I absolutely LOVE Spice Salon! I had my hair done by by Kenny and she did a fantastic job as usual. Kenny is extremely talented, experienced and a perfectionist! Every time she does my hair, I walk out with a sleek, shiny and perfectly polished hairstyle. She makes sure you look great and feel great when you leave her salon!
I love my new straight style and ombré color! I’ll be back!

Horrible experience with a call that I made regarding their hairfinity. Very rude service. The lady that answered the phone, I asked her if they had any hairfinity today. The Jamaican lady the day before had proceeded to tell me that Hairfinity would be there on Friday. Today is Saturday. The lady on the phone had told me that the shipment hadn’t came in. But the other lady had said it did. She proceeded to get very rude with me when I questioned her regarding them getting a shipment on Friday. Then when I asked to speak to someone else, she said that she wasn’t available and that I could hold, when I asked to hold, she said that she couldn’t have the line tied up and told me in her rude tone that I need to call back.
Take your business elsewhere.

I’ve called back. Kenny (The Shop owner) fixed the issue and was VERY nice and helpful. With that, I would definitely recommend this business. If you have a problem, make sure to ask for Kenny.

They sell HAIRFINITY VITAMINS & Essentious hair products. Long as they sell this & I don’t have to purchase them online paying for shipping/​handling fees, then they have a new customer for LIFE! The drive from Long Beach to this part of LA don’t take that long anyway, hell I’m there in 30 minutes off the 405, 105, or 10W freeway

I live in the neighborhood recieved a flyer. I showed a pix of the style I wanted to Kennie, her work was on point! I have been going back ever since and that was in 1998! I get compliments on my hair all the time. It’s nice when people love and take pride in their work, even if Kennie is running late you get the same treatment never have my hair been half done alwys on point.

My 5 year old Ethiopian daughter HATES to get her hair done and really puts up a fuss all throughout the appointment. Althea at Spice Salon
has tons of patience with my daughter, takes time to do her hair right and give her a beautiful style and is as gentle as a butterfly. Her prices are less than other places for comparable work.

I had a set appt to have individual braids done by Bisi and she told me she wouldn’t take any other customers in between me so that I could get in and out. Then of course she took a walk-​in customer while working on my hair and I ended up leaving so late that I couldn’t even pick up my child at daycare. If you enjoy being disrespected and having walk-​ins taken over your set appt then this is the place for you. Absolutely rude customer service here.
