My parents came to visit, and true to my dad’s spontaneous and impulsive nature, we randomly ended up here because my dad decided he wanted pupusas. They were very nice when we came in and answered all of my parents questions about what the various pastries that they had in the front were. We decided to buy our food to go because it was getting late and my parents wanted to go back to my place to eat. We got a couple of pupusas and some sopas. The food was good but a little on the greasy side. The wait for the food was very long but we figured, at least we know that they take their time and make it fresh!

Went in like 2 days ago, ordered a Pollo guisado dish. Served with side salad, red beans, and rice. And served In a really good portion for the price. Left this little restaurant very satisfied and definitely will come back.

I really like this place! I found it one day while getting my oil changed nearby. Its very clean and the staff is super friendly. They have really good food and the prices are super reasonable. The jukebox can be a bit loud but otherwise it’s a nice place to eat. We go for breakfast mostly.

Delicious pupusas! I came on a Thursday for lunch and pupusas were half off. I had one revuelta and one bean and cheese. Normally, I am not a huge pupusa fan but these were quite good. I also enjoyed the pickled cabbage. Also, the manager is such a nice guy! I’d definitely come back.

Good restaurant, I usually go for the pupusas revueltas on Tuesdays and Thursdays for only 1 $, you can either take out or dine in. The owner is super friendly, everytime I go in he asks for my boyfriend, that just shows that he likes to keep a relationship with his clients. Note: I only go for the revueltas, haven’t really tried anything else on the menu.

I love this place, their pupusas, «ensalada» natural juice and«salpicon» are the best!

Delicious pupusas which range around $ 2(though they are $ 1 each on Tuesdays and Thursdays!) Their fairly large and crispy when they come out. Best topped with the tomato(?) sauce and picked veggies. Their fried plantains are my favorite and are only $ 3, which is pretty good for the amount. They also have a delivery and online order option. Though if you order online, I recommend calling them just to make sure the order went through. Either way, you can also call to order. And for non-Spanish speakers(as many of the places around this are are her small businesses owned by Latino immigrants) there are folks who work at El Salsabor who speak English very well if you’re concerned about order over the phone. They are super nice and prompt!

Primera y ultima vez aqui. So basically came here for the first time. At first we were greeted in a kind way. As soon as we sat down the waitress attitude changed into a negative way. I was eating my food and found a small brown hair. My hair is black. The waitress said it wasn’t a hair I think I’m wise enough to know what a hair looks like.

I had 2 Popusas… they were moderately sized… decent price, and the cortido was good and plentiful. Delicious! I also had a dessert empanadas, which were sweet and soft. The only downside was the there were no free refills… otherwise it would’ve been perfect. It’s a bit hidden and looks rough around the edges but inside is quaint and manageable. Service is okay and the overall atmosphere is inviting. Affordable and gets the job done! 3.5−4÷5 rating.

The best pupusas I always get chicharon con queso ! The people that work there are super nice. I like that the owner is there all the time and he takes the time to talk to the customers to make sure everything is good.

The caldo de gallina is amazing! They marinate their chicken with mustard & other spices that makes it amazing when you eat it with your caldo. I would give it 5 stars, but their pupusas are slightly greasy for my liking. Other than that, the salvadorian Horchata is amazing as well!

Pupusas the size of pancakes! Got a tray of 30 bean and cheese pupusas for a staff breakfast. Turned out wonderful. Curtido and sauce were awesome! Would take a drive to get these again!

I kinda like this place. I’ve only ever come here on Tuesdays though because the pupusas are only 1 Dollar! They are a bit greasy and the salsa is just a tomato paste, no kick at all, but the cortido was flavorful and seriously, for like $ 6 you can eat pupusas all day, why complain about it?

Just had catering from this place and had to know where the food was from. The cheese pupusas, plantains, chicken, and beans were amazing. Everything was so fresh and thoughtfully made– no unripe or undercooked plantains thrown in the mix as filler. I look forward to eating here soon.

Good Salvadorean spot the pupusas are non greasy, good size, very thick and filling. My mom order a sopa de pata I got to try it, it was pretty tasty. The service was fast and friendly and the prices were very affordable. Its not in my area and not spectacular enough for me to go out of my way to eat here but pretty solid place if you are in this area. Street parking only.

Loved there pupusas and pastellitos. The restaurant is empty most times but most people are like me who prefer ordering and picking up food to go and you can do that here. It’s better than eating burgers all the time lol. So if you want something different try it, it’s like a regular Salvadorian restaurant.

El Salsabor is what I term«Gente» Food. Home cooking straight up from someone’s abuelita if abuelita cooked like a champ. Yummy pupusas with cheese and loroco. I had a Salvadoran delicacy known as «sopa de pata» or cow foot soup. It’s a thick slightly spicy and tangy soup made with yep you guessed it, cow;‘s feet. Popular in Carib countries and Belize. If you like things like chicken feet dim sum or headcheese you’ll probably like this soup. I know it sounds gross, but much to the chagrin of imperialistic landowners from days gone by it’s a hearty yummy soup. Not recommended for finicky librarians enjoy eating in hermetically sealed silence as the juke box plays latin pop, salsa, and mexican oompa music, while an hdtv plays the latest in intternational soccer.
