First hit this place after my cousin treated me out to eat and boy was this place a good and amazing spot. I got their vegetarian summer rolls and tofu fried rice. Both left me with a delightful food coma.

This is right next to my cousins place and this place is his go to spot, the guy who runs it knows him and were seated right away. I’d have to thank my cousin for introducing me to so many different viet places and this is another gem I can put in my pocket. Great food and amazing prices. I had my first avocado shake here and I can tell you it was pretty damn good, that’s if you like pistachio bc it tastes exactly like it.

3.5. this place is now called«LEGENDNOODLE& grill». i saw this place on the way to my usual sunday routine to Big Wang’s. how can i resist a place that is called LEGENDNOODLE?! and vietnamese food in ktown? cool! i debated over whether i should get phở or the vermicelli or the rice. it was cold so i got the #1 and a soda/condensedmilk/rawyolk drink. our orders were taken pretty quick and the food arrived a few minutes later. we waited when we first got our food, because a pivotal part of the phở experience was missing, the PLATEOFSPROUTSANDLEAVES! all the other tables had them, and we’re so used to them bringing that first before the food. we had to flag them down to get that plate of veggies. we dug in. this time, i took the effort to try the broth before putting hoisin and sriracha in. and honestly, it was one of the more flavorful broths i’ve ever had in phở. usually it’s a lot blander. maybe it’s just more salt? but i liked it enough to not smother my soup with hoisin and sriracha this time, just a little squirt or two. my drink still hasn’t come out. so we flagged down one of the waiter guys. and we asked where my drink was cuz i ordered the B-10. and he was like«you waaan too add drink?» and i said«no, i ordered this soda, milk and egg drink, and i was wondering where it is» then he asked«you waan too ohdah soda?» and chris said«no, we ordered it already, we just want to know when it is coming out» then he said«yoo waan change ohdah too milk sodah?» and so on and so on. we finally got it, but we got a good laugh out of it. as good as the broth was, the noodles were more stuck together than i’m used to. i understand that it’s all premade, but usually when i stick my chopsticks in there and swoosh it around, it separates into a nice looking, chewy bowl of phở. i’ll probably come here again cuz i love vietnamese food and it’s close to where chris lives. if i try the rice/vermicelli stuff and its good, and they don’t totally misunderstand my drink orders, then i’ll totally bump the star back up!

If you want to know what Phở is suppose to taste like, you’ll bypass Phở café and come here. This place is great, best broth in town. Tried the shrimp paste… i know it sounds weird, but if you like tofu and you like shrimp… you will love it! Try it as a vermicelli dish… mmm!

most decent of the phở places in the k-town area. broth is well spiced and very flavorful. reasonably priced, and right next to a goldilock for cheese puffs afterwards.

This Phở reminded me of Phở Vie in Westminster. The Phở is not exactly the same as Phở Vie’s but the experience and sensation was(Same kind of buzzy numb sensation ran through my head unfortunately. Too much of some kind of artificial flavoring? Bad batch of ingredients?). But the soup was flavorful, the noodles very decent and the beef was ok with plenty of slices inside the bowl. I observed them bringing in fresh noodles(vs. dried noodles) and it had a nice strong chewy texture unlike dried ones that can crumble easily. It was ok but there was no Phở satisfaction, just decent Phở.

Pretty good as far as Vietnamese restaurants in Koreatown go — you might mess up and end up in one of those Korean-run phở places… which might look the same, but is SONOT the same. Definitely a great stop for some Vietnamese coffee and a bowl of Phở — a little lacking in quantity, but other than that, pretty good for the area.

$ 3.99 small bowl of phở so good. they give you a lot of noodles, but just be sure to spoon off all the oil on top first.

If you’re allergic to crustacean, don’t come here. I was craving some Goi Cuon, and was excited that Phở Viet was walking distance, but to my bad luck, they only offer it with shrimp. One would think that they can make it with beef since it is a restaurant… and then I asked if I can have the vermicelli with beef instead of shrimp and pork and guess what the answer was? NO! Maybe they only have a microwave in the back? They suck. Thank goodness I can trust Phở Café; I just need to drive…

I went here after doing a quick scan for nearby phở places, and I must say I was quite happy with it. The broth was tasty and the vegetables fresh, though I will admit being slightly disappointed with the amount of meat that was included. Still, service was fast and friendly and the price was great. Will definitely being coming back here again.

I signed up for Unilocal just to write about this place. Taking over the old dining room space of Goldilock’s(which is now reduced to a bakery next door), Phở Viet is my new favorite place for phở in the city. Pros: They take credit card. They deliver. And yes, they even have grilled pork and shrimp over rice vermicelli noodles(#41, Dave – and it comes with a spring roll. Woohoo!). Tasty, flavorful broth that kicks the ass of every Korean-style phở place over on Western. Young coconut juice in the young coconut from whence it came, which means dessert after sipping if you scrape out the coconut meat with a spoon :) Cons: They took over Goldilock’s, which means I’m missing out on(non-greasy) pancit canton and pork adobo within a five mile radius of my apartment. And parking in that tiny-ass lot sucks when the valet guy wants to charge you $ 2 for the 10 minutes it takes to pick up phở to go on a Saturday night. The pros far outweigh the cons! But I’ll still be ordering delivery just to avoid the lame-o valet dude.

I went here after researching a Vietnamese place that would have the most extensive menu, and this seemed to be the most likely. It was larger than I have found here in L.A., but didn’t have these beef-wrapped jumbo shrimp that I can’t find anywhere! Otherwise, this place is fan-fuckin-tastic. Very authentic. Great, great vermicelli noodles. Spring rolls. Phở. All soooooo good. And lots of fun Vietnamese fruit drinks. Decent parking. No booze. All and all: hells yes.

And with a blink of an eye the food came! It was hot and well prepared! Couldn’t ask for anything better! I LOVETHECRISPYNOODLEANDSLICEDBEEF! Thai ice tea is wonderful! ITWON’T LEAVE U HUNGRY !!

Located near Shatto 39 bowling lanes, this place is great for some Phở before hitting the lanes and making a complete fool of yourself bowling. At least that’s what I would do on the lanes. Not Obama bad, but still pretty bad. Back to the Phở though. Located right in the heart of K-town, this Phở is not one to brush off lightly. Sure you may be tempted for some Korean BBQ, but it’s worth it to bypass those tasty places for Phở Viet. The place is pretty decent looking, you usually expect a phở place to have a specific grimy look. Then service is great and very attentive to your needs. I got refills easily, ordered more items and had them brought out quickly and went with a large phở bowl. The amount of meat in there was great for the low cost. I got the combination rolls because I felt the need to start my dinner with massive amounts of deliciousness. The spring shrimp rolls were great and the egg rolls were perfect. The flavor was grand and delicious. The drinks are served in large glasses and they have a good variety of drinks to fit anyones health and drink concerns. I usually have a big stomach when it comes to Phở, but I couldn’t finish it all. Next time I’m there I’ll go with a regular. So the advice I give, go large if you are sharing a bowl or just really really hungry. Otherwise regular will be fine. Get yourself one of the many drinks. You will walk away filled. Cheaply priced good phở, how could you go wrong?

First two times I went here the Phở was incredible lots of meat & veggies and the soup was rich and oh so good! the 3rd time they skimped on the ingredients, 4rth time back to being great, the 5th time they skimped again. I love the salted shrimp you eat then whole, BUT the first time i ordered it awesome! Big succulant yummy, the second time less than awesome not as fresh a batch of shrimp 3rd time awesome again. when they are good its great! wish they were more consistant other wise id give them 5 stars.

I like a phở place that takes credit card. Neon lights but clean and roomy atmosphere, which is rare for mostly cafeteria style seating. Wide selection of food and drink with a bakery display by the cashier, alright service, preseparated wood chopsticks. Parking can get a little crowded since it shares the lot with quite a few other businesses. Phở was fine although the rice noodles tasted a bit strange and clumped at first, but the broth came out super hot so it separated after some fiddling. I think they left out the tripe in my #12. A regular size was good for my appetite as of late.

No MSG please. I was pretty excited to find a Vietnamese restaurant in this area, because I love me some grilled pork over rice vermicelli. But when I asked if they had the stuff, the guy looked at me as if that’s not even Vietnamese. Um, ok? I guess their specialty is phở, but it was too hot for phở. So I reluctantly went with the Vietnamese fried rice, without MSG please. Now the guy looks at me like I’m crazy and asks, «Are you sure? It’s not so good without MSG.» …I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s a bad sign. Tips: Say no to MSG.

Right down the street from my house, the location is truly convenient. I can walk here anytime I want. Too bad it doesn’t open at 7am in the morning like it used to. I totally crave phở in the mornings with a nice cup of iced coffee. No matter. The food is still pretty good and the service is nice. I’m all in favor of supporting the mom and pop shop and this place is definitely that. They also have really good sandwiches, though not your traditional Vietnamese style. But pretty decent and cheap and fast. The rice dishes are pretty good.

Okay, the only phở places I know of are either that trendy spot on Sunset where there’s a minimum of a 15 minute wait, or some place my friend took me in West LA. In other words, phở doesn’t come into my life very often. But I kinda like Phở Viet: it’s not trendy but it’s clean, big and their iced coffee comes in this HUGE milkshake glass. Their menu is pretty extensive, from phở to rice dishes to sandwiches to weird Boba drinks and(unlike the trendy Sunset blvd place), there’s actually parking! And it’s ALLLLLMINNNEEEEEEEEEE. Unless you actually take my review seriously and start going here, too.
