The folks at Sony Pictures Studios had these waiting for us in the green room during a recent taping of a certain game show(ahem). These donuts are legit. Most of them seemed like the more dense, cake type of donut, but man oh man were they good. I tried the sprinkle donuts and I’m kind of sad I couldn’t take the whole box home with me by the end of the day. Now I find out they’re cheap as sin too?! I’m leaving today, but I’m tempted to take an Über and grab some before the flight home. Officially obsessed.

I like the location and the donut display looked fantastic but my chocolate glazed donut was underwhelming. I didn’t enjoy eating it but I still ate the whole thing so I’ve had worse. My hot chocolate was pretty good. I doubt I’ll return but if I do I’ll update accordingly.

Simple, old-fashioned donuts that you grew up with and nothing too crazy. But I do wish they had glazed cronuts or the oh-so-popular blueberry cake donuts! Donuts are fresh, you get a large sized iced coffee for cheap to get you through the day, and they are always so friendly. No bad experiences so far, but the parking lot is a little packed.

Decided to pick up some last minute donuts Wednesday night for the family to enjoy for breakfast on Thanksgiving day. Did not expect a large variety since it was 10 minutes before they close(10:00pm). They did have a decent selection remaining, and I order about 6 different types of donuts, including powder sugar, glazed, sugar twists. The donuts weren’t too sweet, except for the glazed(and the one apple fritter I go), but all of them were soft and moist. Really enjoyable.

I love this place. Ice coffee is bomb. And the sweet old man behind the counter is the best. I love going to these ma and pa shops.

Nice Asian man serving me donuts at 12am at night on a friday. Needed to buy a dozen for my nursing staff, and decided to buy one just for me for 85 cents extra. A dozen donuts were $ 8. I needed to pay with a card so he charged $ 1 extra. So bring cash, people! Nice man threw in 2 free donuts. Total was $ 9.85 for 15 donuts. Not too shabby. Probably will come back if I ever need donuts. Located on eastern right across from Cal state LA. Private parking lot. Tiny store next to a laundromat.

We ordered a cookies & cream smoothie and a strawberry banana smoothie that were barely drinkable. The strawberry banana remained untouched. We asked if we could exchange it, but they refused. The dozen of donuts were mediocre and had a strange taste in the dough. The watered down thai-tea was hardly the end. A few people in our group received stomach aches immediately. Avoid this place. Bad service, bad drinks, and bad donuts. It was also uncomfortably hot in there. Bad environment to enjoy bad donuts.

I go to CSULA, and finally came to this place in my 4th year after all these years LOL. I am thrilled at how the service, and quality of the donuts and drinks are here. Donuts are not overly sweet, but just the right taste. The drinks are bomb. I tried the Boba Thai Tea and the Cookies N Cream smoothie. The smoothies here tastes better than half the boba/tea house joints in SGV. And for this price, this is a win. The parking lot is kinda small, but it really doesn’t get packed. Located across CSULA’s Hertzberg-Davis Forensic Science Center building and next to the 10-freeway, you cannot miss this place! Since I commute to school from the east, I am visiting this place regularly once school starts!

Granny’s Donut has Ham&Jalapeño Croissants. I’ve been to a couple of donut stores around the area and haven’t seen this option elsewhere. I love my jalapenos in my croissants! Granny’s Iced Coffee is a must! A large cup for $ 1.90? A steal! It runs on the sweeter side and I’ll probably ask for less sugar next time if I’m back at Granny’s again.

«Granny’s Iced Coffee» Is just so refreshing to the mind. It wasn’t too sweet at all and the price fit it the best, I mean it’s only $ 1.90?! Next time I will try a donut from there. Parking could definitely be a disaster be cause they’re located in such a small vicinity of space. Conveniently across from CSULA campus near the 10 freeways.

Screw a krispy kreme or whatever. You must be a little funny to think kk is the wholy grail of donuts… they certainly are not. This is where it’s at. Best donuts in the neighborhood and at hours I want them, perfect for a night owl like me, when everything else is shut. I’ll make the drive and have fresh, hot glazed ones in the box and a cup of thai iced tea. The guy working there is nice, make sure to leave him a tip. Still have to try bobba tea and other goodies. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because I’d hold off 5 stars until I see something extraordinarily special and amazing.

Seriously? Best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Very quaint family business. I come often since it’s also walking distance.

You can taste the freshness and quality in every donut. Prices are super reasonable and the iced green tea with honey is pretty decent. The reason for the 4 stars is that the customer service is hit or miss. When the older gentleman is working he’s super nice. If any of the females are working be prepared for attitude. Also, this is one of THE worst parking lots to get in and out of especially when there’s traffic. The parking lot spaces are weird and the lot is tiny.

BESTDONUTSBESIDESKRISPYKREME! and that should say a lot! ok, almost any donut place you go to, the donuts usually taste the same more or less what makes a donut good is the texture and how moist they are right? i’ve been going to granny’s donuts for years since its so close to home. I have gone at random times, from early in the morning, midday and even near closing time. No matter what time i have gone its like if they just baked fresh donuts. I dont know what it is but their donut stay so fresh all day! every bite is soft and moist. if you cover the box of donuts in plastic wrap they stay fresh up to 4 days, i always do this, since ill buy a dozen donuts and usually eat them throughout the week and they always still seem fresh. other donut places after a couple hours the donuts start to stiffen up and loose their soft moist texture its just gross but not granny’s donuts. they have a wide variety of different donuts, i don’t ever care for jelly filled donuts but theirs are just amazing. the only place i’ll have jelly filled. my favorite hands down has to be their cinnabon one. its like a glazed donut with crumbs of cinnamon on top and its AHHMAZING. if you want some donuts and you don’t want to be let down i highly recommend granny’s donuts. once you’ve gone once i can guarantee you’ll be returning frequently. Its also a plus that they sell a bunch of other delicious stuff like breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, shakes and boba. the only one downfall i would say is that they do accept credit/debit BUT with an additional $ 1.00 fine, which honestly in my opinion, is totally worth it.

YES. I can personally vouch for their chocolate donuts, maple bars, coconut donuts, glazed donuts, CRUMB donuts, and chocolate twist but I can’t say enough about the huge cinnamon swirly looking one next to the bear claw. Yum! They’re open from 4am — 10pm everyday. I dare you to just go in for one donut. I’ve tried but it never seems to happen.

Every time I’ve come here the donuts are always soft and delicious, blows YumYum out of the water. They also make a killer Thai Iced Tea w/Boba. Simply: great donuts, great prices.
