My favorite place to go for lunch ! I love their tostadas with the creamy cilantro dressing. Honestly I think I like El Pollo Loco because of that dressing. It is so scrumptious! I wish I know the recipe to make it so that I can eat it everyday! Price range is affortable and ingredients are always fresh. There is always a huge line but it goes pretty fast! So please do not hesitate if you should stay on a long line. The staffs are friendly and the food comes out really fast! Hint: you can get a dollar off if you do the survey on the back of your receipt. All you have to do is to call the number on the receipt and do a simple survey which takes less than 5mins;)

The food was overall good. I just asked for no pico or onions on my meal and they still put it in my salad. I think the prices are ok.

They just said they weren’t going to be open in 20 minutes. The sign says they open at 9am and it is 9:03. They were polite but I still feel like someone just slept in or they wanted to keep the line short. Probably both.

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like the campus EPL has higher prices than normal locations. Anyways, it seems this location has trouble getting my orders right every time. The salsa bar is also pretty nasty, with stuff spilled around the counter, and frequently out of cilantro, onions, lemons, jalapeños, etc. This restaurant is also stingy on napkins and forks. They told me once I would have to pay extra for more than the 2 napkins they give me, for a burrito that always falls apart and leaks. While it’s one of the better restaurants on campus, it still isn’t that impressive, and for that, 2 stars.

I tried El Pollo Loco again tonight because I thought ‘It’s been a while, maybe their quality is better now.’ Wrong! Also I thought the tostada salad would be a bit healthier but it has a ridiculous amount of calories. I even opted for no rice and it was still heavy. I asked for my chicken to be well done and the cashier told me it’s charbroiled(implying it was already that way), but it wasn’t hot or fresh for that matter. I hate it when this is my only choice when other food joints at school have closed up shop for the day.

This place is A-ok. It is easily the best food offered at CSULA that is not from the overpriced restaurant. The employees are always courteous to the customers when I am there. They greet me with a smile, and their service is very fast given the onslaught of students they can sometimes face. The food is fresh, it is not a 5 star restaurant, but it gets an A in my book for food quality and great service. The salsa bar does sometimes get rampaged by students, though. Overall, I am a fan — and it’s A-ok.

This place always hits the spot when I’m on campus. best food here I think. Food tastes soo yummy. Id recomend the pablano burrito with no cheese :) Only downside is the wait,(cuz so many people eat here) but the staff works their tail off! Constantly busy! Another thing is that sometimes they forget to add avocado and sometimes my fries taste cinimonie. but other than that. Life is loco !

El Pollo Loco on campus, hooray! The line is ALWAYS long here, sometimes out the door. They also don’t always have the same specials as other locations or as advertised through the media, so I would read the menu or check before waiting. Otherwise,. they have a good selection and the food is good for whats on campus. Oh, and the sauce bar is always a mess as well!

Ugh, I guess I just can’t win here. Came once again today for my $ 52 chicken crunchy taco combo(now only $ 4something because I did the survey online) and I encountered a very disorganized staff. The guy at register did not give me my soda. No big deal, that happens whatever. My crunchy tacos sat for several minutes(I gave up watching at the 7 minute mark) while the fries were still cooking. The guy who gave me my order just seemed in a bad mood, flustered and rushed, slamming food down. He seemed annoyed when I asked for my drink. By the time I got to the other side of campus to eat my order I found out the hard way that I had no napkins or ketchup. I now have a chicken stain on my jeans. 2.5.

I Love their chicken rolls, especially with the cilantro sauce(make sure you get at least two, for it is so delicious you will run out quickly). Avoid this place around 12−2pm, it gets packed, I usually go around 2:30 and I rarely wait for more than five minutes for my food. I do wish they had the $ 3 deal that the PL near PCC has(or had, maybe it was a limited time only).

This is more a review for the Foster’s Freeze attached to El Pollo Loco. I went there to get a «large» chocolate-dipped cone after a midterm because I deserved one! I paid the cashier, then waited as what looked like the manager(the guy in the green shirt) replaced the bag of instant fro-yo in the machine and proceeded to fill my order. He did not disappoint! I kid you not, he handed me a cone with a FOOT of chocolate-covered frozen yogurt sitting on top. It definitely made up for the midterm! I’ve definitely had better chocolate and frozen yogurt and the cone was just a plain old cone, but I could not help but smile as I ate my foot-long $ 2.29 fro-yo cone. Thank you, Foster’s Freeze Santa.

The El Pollo Loco on campus at Cal State LA is arguably one of the most popular restaurant in the food court, if judging by the line of students waiting while other restaurants stand empty. As far as fast food goes, there are lots of options, and they’re plenty tasty. Employees are Cal State students so I’m biased; they’re paying their way through college this way, in many cases, so that’s an excellent thing. The food is good and they’re relatively fast. Perhaps a bit slower than the other options, but again, that’s because they’re the busiest. A good choice if you want fast-mex and you’re on campus.
