This is only for the watermelon slush, not the food. I was hoping to have actual watermelon in my slush, but what I got was a very sweet drink with no taste of real watermelon. Very disappointing since other boba tea places use fresh watermelon. The boba didn’t have much flavor either. The service was friendly and fast, but with other options for boba tea, I will not be back here again.

I came across this place and I saw that the prices are very affordable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The House Special Fried Rice is very delicious and they have a wide assortment of beverages to choose from. The various green tea flavors are amazing and authentic in taste as well. I will definitely be visiting this place again. If you ever get any of the flavored teas make sure you get the bona with it. You will not be disappointed.

Food is great, and the prices***** best in town. Right next to HopWoo. prices are under $ 10.00 with Goose quantity.

Unless you can’t bare walking further than where this store is located, I would not suggest this place while visiting Chinatown. The drinks and food itself are nothing terrible but nothing special, but considering the options in Chinatown I would simply take my money elsewhere. The drinks are serviceable but once again if you are in the area you might as well make the effort to try something a bit better in terms of flavor. There’s Lolicup, Wonder Bakery, and Quickly China Town, all within relative proximity offering the same but better options. Food wise, we only ordered the cajun fries which unfortunately looked nothing like the picture and tasted just as misleading. Again other than the fried potato bait and switch, this place did not do anything blatantly wrong, but just not worth spending your money given your options in the area.

Really loved it. The cook is nice. The food was good. I loved my orange slush. The shrimp fried rice was good. My family loved it

Had the almond milk tea with boba 25% sugar. I found the drink to be refreshing. The boba is smushy but still is chewy. So it is acquired taste I can see why some people who enjoy the al dente boba would be grossed out by it. I believe they make the boba fresh though! Would come here again if the mood is right.

Random find while exploring China town. Love the atmosphere, the cashier, and owner. Tried the rose milk green tea which was recommended, didn’t like it… but I still drank it cause the workers were so friendly and the flavor was amazing(I usually drink it black tea). I love the owner’s lucky cat display. Definitely worth a try.

The interior design of the place is really nice, the cashier or owner I’m assuming is a douche, tried the milk tea here you’re better off going to Coco for cheaper and even better boba.

They are ok. Best bet is boba only don’t really order food. If you want what’s in food picture ask for it to look like that because they do it how they want. No bathroom because they’re considered fast food, actually only one public restroom there in China town but costs a quarter lol

Not really a cheap cost, but really cheap taste & there is no flavors on any of the drinks… Rather go two shops next to it to get a drink & a phở!

I was on my way to another boba place when I stumbled upon Mochi Cat. I was really hot and the humidity was absolutely killing me so I settled for this place instead, even though the other place was only like a block and a half away. Big mistake. The AC was either broken or they don’t have it but it was like an oven in there, more so than the already sticky and thick air outside. There were two fans in there which helped a bit. I tried their milk tea boba. The tea tasted okay but the boba itself was really soft and had a mushy-like quality to it. I’ve never had boba like that before and I definitely prefer it to be chewier and more solid. I just drank it without eating the boba, which kind of misses the point of having a boba drink in the first place but I really couldn’t stand the taste and texture of it. Other than that, the service was good and like I said– the tea tasted fine, it’s just the boba itself that needs work.

I was dying. We walked into this place looking for nourishment and rest from the heat. I was literally about to pass out so I sat in the comfy bar stool and put my head down on the table, waiting to pass out. The worker was really concerned and made me a giant boba right away, then quickly whipped up his house special fried rice along with the crab Rangoon. He asked me if I was ok then turned on some awesome 80’s tunes. This owner was super nice and the atmosphere was fun! Food was good and revived me back to good health! Thanks Mochi Cat!

I got the Milk Tea. bad decision. Thought I was sticking with a simple classic but couldn’t have been more wrong. I can’t speak for the other teas and slushes, but the milk tea with boba was absolutely horrendous. Sorry mochi cat, maybe next time

Cashier sucked! Food took took forever and was not worth the price! &3.50 for honey milk tea(TOOsweeeeet) $ 7 for seafood w/1 skimpy piece of shrimp &1 small ice of fish w/a BUNCHA veggies! And $ 5 for snack popcorn chicken. Not really worth it tbh

Was in Chinatown shopping for last-minute Christmas gifts. Was parched and walked by this place and decided to give it a try. There were tons of other Bubba/slushy drink places but I just decided to walk into this place. I got the small pineapple shake, it was very refreshing. It was also really sweet so I am sure there was more sweetener than pineapple juice. I don’t know if this will be a place that I go again considering it was expensive($ 4) and there was more sugar than the actual fruit juice.

So I found this place while walking the streets of Chinatown last weekend during a very warm afternoon. After being pitched a(probably fake or stolen) Rolex watch by an unsavory looking character about a block away, I grew tired of walking around and waiving off other vendors and hawkers and decided to go into the nearest place that serves coffee and recharge. That’s where I found Mochi Cat. I honestly didn’t know the name off-hand, but saw that it was a place that served tea and coffee, and frankly, that was all it took to draw me in. Besides a small group of high school kids in the corner, the place was pretty quiet. The server was in the back preparing something. I walked up to the counter and did not ring the bell immediately, as I wasn’t in a hurry to get the server’s attention and order and needed time to think about what to order. I then figured, «screw it, boba places like this all should have a standard milk tea.» So when the server came back to the counter to take my order, that’s exactly what I ordered. «Yes, with boba.» As she rung me up($ 2.50), I thought about paying with a credit card. But, upon seeing the $ 0.25 surcharge for using a credit card for anything below $ 5.00, I went ahead and pulled out a $ 5 dollar bill. It was one of those really rare occasions whereby I had some cash money on my person. As I waited for my drink to be prepared, I thought that this place would have fit in more in a SGV(San Gabriel Valley) or a SELACO(Southeast Los Angeles County) city more than DTLA(Downtown Los Angeles). Since there was also no music being played, I was subjected to listening to the inane banter going on with that one group of high school kids in the corner. Once the drink came up, I picked it up and sat on the counter for a second as I pulled out my smart phone and started doing some tasks. I took a sip of the drink and realized it came out exactly like how I would expect a milk tea boba would taste. It wasn’t particularly stellar(the drink was not too sweet and the boba was prepared well though), but there is a certain comfort in knowing that you can get exactly what you want and have it come out exactly the way that you expect at a place that looks exactly like a place that you can visit when you’re normally back home in the suburbs of Los Angeles(sans the poppy bubblegum music).

Shout out your order, they can’t hear because the music is too loud! They got my order wrong twice. Cute décor, comfy seats, but it’s just not a soothing place to relax or get work done. Their honey green tea was plain bad. how do you go wrong with honey green tea? Fried tofu was average. Their only bright side is their chicken nuggets. Wouldn’t come back though…

This is an awesome little spot to spend your lunchtime, either with friends or alone. The food menu isn’t very expansive, but what they do have, they do right. I especially like the popcorn chicken and teriyaki bowls. But what’s really bomb here is the infinite menu of customizable drinks. Boba aficionados would love it here. They even have a step-by-step menu as to how you can make the ultimate boba concoction, with all sorts of interesting add-ons such as avocado, brown sugar, rose, longam fruit, & even coffee jelly. Not all together, of course. That would be disgusting. My favorite: The iced cappuccino with a hint of caramel. It’s the best I’ve had anywhere.
