Ordered 6 Pupusas to go with a side of frijoles con crema(beans/cream) and fried plantains… The«Revueltas» are OFFTHECHAINGOODNESS!!! Oh my word!!! Only three made it back home to my kiddos(sorry about that boys)… I will definitely be back. The only negative would have to be the limited street parking and sketchy neighborhood… Oh and the«Cortido» was tasteless so skip it… I guess that actually makes three negatives. However, remember that the REVUELTASAREWORTHTHETRIP! YUMMERS!

I love Salvadorian food… maybe because I’m half… nonetheless, this is what I would order in this place: The Pupusas(pronounced poo-poo-sahs, I know a little weird but freekin great!). If you don’t know what one is, they can be described like a handmade flat donut made of corn that is filled with either cheese, shredded pork, refried beans, shredded chicken, etc… and are fried on a griddle. They are especially good when they’re hot and fresh! They cost about $ 1.25 each and are sized 5 – 6 inches in diameter. I like ordering the cheese only since it has a mixture of my favorite cheeses(mozzarella, havarti, provolone, and jack cheese) or the relluetas(pronounced reh-well-tahs. Filled with shredded pork, the cheese mixture above, and refried beans). It is also served with a «salsa» type of dressing and cortido(shredded lettuce, shredded carrots, jalapenos marinated in vinegar like juice) that makes it taste even better… They come separate so you don’t have to put it on, it taste good either way. The corn tamales are tender and savory as well. You can’t go wrong with the any of the foods here and the place is priced cheap. Come check it out… you won’t be disappointed.
