Jorge Rodriguez, MD

I’ve seen a lot of gastro docs over the years. A lot. Out of those I’ve seen two good ones. Dr. Jorge is one.
The two best things I can say about a doctor are that they know their stuff, and they care for you like a human being, rather than just an illness.
Dr. Jorge does both.
It starts with his staff, who are friendly and genuinely helpful. Got me an appointment on a day’s notice when I was feeling bad, and I really appreciate that. They give you all the info you need to known, forms you can fill out on your computer rather than sitting there in the office, and even make sure you know about the 2-​hour free parking just around the corner on Bedford next to the Rite Aid. It shows that they care that they let you know about that.
It made me feel better just to go someplace where everyone was nice! It really does help your spirits when you’re not feeling well.
The office itself is beautiful, and, once again, everybody is super friendly. There weren’t dozens of people sullenly waiting, either. Very well managed.
Dr. Jorge spent time listening to my concerns – and he made me laugh (always a good sign)! He took his time and never seemed rushed or distracted.
I’ve had ulcerative colitis for many years so I know what to do when I have a flareup, but I wanted to get his opinion. It was was different than I expected, and he prescribed a drug he said could make it better in just a couple of days. He sent the RX via computer, I checked with the pharmacy (Dr. Ike’s in Studio city – they deliver!) and yes, they got it (which hasn’t always been the case with other docs I’ve seen). So again, very efficient.
I have another appointment next week for a follow up, and I will follow up here as well. But so far, so good!

Dr Rodriguez is an EXCELLENT Doctor! Very personable and knowledgeable. He really takes the time to get to know his patients. As a gay man, I am very picky about choosing a Doctor. I want someone who is going to be gay or at least gay friendly so that I know that I’m getting the best care and most current information regarding my physical and sexual concerns along with someone who is going to be sensitive to my sexuality. Dr Rodrigues and the SoCal Mens Medical Group are able to accomplish just that and more! I highly recommend them!

Took the time I needed to get all my concerns out. Dr. Jorge was really knowledgeable about what’s happening in the medical field currently.
Judy in his office is so funny and nice. They play off of each other so well it really puts you at ease.
Dr. Jorge has a couple books currently out on Amazon that are worth checking into if you have heartburn or diabetes. I always enjoy seeing my him on the «Doctors» show or the «View».
Check him out. You won’t be disappointed!
