This location has moved to La Cienega and Rodeo. Inside the strip mall next to Chinese Deli, Carl’s Jr, and a nail salon.

The one at Jefferson/La Cienega is the closest place to eat near my office, other than Carl’s or Target. Food is good and cheap. The Gumbo is amazing for $ 5.89 for a cup; it comes with a side of dirty rice and is a full meal. It tastes homemade and comes with large chunks of chicken and a variety of vegetables as well as several shrimp The fried chicken is really good too, and not greasy. I don’t much care for the rolls, fries or cole slaw, but I don’t care that’s not why I go there. It’s for the gumbo. There is a Ragin Cajun truck that stops at my office from time to time. The gumbo from Louisiana Fried Chicken is considerably better. The wings are good, especially the regular fried chicken wings. The dipping wings are also good, but I don’t care for the dipping sauces — I wish they had a real buffalo sauce. I give this place five stars for the gumbo.

I went to the one on LaCienega & Jefferson and it was pretty good! The chicken is juicy comparable to Popeye’s without the price difference. It’s pretty cheap, about $ 3.50 for a two piece, your choice of leg, thigh or wing. The 10 pc lemon pepper wings were only $ 4.99. What a bargain compared to other places. I took a star away because the sides were just crap. Don’t bother, just get more chicken! Although next time I might try the spicy or dirty(veggie) rice. Thumbs up on the Thai iced tea though! PS. This is a cash only spot!

I eat at the Louisiana Fried Chicken on the corner of Jefferson/Rodeo and La Cienega. I love their chicken! Their fried fish was really good as well. Not only do they serve chicken and fish, they also have some homemade red velvet cake and lemon cake. It’s all good with the exception of the wings. I was a bit disappointed. Hot wings should be hot not vinegary. But I will definitely go back for the chicken and fish. Mmmmm good! This is a CASHONLY place.

This is one of my favorite fast food soul food places, and the thing about it that makes it different is, its all owned by chinese people and has a full chinese Panda Express like menu, but you can also get gravy and biscuits, greens, and fried chicken with everything. Each place is different, some places are just Louisiana Fried Chicken, other places are Louisiana Fried Chicken and Chinese Food, the best is Louisiana Fried Chicken and Chinese Food and Fish, cuz then you can get fried fish like catfish ala carte too. I first discovered it when I worked in Inglewood(I am Asian but worked at Wells Fargo there) and continued to frequent it when I got transferred to South Central(Still with Fargo). Lately now I got to search it out cuz I don’t work in the area no more. The drawbacks are, these places are usually located in the more dangerous parts of town. The one near me for instance, and its not always clean. But its cheap and good and greasy. It’s a chain so I recommend going to the ones in the malls or in trendy areas for first timers, unless you aren’t afraid to get shot like I am.
