Ethos

This store was my most well kept secret, but I’d be doing them a disservice to keep it quiet. Ethos is a wonderland for unique clothing, it’s high school art teacher meets chic. I nabbed a hot pink (really really pink) silk embroidered ¾ length coat, a velvet green and royal purple floral burnout cardigan, newspaper linen skirt and today a long velvet olive coat with faux fur cuffs and neckline.
This is not the mass produced crap you can find down the street, these pieces are lifelong collector’s items that are carefully chosen by the wild and wonderful buyer. It’s inexpensive for the quality, but don’t come in expecting basement bargain deals, most items are between $ 40-​$ 100. Still, everything I have bought here will remain in my closet for years to come.

The pictures I took on my mobile didn’t upload correctly and now seem to be lost, a pity because words cant describe… boy was this place unbelievable. Want a dress that looks like its made of newspaper? They have it! Want a jumper with the full face, eyebrows and all, of Frida Kahlo– in velour no less? Got it! Want a Lord of the Rings style cloak, with brocaded embroidered hems? Right in the front! It looks like someone cleaned out their eccentric old aunts attic and put it all out for sale, too many priceless gems of joy. I love it. Please check this place out. It will be worth it.
