Stppped by here in LA while we were shopping at Sante Alley. I ordered the Family combo that came with 4 pieces of filet mignon(shish), 4 pieces of chicken, and 2 skewers of beef kabob. Every piece of meat was marinated to perfection. I was tearing pieces with a plastic spoon! The taste was incredible as well. Very flavorful and well prepared. The best part was the prices are very fair compared to other places. The man who took our order seemed like the owner, and his customer service was incredible. Not sure how some say their customer service was questionable. The man’s hospitality was beyond expectations. Will be back here for sure when visiting LA.

Total hole in the wall, we only ended up here because this was one of the closest halal options around. And the food was just okay. I tried the chicken kabob platter and the others had the grilled chicken wrap and sandwich and everyone found the food just about okay. Seems like others have had a better experience!

We traveled up to LA to visit the fashion district and worked up quite the appetite. We passed by Shayan Express and all I saw were halal burgers and I was sold. My mom is a food critique so I was nervous to bring her in but she was hungry and willing to eat anything. She asked the incredibly friendly owner how their koobideh(beef) kabob was and with the utmost confidence he said the best that it can be. My mom was not disappointed. The first bite she took she said«write them a Unilocal review, NOW!» And here I am! My burger was amazing and the fries were some of the best I have ever had. He has a menu full of amazing options. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was fantastic. Thank you Shayan Express!

Decided to stop here to grab a bite to eat with the family. It was so good! The food was delicious I had the number 9 the chicken was juicy not dry at all and the rice was also tasty it is served with butter on the side if you want a little more flavor. The customer service was awesome. For customers the restroom was free you. They give you napkins for you to get into the restroom for free. I saw someone complain about flies but we sat out on the patio and had no issues with bugs.

I don’t recommend this place. It’s not clean. You should pay 75 cent to go to the dirty nasty bathroom and there isn’t any TP. They will hand you 2 pieces of TP. The taste of food It’s okay but you pay much more than what you get. The flys are all over your food on the table.

After walking all over Santee Alley Fashion District, I didn’t feel like have having bacon dogs, elotes, tacos, burritos or flautas. This place is located at the corner of Wall & Olympic inside the«new alley.» Large Seating Area. Filet Kebab Plate — Tender, but a little overcooked and chewy, but flavoring wasn’t bad. Also came with a basic salad with a vinarette dressing, pilaf rice, grilled tomato and jalapeño. Overall, would probably come back if I am walking around the surrounding area, but not a place I would venture out to go eat. Also, it looks like they deliver via Bicycle. Pretty cool.

Excellent food in the heart of LA’s Fashion District. The definition of a hole in the wall. Excellently prepared chicken that comes with rice, salad, and pita bread. A great value and very pleasant place to sit amidst the hustle and bustle of LA. Definitely will come again.

Halal with a certificate. Tried the Qeema and it was good. I didn’t like the Shirazi Salad at all though, was so bad. The location is great if you plan to do shopping there.

Great food for a very good price. For sure try the lamb chops and the chicken, also they’ve added a new item(ground chicken) which is also great. Always a pleasure eating here!

They have bottled Mexican coca-cola here, yum! We also got their beef and chicken combo plate and it was very delicious! The meats were very flavorful and tender, and it came with fresh salad and rice.

Fantastic food and endearing customer service! The chicken salad is melt in your mouth deliciousness! Super tender! The burger was phenomenal as well as the lentil soup! The manager/owner is incredibly kind! Definitely one of my favorite middle eastern restaurants in California! Can’t wait to come back when I’m in the area!

My friends and I were shopping in downtown and decided to have lunch here. The owner of the restaurant was super nice. Since it was our first time he kind of gave us an idea what are some things that we would like. We all ordered different things from the menu. The food was to die for. Everything was great. I will go back and definitely order from there again since they deliver. In my opinion, customer service is very important plus the product that deliver and from my point of view everything was excellent. See you soon :)

I really wanted this place to be good since it’s so close to where I work. The food is OK at best but the service is truly horrible. They are usually short whenever I go in and I deal with it but today they raised the bar on their level of unprofessionalism. I usually have the burrito but was told today that they couldn’t make it because they were too busy. I tried to order a platter then a guy came out of the back and said that I take too long to eat and they are too busy to serve me so I should come back later. Well, since I only get 30 minutes for lunch I have no idea how he figures I take too long to eat. Besides, I’ve never seen more than 2 people eating onsite at any one time and there are always plenty of tables. From reading the other reviews, I guess if you get the food delivered you have a better experience. Another reviewer mentioned that the restaurant is right next to the restrooms, truth. Also, beware of the condiments. All in all, there are many better options in the area. Don’t put yourself through the trouble of dealing with this surly crowd!

Pretty good reasonable eats. I got the chicken kabob which comes with rice, a cooked tomato, a grilled jalapeño and some lettuce with a touch too much dressing for my liking. Also comes with a bunch of warm pitas and a pat of butter. The chicken was pretty good, moist. The flavors were relatively unmemorable. I wouldn’t’ve minded some hummus or sauce, next time I’ll order some. Trying to compare it to all of those places on St Vincent and I think it comes pretty close, slightly more reasonably priced. They’ve tried to create a nice ambience with outdoor(ish) seating, some running water on the outside glass and a small cage with 2 budgies. Actually, a pretty pleasant spot to sit. I say outdoor(ish) kind of in a Pirates of the Caribbean seating type way. There is seating outside in the market area which happens to be covered.
