We used to like to come here because of the food but, we finally gave up. The food is OK but the service is horrendous. Obviously they have no clue about customer service. To bad… they lost a good customer.

The pupusas are delicious! Plus it has an A health inspection rating and the servers are nice. Not a fancy place, but very yummy food.

By far the BEST Salvadorean food in Cali! I drive over 1 hour to come eat here. Great service and great food! The Platanos are never dry and the pupusas are out of this world! We always take an extra order to go. I recommend Con Sabor to everyone, you will thank me for it!

I love me some Con Sabor but I probably won’t be coming back here(even tho this is literally minutes from me) The girl at the register is hella rude speaks slim to no English and then is mad because I have no clue what’s she’s says(mind you she’s Rollin her eyes and low key shouting at me lol) I ordered 3 Pupusas she’s tell me it’s gonna take 25 mins WTF(playing me like a bad record. Lol) so anyways I’m waiting and waiting!!! And now it’s been 28 mins and my 3 Pupusas aren’t ready Smfh… Next time I’ll just got to the real Con Sabor on Venice and redondo…

Normally this place is awesome, but since they’ve done changes like new staff, the service is not as friendly. The pupusas here are the best in town, not greasy and quite a variety. Negative– the cheese isn’t high quality. Positive: good value for your money. The salsa is good too. It’s preferred you speak Spanish since the newer staff(based on last experience) can provide better service with better communication. That doesn’t mean you’ll get poor service if you dont speak Spanish– it’s just easier to communicate. The pupusas are made fresh by hand when ordered. The use jack cheese. Good place for vegetarians. I suggest pupusas de zucchini & cheese, spinach & cheese, and beans & cheese.

Best pupusas in the area hands down – maybe even LA. And a good selection with ones like carrots and shrimp not usually found at other pupuserias. And the food was hot and fresh off the griddle. The other food coming from the kitchen looked tasty as well. And judging by the fact that all the tables were full when we got there, it seems to be a popular place. I would have given all 5 stars, but the service sucked. Chips and salsa came immediately and the waitress took our order at the same time. But it took almost 30 minutes for the pupusas to arrive. In the meantime other customers who were seated after us were served before us. Will definitely make this a regular stop but will plan in advance knowing how long it may take for the food to come.

The pupusas are so good. Other places give me chorro haha I dislike the fact that it takes some time to get your food even if you have it to go.

Love this place! I ordered the pan de pollo y pupusas(revuelta con todo), it was so delicious and it definitely fulfilled my Salvadorian food craving. The tamarindo juice was not too sweet which is unusual but that’s how I like it.

I’m not from El Salvador but if I was I’m sure my mommas cooking would taste just like this! Food takes a while because obviously they’re making it for you. Pupusas are bomb! And their black beans and crema are to die for! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. Highly recommend trying this place, I live in El Monte and drive all the way to mid-city LA. Definitely worth it, you won’t regret coming here.

My ol’ man lives off La Brea and Adams. I came here on a whim. I was coming in West from Culver city on skateboard when I smelled and passed J n’ J.(great spot, will review in future). J n’ J sparked my hunger. I then arrived on Adams and Redondo when. My stomach sighed. I asked, «What is it boy? What’s the matter?» My stomach responded with a border line violent growl. I’m officially too hungry. Es Con Sabor(Pupuseria) was across the street, and I suddenly was in the mood for a pupusa. As I entered, I was approached with a smile and a menu. I planned on getting my items to go. I ordered a pupusa revueltas(cheese + pork) and suddenly noticed they had tamales. These weren’t ordinary tamales though. These babies(as an option) were DEEPFRIED. That’s right ya’ll, DEEPFRIED. I grabbed a cheese and jalapeño. I decided to eat there cause it was something I needed to try immediately. I inhaled the generously jam packed pupusa. Juicy, cheesy and a light ‘bacon reminiscent’ taste make these things a win. They’re made on the spot, so they’ll take a second. Growing up in LA the pupusas here have to be some of the best I’ve encountered. And as an added bonus, they’re around $ 2 a pop! The fried tamale though. Crunchy, warm and dashed with some spice. A little bit of love, beans and some rice. Superb! This place is a hidden gem worth scoping out.

So glad my friend knew to come here: great El Salvadorean pupusas in a clean, friendly place. It’s not a fancy joint, but great for a casual outing with a group of friends. PARKING ======== Easy street parking — we ended up right in front! It didn’t seem like a sketchy place, so we were OK leaving our car there. FOOD — 4 stars ===== Super cheap pupusas that nonetheless fill you up. Horchata and aguas frescas are a must order. SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE — 4 stars =================== The restaurant interior is a series of booths like a McDonald’s. You can either pay at the counter or ask the waiter to bring you your check. The waitstaff were really friendly in helping explain what the different types of pupusas were and weren’t offended when I tried to practice my lame Spanish with them.

Yes, I give five stars. Yes, they are in the hood and yes they serve really GREAT food. The papusas are inexpensive and full of flavor and I’m hooked. Everything I’ve tried has a homemade flavor to it. The place is defiantly worth trying. My thoughts about what I’ve tried thus far. Papusas — OMG — Very Good — You may order them and immediately think someone is be giving you a round of applause but no that’s the lady in the kitchen slapping massa between her hands. Anyway, after trying them I felt like giving her a round of applause for the deliciousness that came out of her kitchen. Huevos Rancheros — El Salvadorian Style — The chopped stewed tomatoes they top it with added a bright and slight tangy flavor to the eggs which were cooked to perfection. With all of their meals they also serve a dish called casamiento which basically is mashed black beans and rice mixed up together. It doesn’t look very appetizing but after you taste it you will love it. When I first got it on my plate I was like ummm, NO! But, hey you cant be a foodie such as myself and not taste it. I’m so glad I did. Pollo Encebollado — Chicken smothered with onions. This dish was simply delicious. Reminded me of Ms. Julia’s cooking from around the way. All meals are served with plantain and I don’t even think I need to describe that for you. Just get em and eat em. Nuff said!
