The juice tasted good but she was touching her cellphone and scratching her head and touched the fruits she was cutting after without washing her hands :/I can believed I drank it after that but I spent $ 17 for one juice and and this thing called memela? Not worth it… I could’ve order something better from another place if I knew… I hope I don’t get sick.

Great spot, service is tops, I had the grillos because my friend just HAD to order them and they were good. Only able to have one taco because, I think no explanation needed. My entrée was the empanada de huitlacoche and it was what I had been dreaming of. Would definitely go back.

THISIS A OAXACANPLACE. that means no tacos, etc. the service is great and the food is a good size. on a friday they might have an awesome band playing. skip the margaritas, they are sugary iced concoctions.

Best Oaxacan food! Have got to try the enmoladas! They are so delicious. The food is good, great service and they are usually never full which means you can get your food faster.

Authentic and delicious, this place makes incredible Oaxacan food. Ordered delivery and it was delivered within 45 minutes, at the perfect temperature. Can’t speak highly enough about the flavors of their food. Delicious!

One of the most authentic Mexican food restaurants in LA, at the heart of Koreatown. Generous portions, flavory seasoning and great variety in their menu. Take note that the service can be somewhat slow on the weekends, when there’s more customers and take out orders.

I just don’t like that they don’t shred their meat. They just slap a chicken breast/beef onto your enchiladas and enmoladas. Their caldo de res was good. Chilaquiles — not so much(Too soggy and was not combined with any sides). Taquitos are good, so are their aguas. Service is great! They always add a soup to your order!

Boyfriend and I ordered food here on a whim. He ordered tilapia, and I ordered a fish filet. Before we got our food the restaurant gave us a mini soup to start our meal with chips and Salsa. They gave us two salsas. One spicy one for me and a low spicy for my very white boyfriend. They were packed when we got here so we waited about 10 minutes to get seated. Not bad. They had live music and it was wonderful. I wanted to have my boyfriend try the chapulines and he loved them. They gave us tortillas which are home made. Service was wonderful and the waitstaff was very attentive. Love this place and will come back again!

I’ve been a regular here ever since they used to be La Guelagetza. We both know the twin owners and honestly I’m very glad this place is now Sabores Oaxacenos. The food is great and very homemade. The food quality and the service is amazing. They also sell Mexican sweet bread and desserts. If you want authentic Southern Mexican food and not the generic bean and cheese burrito then this is the place. Parking can be very tricky which is why there’s valet parking(which isn’t expensive). Try this place out and try the horchata! Very refreshing!

I tried the mole negro chicken and it eats like home cooked food. more simple than fancy. mom and pop shop. I wouldn’t know anything about Mexican authenticity but it definitely has a feel of specialized regional cuisine. to be honest I thought the dish was a bit low brow but upon reflection I think its low brow in the right kind of way. matthew kang speaks of the soul of LA being in places like this, in his review foiling the bourgeois decadence more typically glamorized in this city. it was a little unnerving to be the only Asian in there and eating by myself. next time I go i’ll bring a Mexican homie so they know whats up. service was really friendly, its just like all the families there were staring at me like I was some exotic animal they never seen before. like. they weren’t sure if I belonged there but were bemused by the prospect of it all. unsmiling curiosity is the worst kind. felt like free willy.

I’ve been to this place a few times, on Sundays, but I can definitely see myself coming back more often. The menu is rich, colorful, and authentic; the way a oaxaca cuisine should be. The décor is something to look at, all sorts of traditional arts and crafts, the culture comes alive in the walls and every dish. The flavors are amazing, I had not eaten so well, the taste and seasoning is just right, a great flavor in every dish, from the complementary chips and salsa down to the dessert. The service is, however, one of my favorite parts of this place. Everyone is super kind, paying attention to you; your plates, and requests. I really can’t praise the service enough, great job there guys, I really appreciate good service and they have taken great credit of me when I’ve gone, and I see the same to everyone else. Better service than a cheesecake factory I was in. All in all, this is a great spot for authentic oaxaca food, great, kind service and a place to appreciate Oaxaca.

Got food poisoning! Not good. The Coloradito tasted chocolaty, not like I’m used to eating in the Sierra of Oaxaca.

So it makes me kind of sad to write this bad review, but I’m going to… and I was looking so forward to this place too… –1 star for HORRIBLE parking. Valet is $ 2.50, if there’s anyone to actually valet. Being in the middle of the street, your only option is to find street parking(good luck) or park across the street at Jons… if you want to risk getting towed. — 1 star, no air conditioning. So hot and kind if smelly of bleach. –1 star charging me 18% for ordering to-go, by myself. And not even giving me chips and salsa or even water while I wait for my food. I was going to top them for their help, until my server graciously decided to charge me without even telling me about it. I used my voucher, so that saved me a few bucks, but the tipping thing is a real buzz kill for me. –1 star for not telling me you’re going to charge me 18%!!! Other than those few complaints, the food was mediocre, but their red molé is really good. I ordered their fajitas(you can’t mess it up), their chicken, and fruit tamales, their handmade tortilla with stuffing(forgot what it’s called), and their horchata(not too sweet, so good). Because of all this, I’m NEVER going back.

Where do I begin in reviewing this wonderful restaurant. The food is authentically delicious. The servers are courteous and friendly. I can name a ton of restaurants that should learn from this place. If you like good food and being surrounded by good humble people. This is the place to be. Not to mention the prices! All around 5 stars.

I love coming to this place because I like mexican food, unfortunately I have to write this review due to the HORRIBLESERVICE that I have had experience for the second time with the same waiter, comes in offer drinks and we tell him we’re ready to place our order he looks like he’s in a hurry but the place is not busy. Looks like he’s writing what we’re telling him, but when the order arrive… COMPLETELYWRONG!!! Is not what we have just ordered. We see him welcoming a group of people that apparently know each other, he takes them to a table and guess what… He stays there with them at that particular table for the longest time and keep smiling at them. What a surprise!!! He had only spent 3 minutes with us and got everything wrong and never came back not even to apologized!!! Then to make things worst! Some lady comes in, looks like is the wife of some one that works there she gets in and set her own table right by our side. She bring two little girls both with a cell phone playing some cartoon and have the volume so fucking loud that I cannot eat in peace!!! Not only that but they start crying all loud!!!
