When you click 5 stars on Unilocal, the line is «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» My sentiments exactly when I think of Ococoa. This is what chocolate is meant to taste like. You can literally taste the quality and sense the care that goes into the creation, from the inspiration to the recipe to the execution. Do yourself a favor and get some of this chocolate immediately!!!

Ococoa has worked with me on special events and special needs(vegan!) holiday treats! They truly make well crafted unique chocolates, beautifully packaged, ship without incident, and are often experimenting with new exotic flavors for when you feel adventurous.

It’s rare I’m inspired enough to write a review, but these chocolates are so utterly delicious I had to do it. Last night someone brought some to my bookclub for a special treat. The buttercups are so pretty and delicate I almost didn’t want to eat them, but not after my first bite. The caramel bars are outstanding too. I was laying in bed this morning thinking who I’d like to send boxes of these chocolates to as a gift.

The orange peel chocolate is so good and creamy. Can’t wait to try the rest of them!

These chocolates are fantastic – I have eaten plenty myself, and given them countless times to friends and co-workers as gifts. Go ahead and get some – you won’t be disappointed!

No surprise: Bön Appetit magazine rated Ococoa one of the top chocolatiers in America in their March 2012 issue. That’s probably worth 1,0005-star Unilocal reviews right there.

Sent the classic Butter Cup collection to my sisters and they cant stop talking about them! Beautiful and delicious. Diana was super accommodating to ensure the chocolates reached them in time. Would definitely gift these again!

Besides the fact that owner Diana Malouf has probably one of the cutest and most unique hairstyles you’ll find anywhere in LA, she also had some of the best chocolates I sampled at Indulge Los Angeles. Peanut Butter fan I am, I was totally into her rendition of the classic peanut butter cup. Really dense peanut butter, along with a little salt on top. This definitely was a bit of a more adult and upscale version of the classic Reese’s. In this case, the PB is clearly the star and the chocolate takes more of a supporting role. All fine with me. I’ve seen enough peanut butter cups fail because the PB was not up to par. Turns out Diana offers a wide variety of ‘Butter Cops’ so I only wonder what the other varieties taste like.
