet at some point in the afternoon however I am not sure what time the parking is no longer free.

The online menu here on Unilocal is wrong! All the prices are completely off. The Moqueca De Peixe is $ 6 more expensive than what the menu on here says it is. I tried explaining that to the restaurant and the person at the cashier said«it’s not our fault. we don’t have any relationship with Unilocal» Put quite simply, the restaurant DOESNOTCARE. The cashier gave me attitude. The food was OK and definitely not worth the price. Too expensive!

Great food. Falling in love with the brazilian cuisine ! The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. Very reasonable prices. the only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because of the parking.

Chill mellow atmosphere, dim lighting on a Tuesday late dinner night, pretty empty and intimate with connecting wine bar almost packed. Small amount of outdoor seating. Service is great. Their fries are good(like bigger version of red curly fries). Friends expected cheese bread which doesn’t exist here. A bit steep for the meat quality but they make it up with two side dishes like fries, salad or rice depending on your entrée $ 15 – 20. Ribs sandwich(ribs on the side with 2 flatten plantain), and speciality entrees were decent. Bottle of wine for $ 19.95. Handicap accessible. They’ll help open the doors for customers. Men and women restrooms are single and big, just the door is a bit heavy. There are a couple booth seating.

I’ve probably been to every Brazilian spot in the city, but this place gets a thumbs up for its uniqueness. My family and I come here often when we are craving some serious tang(not the orange, powdered kind but the tart, vinegary kind). Other Brazilian joints serve the typical meat fare, farofa, rice, and plantains, but Tropicalia’s food is a bit different in that it is super zesty. All the sauces and salads have just the right amount of piquant acid that can be addicting. The service can be a bit off at times, especially during peak weekend hours, but it’s not horrible. The crowd can also be a bit irksome, because sometimes there is a surfeit of children that is running amuck or you are seated next to a horribly loud couple that decides to force you into conversation…

Tropicalia Brazilian Grill has a great happy hour menu from 4 – 7PM that includes their ceviche for $ 10. Despite it being too pungent, the ceviche tasted amazing with the right amount of meat(including shrimp). I first thought that there wasn’t any meat in the ceviche, but I had to go deeper to get to the core and find where the meat lies. I was able to finish my food and was satisfied after the appetizer meal. Service was spot on especially when I asked for water to be refilled. Everyone was friendly overall. I shall try the other Brazilian food and drinks next time!
