Small truck between Western Ave and Oxford Ave. On 3rd St. My favourite thing to get here are the Tortas. 6 bucks but worth it. The tacos are really good too. Definitely recommend this place for a late night quick on the go meal.

Atmosphere: It’s a food truck outside parked on the curb along at the corner of 3rd/western. They put out foldable chairs in case if you wanted to start just eating at the truck instead of waiting to take it home. Service: There is only one man and one woman in the truck making your orders! During busy times(5pm-6pm &11pm-1am) your order can take maybe 10−15minutes if you’re unlucky and get behind someone who is ordering dinner for their family. There are reviews talking about how the food truck guy doesn’t acknowledge you for a while if you’re at the order window; Those reviews ARE true as I’ve experienced the same thing, but I saw that the guy was busy carrying out previous orders. I just stood and waited for 5 – 6 minutes and he kindly asked what i wanted to order. Food: I cant get over how bomb the burritos are here. Asada is second to lengua for me and Juanita’s food truck has got to be one of the best. The main reason Juanita’s is getting 5 stars though is the hot sauces. Both the mild AND hot are really good. Typically mild tastes the same where ever i go(like sour and spicy?). But the hot sauce here is actually spicy and not like red salt water. A burrito will cost you 5.50 A taco will cost you 1.50 Excellent prices and the size of both the burrito and taco are comparable to chipotle at nearly half the cost. A must try for drunk adventures or just a regular lunch/dinner outing~

Aside from the popular El Taurino, this is my place to go. They serve the BEST tacos and burritos. I love their tacos and their service. I was there just yesterday and I was eating in my car when I saw a homeless man dig through the trash and tried to eat something he picked out but Juanita’s people gave him what looked like a plate full of tacos and a drink. Juanita’s is delicious. They’re nice. They’re awesome! 10STARS out of 5.

Never had a chance to try the food because I stood at the window and a lady attendant looked right at me and never acknowledged that I was standing in the window hoping to order a few chicken tacos! Cool… maybe she didn’t see me? Then the gentleman that was manning the grill notice me and also did not acknowledge that I was trying to order!!! Don’t know why, Don’t care why… ended up taking my $$$ to «Boo’s Philly Cheese Steaks» and guess what they did??? They greeted me and said«we will be right you sir»!!! ITWASGOOD2!!!

I only go to this food truck because it’s so close to my gf’s house literally a block away but the food is never anything to give me the wow factor there’s too much competition around to give them a high rating for subpar food.

Can’t go wrong with $ 1.25 tacos after midnight. Ordered the pastor and asada to go, which comes with light salsa and generous meat portions. The spicy sauce is as spicy as the other reviewers say, which is to say a tasty challenge for anyone who loves spicy food.

The food is great, the servers are accomodating, and the portions are huge, they aren’t stingy with meat. Love their Lengua and Tripa Burrito which I sometimes order mixed together. Their red salsa packs a lot of heat which is how I like it. I suspect that they spike it with ghost pepper or Carolina Reaper based hot sauce which is just great.

This taco truck is really close to my house and the workers here are really nice! I usually get their quesadilla or burrito asado(both are 5.50 as of now). The quesadilla has a lot of cheese and comes with lettuce, tomato and avocado. They also give you a side of sour cream and retried beans. The burritos are a decent size but I usually add 50 cents for them to put cheese on the burrito. They also have container cups for you to put the sauces in. For sauces they have the hot sauce, green hot sauce and the guacamole. There are also chairs there if you want to sit and eat your food.
Overall, the food is fresh and I never had a disappointing experience here compared to other taco trucks I been to in ktown that served me not so fresh items. Great place to fill that Mexican food craving!

Best taco truck in the neighborhood. Carne asada tacos or al pastor is where it’s at. Burro’s and quesadillas are good too. I eat here a lot.

I love their tacos and used to eat here all the time years ago… I would have given 5 stars but I was there about 30 minutes after their«opening» last week and I was disappointed to see that they had not yet arrived! I hope they are still there, because the tacos are good.

Third night of late night tacos. Please someone … stop me please. Actually this might have been the wake up call I needed. First night was El Chato, then El Flamin, and ending with Juanita’s. Got the El Pastor & Carne Asada Tacos. Blegh. no one makes a good Carne Asada taco anymore. I can make a better one at home. Onto the El Pastor… Everything was fine … nothing spectacular. I have to admit they do jam pack their tacos though. Usually youre left with a bunch of tortilla but they have a good ratio going on. Then after my second taco. HOLYHELL. there wasnt even a slow burn. It just erupted in my mouth. I thought I was dying. My husband was in the corner dying of laughter. I made him get me a cup of milk. Wow. super spicy. I cant say it had alot of flavor though. Overall the experience was underwhelming. sigh.

Egh. It was alright. I wouldn’t go out of the way to come here, and if I was in the area and hungry late at night, I’d check out other options before coming here again.

10:30 on a Wednesday night, no wait. Al pastors were great but did not like the grilled onions! I’m obsessed with cilantro, it was mixed with onions at this taco truck. Too much onions for me! The worker was super nice and my tacos was done in about 5 mins. Why is their hot sauce so hot?! It was unbearable! They didn’t really have any sides out besides the cilantro/onions and got sauce. However, they did give me a bag of limes/cucumbers/radish. All in all it’s a perfect late night snack.

They grill their taco shells to just the perfect texture. Sadly, the rest isn’t nearly as impressive. Totally average carne asada. And the red sauce is that spicy-for-no-good-reason type of spicy. The kind that has no flavor but a TON of holy-crap-that-really-crept-up-on-me heat. Not a big fan. Neither are most people, evidently, as you never see a line here.

Closed on Tuesdays. No longer have the salsa bar/condiments. I love Juanita’s! I use to eat here/togo a lot maybe around 5 years ago. The food itself is still delicious but things like the DIY condiments & overall upkeep of the truck down graded. Their red sauce is so spicy. You can see a lot of seeds in the sauce. Seeds = spice. Tacos are 1.25. Big, full of meat. For togo orders I ask for the onion, cilantro, and salsa on the tacos. I appreciate how they wrap the togo orders in plastic Saran Wrap and not foil.

Juanita’s tacos is worth a try. Although I’ve definitely had better salsa. It all boils down to the sauce! You could curl your hair, makeup your face, but if you throw on a burlap sack… you could easily be messing with a good thing. Maybe that’s harsh. The salsa here is scaldingly spicy, but lacking in depth. Al Pastor was better than the fatty, rubbery asada. Quesadilla was fine, but nothing to write home about. Will probably stick with our other go-to taco spots. But like I said, it’s definitely worth one try.

Juanita’s is light years better than El Taurino. Let it be known. It’s not my favorite truck, however, it is pretty dang good. Their tortas are amazingly delicious and succulent, dripping with flavor and packed with goodness. Their sauces and condiments table is nothing special but goes well with all their foods. Their tacos and burritos are solid. Good amount of meat and garnish. It is also cheap(like many other trucks). I think their carne asada and lengua are the best meat they have here. Their tripas are also flavorful and delicious. Parking can be a problem since they’re located on 3rd and western(no lot, street parking only). They’re usually not super packed so that’s also another plus.

Ill be the 70th review. I had Mexican food 2 nights in a row. Yesterday they were closed(tuesday) and I had MADD cravings for asada burrito and ended up in another taco truck down the street which was just okay. Today went back to Juanitas and got the all meat burrito and al pastor tacos. Al pastor taco was a 5 star! It was very good. Id go back for that. All meat burrito was good too. Lot of meat. Loved the fact they mixed radish with cucumbers and lemon. That complimented well with the burrito. Feel like a fatass. But enjoyed my food here so thats all that matters. Will be back for the al pastor taco for sure. That one is one of the best. Jumping from kbbq reviews to taco truck reviews. Thats what happens in K-town. Telling myself: Now go to the gym and burn it off!!! But what happens in reality: Well… tomorrow…for now just be lazy and be a couch potato(suffering major food comatose)

After almost a 3 year absence of living in K-town, the quality of the food has remained the same at Juanita’s Tacos. But, I’m afraid I’ll have to deduct a star from this review, since I don’t fully get the same warm feeling from eating here like I used to. For one, all the condiments are mostly absent from the outside counter of the truck. The hot sauce and onions/cilantro still remain, but everything else is stored inside the truck. Relinquished due to the fact that some stupid patron probably caused issues by either taking too much or ruining the quality of the sides for everyone else. SAD. However, the service is still friendly and the prices haven’t changed to my knowledge. ALLMEATBURRITO I still favor the carne asada burrito over their tacos. All meat, no beans, no rice, with cilantro, cheese, onion, and sour cream. Ask the lady behind the counter for a side or cucumber, radish, and jalapeño and you’ll thank me later. The green sauce sure hits the spot and I take a bag of extra onion/cilantro for good measure. DELISH! I still like the idea of not having to wait too long for my food or to place an order, unlike the rush hour at El Taurino. However, the tacos @ El Chato Taco Truck have come up big time and many are now leaning towards El Flamin’ Taco as well. I still think Marielas Taco is a viable contender. MEXICANCOKEISSAFE(FORNOW) Numerous reports online claim that Coca Cola from our neighbors to the South will no longer contain real cane sugar, amidst an increase in tax for sugary beverages in Mexico. However, that news is false and the sweetener in the soda pop will not be replaced by high fructose corn syrup. That’s not the case for Coke sold in Mexico. The fizz chugged in vast quantities by Mexicans has long been sweetened with a mixture of high fructose corn syrup and cane sugar. The mix varies, depending on which sweetener is cheaper( ).
