I saw Dr. Brian Solberg. Straight to the point and took very good care of my knee. His scheduler, Valerie-Ann, was very efficient and followed up and after my surgery. Highly recommended.

First, I’m obligated to provide a definition, as that most think that orthopedics is about the feet, thanks to Dr. Scholls: or·tho·pe·dics also or·tho·pae·dics n.(used with a sing. verb) The branch of medicine that deals with the prevention or correction of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system and associated muscles, joints, and ligaments. In 2011, while riding in the express-lane of the south-bound 110, I became the victim of a hit & run, when a white Toyota truck decided to cross the double-yellow line right in front of me. Among the injuries I sustained, was a shattered wrist that was so bad, it would never heal properly, and would require surgery to remove the pieces and replace with an artificial, metal replacement. The doctor/surgeon overseeing everything from beginning to end was Dr. Brian Solberg. Admittedly when I first met Dr. Solberg, I was doped out of my head, due to the extensive injuries I had sustained. But I recall clearly that his bedside manner was exemplary: taking his time to explain what had happened in terms of the injury, and what was needed to repair the damage– thorough, but not overtly technical. He spoke with you and to you, rather than down to you. After the surgery, I was prescribed physical therapy twice a week, with a visit to Dr Solberg’s office every other. He would thoroughly check the progress of my healing, flexibility, and what to expect in the future in terms of pain, joint stiffness, development of related problems, etc. No stone was left unturned, and all questions were answered. For anyone who has orthopedic trauma, and requires examination, surgery, or rehabilitation, I cannot recommend Dr. Soldberg enough.

Lots of miscommunication between the 2 doctors there. Very focused on giving you unnecessary procedures. Lack of care and explanation on what they do to you and what you need. Now currently at a 2nd specialist to fix what they messed up on the first time around. I guess that’s what happens when you have HMO and you get assigned there. Good thing I switched out.
