Everything tastes wonderful here! I never have left overs because it’s all gone in a few minutes, lol. Great prices, too.

Ah, Sepan, what can I say about this delicious place. This place has amazingly mouth watering kabobs. I’ve been coming here for many years. Anytime I’m near the Atwater Village area, I make sure stopping at Sepan for lunch or Dinner is on the agenda. This place makes Zankou chicken look like the McDonald’s of kabobs. There’s no comparison. I usually get the chicken Kabob. The chicken kabob is chicken breast, which other places make you pay extra for. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Each bite is full of juicy seasoning. The chicken is served over a bed of rice, and served with a small salad, hummus, roasted jalapeño, and tomato. If you’re ever in the area, give this place a shot. They have other great things on the menu; too many to mention on this review

Superb customer service. I placed an order online not knowing that they weren’t open. I got a phone call almost immediately after with an apology and an assurance that they would refund me the next day. First thing in the morning my phone rang and sure enough it was someone from Sepan Chicken telling me that my refund was complete. They care about their customers and it’s apparent every time you go in. It’s hard to pick a favorite dish. What I do love is that everything is made to order, so my food is always fresh, warm and perfectly moist and delicious. It’s hard to claim a favorite, so I’d recommend everything.

This is for my visit today… 8:00pm. The business is called SEPANCHICKEN. They close at 10:00pm. They are out of roasted chicken. I guess I have to go elsewhere.

Awesome food, awesome people. Food is always consistently good. I come here twice a weekend because you just can’t beat the half chicken plate. As a bodybuilder it’s rare to find that kind of value at any quick restaurant.

Solid food and fairly priced. Great for the neighborhood. I’m a big fan of affordable and quick Mediterranean food. This is a good option for the immediate vicinity. I most recently had the beef shawerma bowl. Tasty and easy. I also have good associations with other shawerma wraps.

Delicious! I couldn’t wait to come back to this place after having tasted it a couple years ago. Still tasted the same. The humus is exquisite. Growing up in the area, we didn’t have this place. It opened about 6 years ago. The neighborhood has changed but I’m glad this place remains. Huge plate of beef and chicken kabob for $ 8.00. Super friendly staff. Checked-in with Unilocal and received a free drink. You can call in your order and pick up or it can be delivered. The food is delicious!

Wow, the food here is so good for the price! You definitely get the best bang for your buck for delicious Mediterranean food. MUST-GETS: — Chicken kabob plate(5⁄5 stars): Huge chunks of deliciously flavored chicken kabobs. Comes with a very spicy green pepper, small side of salad, hummus and pita bread, and rice. — Half chicken plate(5⁄5 stars): SOJUICY! They have one of the best rotisserie chicken — much, much better than Costco’s and the half chicken plate is only about $ 9. What a steal :) — Pork chops plate(4⁄5 stars): Just a tad fatty, but ooooo so juicy and flavorful. No weird smell either. I’ve also tried their shwarma beef, which is kind of tough to chew. Their lamb kabob plates are OK, a little bit on the dry side. Basically, get either chicken dishes or pork and you can’t go wrong. Be sure to ask for their amazing GARLIC spread sauce, it’s SOOO perfect to slather on EVERYTHING! Oh and I must mention the service. Absolutely some of the best service I’ve had experienced — there was one time when I got the half chicken plate and the taste of the chicken seemed off and had a slightly strange smell. I called to inquire, and they gave me a fresh plate(since I only live 2 blocks away, this was an easy fix for me to drive back). They really care about their customers’ satisfaction. Owner is also super friendly — as I’m a local and come here quite often, he has already remembered my face/name. Come here for some delicious, hefty portions of Mediterranean food! Highly recommended. Free parking lot shared with Coin Laundry place. Check in on Unilocal for free medium sized soft drink of your choice(they honor it!)

The Chicken Kebab plate at Sepan Chicken is great value in terms of flavor, portion, and price! I really enjoyed the meal while I was in Glendale for work. The meal leaves you feeling full and gives you clean energy to go and tackle your day. Good enough for me to put in another order of 6 for my co-workers. The owner tendering the food/transaction was nice and prompt. He was on top of making sure each customer got what they ordered to the letter. Great place for a meal for dine-in or take out. Would drop by again if in the area.

I don’t know what happened but they’re not the Sepan I used to know. New chef? New owner? What gives? The wait has always been a problem here so I started to call in the order and that seemed to take care of some of the problems but after tonight I’m not sure I’m coming back. My veggie kebab plate literally had 1 mushroom and 2 medium slices of zucchini. That’s it! 3 pieces of veg. No bell peppers, no onions, no tomatoes. 3 pieces of veg. 15 – 20 minutes for that? The hummus has changed too. It’s lost it’s flavor and is more viscous than in the past. Almost like a sauce more than a dip. I don’t know what happened but it makes me sad that one of my go-to veggie plate spot has changed so dramatically.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time. We absolutely love coming here. Our favorite item to order is the Chicken Kabob Plate. It’s amazing and a must-have. Their portions and prices are perfect. The service is really great too which is also why we keep coming back for their delicious food. Eric is really awesome and friendly! Thank you! :)

All the lamb variations are great — esp. their chops. Beef(shwarma, luleh, kebab) tends to be a little on the well-done side, so your mileage may vary on that. Chicken is best(and best value) when purchased whole, which pretty much guarantees the freshest and juiciest pieces are yours(along with an exceptionally good skordalia-type garlic sauce that for my tastes ranks above the big Z chain — and Sepan uses much less salt in everything) The one odd thing is that if you are vegetarian, please note that a Veggie Bowl isn’t just vegetables, unless you actually ask for it that way — otherwise it does come with proteins on top.(no tofu, tempeh or seitan here.) Been visiting here for 5 years now, and learning the ups and downs of the menu make it very satisfying on the whole. Servings are quite large on bowls, wraps and plates, so many times for a light dinner we just split a combo. We keep extra sumac at home just for the take-out, but that’s more because I tend to like a persian-style version of things(like rice with barberries…), and their tahini is sharper tasting than some of the bland ones around town(but you can also substitute goma dare from the Asian markets, too.) Every time I’ve been there, things have been made to-order, so it usually takes 15 – 20 minutes to finish and deliver(and you can always call ahead.) For us, a little more convenient than getting to Kebab Way, or Mini Kebab and quite satisfying all around for the basics. There are other places in Glendale that have the grilled seafoods and such, but this one little place has gotten things right all the time to keep it on the list of go-to local places.

***EDIT*** Just received the below note from the owner(told you he was cool). Thanks for the imply response and clarification. Changing the star rating to 5. «This is Eric from Sepan Chicken, I apologize for the false information that you get, but even though i don’t know who answered your question but i think he might have thought that if he say we use butter it will look fancier i think. But just for your info we have never used butter in our rice. The only ingredients that we add to the rice is veggie oil and a little salt. I give u a 100% guarantee that you haven’t consumed butter. Again I’m really sorry for the confusion that the answer made, and I make sure I follow up with the staff for future so that they always be true in telling the ingredient no matter if they feel its fancy or not.» **BEWAREIFVEGAN** My wife and I go here often, the food is delicious and it’s in the neighborhood. When we became vegan, this was perfect because of their«vegan» options. Last night we ordered the Falafel Plate and a side of basmati rice. The rice was so good and seemed very shiny and extra greasy so I called to ask if it was cooked in butter. They replied«yes, little bit of butter». I said«ok, your menu says it’s vegan» and he quickly changed his story to «oh, we cook it in oil.» I replied«so, no butter?» and he said«no, vegetable oil.» So I am not sure which is correct but I am hoping that our rice was not cooked in butter. Either butter or oil, it was quite a lot on the rice. If we go back, I will definitely clarify when ordering«very light oil, if any at all.» That being said, besides this experience, we generally like this place. Owner is super cool and nice, but they need to make sure they are cooking as they are advertising on the menu.

My God how do you mess up chicken? This was the most horrible chicken or small dog(I couldn’t tell what the hell it was) I have ever had. The chicken was a sadly burnt lump of a mess that was over cooked. The poor delivery guy took more than an hour to get to me and was using a paper map to find my address … wth Never again will I order from here

Last month we received a flyer for this restaurant that came with coupons. Not many places deliver to our street so my fiancé and I were excited to try it out. I ordered the chicken shawerma wrap & basmati rice. He had the lamb plate. Delivery does take some time(and when it’s too busy they won’t deliver) but it’s totally worth the wait or having to go get it. Fresh food packed with flavor! You don’t feel like you’re having takeout when u eat here. My wrap was juicy and they give u so much rice when u order a small. My fiancé loved his lamb dish too and ordered the chicken plate the last time we ordered(bomb). They also offer dessert, I tried the strawberry cheesecake and it was yummy! Friendly service. Great food. So happy to have heard about this spot.

Tasty! Been coming here for a few years. I think the current guy running it, took over for his uncle, looks less stressed now. When he first started, he kept on running out of food, so I had to order pork chops because it was one of the things that was left. It turned out to be a great discovery because the way the roast the pork chops, it was really good. Now, it’s one of my usual orders. Parking: Own shared parking Payment: Cash or Card Delivery: When I lived near there, I tried delivery, and it took over an hour. So I wouldn’t recommend that. Tip: Call ahead if you want to save time. Summary: It’s really good food. I usually get one of the following: Shawarma, Kebab, and pork chops.

If you want something healthy and Mediterranean, this is a great place for lunch! I’ve been told to try the Chicken Kebab and it was delicious! The chicken was so moist and nicely marinated. I loved the grilled tomatoes, hummus, and pita bread. It takes a while for the food to come out but it’s totally worth the wait because each order is made to order! So it’s hot and really fresh! There’s plenty of parking in the plaza.

This place is not what you’d expect. More tasty Mediterranean food that you’d think. Been to this place a few times on my way to other places and it’s always been a great stop. The food here is very well made and the portions are definitely very nice. The location is also great and they do have parking for customers which makes it much easier to decide to stop by this place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t let the outside look fool you. Seems like a fast food type place but they take time in preparing food.

There are some items that are really good and some that you should skip. The chicken kabobs are tender and juicy. The shwarma beef is meh. Kind of chewy and not juicy — more dry. The prices are very reasonable and can be a good value if you order the chicken items. Beef is hit or miss in my experience.
