St. Robert’s Auditorium was sad and outdated when I was at LMU. I can imagine that now most students have never been here, as St. Robert’s Hall isn’t the main building in which College of Liberal Arts classes are held anymore. This space has the strange distinction of being so useless that it’s used for an awful lot of events. I’ve given blood here, have attended awards ceremonies here, have been in an orientation group here. The only thing I wish I had done here that I never have is see a children’s play. Now, I don’t know which children would put on a play here, but it’s just that kind of auditorium. See, there’s no sloped seating and no permanent seats. It’s basically a horrible place for a play, which means a children’s play would be perfect here.
