Delicious food truck next to the car wash on 5th and Vermont. The carne Asada tacos were really good and their ceviche tostadas were fresh and tasty as well as the shrimp cocktail. Lots of drink varieties and a small spot to eat or get it to go. Fast and courteous service a hidden gem now that’s a food truck not like all these expensive fusion and other trucks.

Good place to get your own seafood cravings out of the way. It’s also nice to know that you are able to get even the hard to find the black oyster cocktail or known as the concha negra. Great prices and good portions. Parking is a bit hard to find.

The food is so delicious and portions are huge. 3 tacos can fill you up well pretty good. The shrimp cocktail was awesome too. This truck is the best out of all the trucks in K-town and I tried a few.

Not surprising this truck has zero reviews. It’s not the typical trendy, flashy truck with curious fusion items that you would see at your run of the mill art or music festival. Mariscos Muchoacon is a total stripped down version of a classic taco truck that so many years ago evolved into the Food Truck sensation that has now seen just about every edible item available via rolling kitchen. And I do love all these interesting, creative trucks that seem to be popping up daily. But sometimes you just want to keep it simple. And that is where Mariscos Muchoacon shines above perhaps any other taco truck I’ve experienced in Los Angeles. No joke. I moved to Koreatown a year ago and right down the block sat the most generic, white food truck on the planet. Being a huge fan of Mexican Food it was a no-brainer for me. I hopped on over and ordered four beef tacos. Didn’t really care what was on the menu, I just wanted something simple. Too my surprise the total was just $ 5. Good start. Then I got the tacos. Completely filling up a plate, these tacos looked insanely good. To the naked eye you could spot the meat, onions, a slice of avocado and hot sauce but to really experience how great these tacos are you have to try for yourself. The flavor is potent, down to the well-seasoned beef all the way to the secret hot sauce which is out of control spicy, but still worth putting your mouth through it’s paces for. I really couldn’t have been more satisfied with these these tacos. What more could you ask for, especially at $ 1.25 a pop. I’ve enjoyed taco plates from Mariscos Muchoacon at least 25 times so I’m not just leaving some random Unilocal!review on a whim. This place is a fine establishment. The couple who runs it are very pleasant and with the exception of a few occasions when the meat was a tad dry, they’ve produced nothing less then incredible, and yes I’ll say it again, «Simple» tacos. Highly recommend! *****
