The food here is so good. I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this place if your in the area. Way better then King Taco.

Huge line for mediocre yet high priced food. Though it isn’t advertised, please be aware that they only accept Visa whether it is debit or credit. By the time we finally received our takeout order, the asada fries were cold in a congealed splotch of cheese. No salsa options were given either. I would give this place a pass unless there are no other options.

This is the worst spot in my hometown of El Sereno, CA. I have frequented the establishment more than a couple of times, they are notorious for having a landline and never answering it. For those of you looking to skip the line which at times goes out the door, better luck elsewhere. The employees will allow the phone to continue beeping after they silence the initial ring. I’ve made the call while inside the restaurant to see what their normal business practices were, terribly unfortunate… Now, I went back about a month ago on a return trip from my college campus. We decided we’d grab some King Torta on our way into Los Angeles. Immediately upon eating the Torta de Asada I knew something was wrong… There have been times where my overtly sensitive teeth can chew through rough under/over cooked meat. This was not the case. It was neither, the meat was RAW. I got extremely sick within 30 minutes of eating my meal. Please be cautious when visiting this establishment. You must be vigilant for yourself and your family, because this«restaurant» could in all honestly care less. –Diego

I love King Tortas food, been coming for a minute, but today I got a burrito with bad carne asada! so sad and disappointed they served this to me! The meat had a greenish shimmery tint that I only noticed after eating much of burrito. I’m not a professional cook, but I know the signs of bad meat. It sucks the cook did not dispose of this from the start

Worse asada fries ever! The fries were old, the guacamole tasted like plain salsa Verde. The only good thing on the fries was the carne asada. It was supposed to come with cheese too?! They should name them old fries with green sauce and a pinch of I guess its cheese… worse ever. I only live up the street from this place and rather drive somewhere than to get old greasy carne asada fries. I thought they were better. Poor quality and I had to wait about 20 min for them. Never coming back. On top of the fries being old we got food poisoning from them. Yes thanks to those fries the porcelain god is now my friend…

Best flamed beef(carne asada) in the GRANDE burrito — 10⁄10 rating by my friend who joined me. About a 1 ½ to 2 lb burrito by my approximation. Small Nachos for $ 3 was really a large size with the most beans, cheese & guac I have ever seen! Portions — GENEROUS, HUGE Service — Courteous, FAST(ready in 5 minutes at 4pm on weekday). Atmosphere — Small & Busy. Clean, Fast-food style. Now I know why people rave about this place. Will be back.

So I went here on a Thursday for lunch on around 12, It’s sort of in a seedy neighborhood, but it’s fine in the daytime so I know this place it’s not too bad. The parking was adequate, I found a spot right away. When I went in I noticed everything was priced fairly okay, nothing too cheap nothing too expensive, I got the carne asada Torta, which was good and it was good enough to eat. There is a cashier up front, so fast food style restaurant. Put line was fairly quick even on busy lunch hour. The food came out within in 15 minutes despite it being lunch rush. The bread was warm, and was very soft and delicous, The beans were not salty and just perfect, The meat was cooked just right, and then the slices of avacado just made it perfect. So I say A+ torta. The Torta here is 5.75 plus tax, you can choose from pastor, carne asada, Chicken, etc, I will go back since it’s near my school.

I LOVE King Torta. but I’m always on the go. Everytime I try to call to place a Phone Order they Never answer their phone. Never. …but the food is delicious. And then I have to go eat somewhere else where I can phone my order on. :(

$ 6 Crappy BURRITO… Today’s date is 04÷01÷16(APRILFOOLSDAY). Yes, i was fooled. You’re better off buying a «Tina’s» microwavable frozen burrito from the market folks. Not saying the food is bad here just don’t get the burritos they are pretty darn crappy. Look at the width of the ruler in comparison to the burrito, it’s almost the same size lol… Yes, it’s pathetic. I honestly thought my co-workers were playing an April fools joke on me. Well I guess that’s why it’s called King Torta and not King Burrito. If you want to try a real burrito or just good Mexican food check out the Unilocal reviews for LLAMARADA you won’t be disappointed. LOCATEDAT: 2622 Pasadena Ave Los Angeles, CA90031

Get the super nachos!!! You will not regret it! I never do! I’m writing this review and I haven’t even been to King Torta in like 3 weeks, just having a fat day dream! Make sure to share it with someone, you will not be able to finish them on your own!

I’m not really a torta person, but I do expect fresh bread. Not something that’s hard as a brick. So that wasn’t that great. Tacos = meat dry and tasteless. Large white undecorated walls, and a semi-clean floor. Restrooms were nicely saturated with toilet tissue everywhere. As for the service, not even a cracked face to resemble a smile.

Tasty, but not worth the drive I took. I was really craving a good torta too. The menu online says, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro and avocado. Um where are my tomatoes? One tiny slice of avocado really? Not to mention, the dudes working were lame and acted as if they were working a funeral. Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon. :(So disappointed.

This is not about the food. The food is delicious, I had the super nachos and considering the price the portion was HUGE. However, I hated walking in and ordering by myself. The cooks were so perverted and frankly made me feel super uncomfortable. It does not make me want to come back by myself. Even walking out I could see the reflection of the cooks on the door and one of them was staring at me until I was out the door. I felt incredibly violated and thus the 3 stars. Management needs to put them through training on respect and boundaries. Sincerely, A very disappointed and uncomfortable customer

There is a parking lot for this place but, it can get packed fast. So, there is street parking on the side. I usually only come here for their super fries. Their super fries are delicious. I had tried their other food: burrito, nachos and tacos and I think they’re just okay. The super fries are about $ 7 something. I got el pastor super fries which, was delicious. El pastor, fries, refried beans, guacamole, cheese and a lot of sour cream. Ask for onions and cilantro on the side. They do take credit card, which is a plus.

I really like this place. We came here for lunch during a stuffy training course. I am so glad that I did. I even came back after the class to grab some to go. I ordered the guac fries. The guacamole has a little kick but it is not too spicy at all. The fries were crispy and a little salty – the way that I like them. We also ordered the carnitas torta. It is really big so we split it in half and still had too much to eat. Anyway the bread was light and airy. The meat was well seasoned. I added avocado and I was not disappointed. The horchata was just not good at all. The prices are low and the staff is friendly. I will definitely be back.

How can you specialize in sandwiches but not have any mayo??? Fish taco was pretty good though, grilled so a healthy option. But their carne asada torta was kinda plain and it didn’t come with enough meat. The sandwich could be improved by mayo, cheese and more meat. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, nice size parking lot, clean, and the staff was nice enough. I probably won’t be back. Plenty of other torta spots in the area that are better(ie. Wendy’s Tortas).

I had some high hopes for this place when I got there. FIrst of all it’s name is King Torta. Secondly, upon walking in to the joint I noticed that it was very spartan, no frills, even the menu board above the counter was very spare. It only had about 20 items on there, with half of them just repeating options of whether you wanted your asada/al pastor etc on a torta or in a burrito. Which is good, I’m thinking that damn this is one of those places that means business, they just do a couple of things, but they do those things very well. Like a professional torta hitman. That was what was imagined, it wasn’t quite what went down though. I ordered an asada torta with everything and an asada burrito also with everything. Both were satisfactory, but tbh the torta came out kinda of sloppy, the meat was a bit dry and lacking seasoning, i wasn’t that impressed. The burrito fared a bit better, maybe it got a bit more moisture from the rice and beans. So for my first time there, it was just ok. I’ll come back, next time i’ll try the other meat options. maybe they’re better?

This place kind of looks like the empty walled in and out. The seats are similar, and the size of it is pretty decent. Now for the food. The torta that they are known for our good! Really good! When you open the bread, it doesn’t look like much meat. Keep biting into it and the meat will fall out, they do pack it in! As for the fries, I was expecting just a little bit of guacamole and some meat on top like the usual loaded fries that you would get at other places. No not at all. The fries were drowning in meat and guacamole. I loved it! Quite the satisfying meal. I will definitely come back here again. I can see why they have such high ratings.
