I want to let everyone know that the catering service at the Corner Bakery is the worst that I have ever encountered. I have had to cater a lot of events through my job, and I have never met staff as terrible as at the Westwood Corner Bakery(The catering manager’s name is Stacy). I called multiple times to place a catering order and each time she asked me if she could call me back. I finally had to place an order with Le Pain Quotidien instead.

Terrible. We’ve been here several times and every time we order they are OUT of everything. I asked to try one of the few soups they had left and upon trying it realized that it was COLD. Also, good luck finding an employee who wants to take your order. Usually we have to yell at cooks in the back to ask if there is someone available to help us. We realize it’s a college town and operated by college kids, but come on.

Great food. Fast service. Great lunch specials. They have the very best tomato-basil soup. This is right in the heart of Westwood Village so it’s a great spot for students and staff of the university as well as patients and staff at UCLA Medical Center

This location is the worst. I specifically state that I am a vegetarian and order a soup and sandwich combo(no meat comes with either item so this wasn’t a super complicated order). They literally give me a meal that is the exact opposite of what I ordered and is utterly covered with meat. Wtf?! I heard that this location wasn’t the best but I decided to give it a try… That’s my fault smh

Where do they find these people? I’m convinced that they will hire anyone who comes in looking for a job. The food is reliable and pretty good, but the customer service especially at the register is ridiculous. Extremely slow, and they have no idea what they are doing. The people at the front forget to give you a coffee cup, or don’t know how to substitute things in their computer. The only positive thing is that the coffee is unlimited.

I came here with my son and ordered two egg pancake and egg combos, NOMEAT, well done, but add cheese to one of the scrambles. The girl who took our order wanted to charge me for the cheese, even when I explained I wasn’t having the bacon and if they could sub the cheese for the bacon. I asked her to ask the manager who said, of course they can sub the cheese. She forgets to put in our drink order, even after I deleted that 2 times, as well. Then, when they bring our food out(after a long time), there is a mound of bacon on top of our food. In the nicest way, I explain to the waiter that my son and I are vegetarians and we will not eat it if the bacon has even touched our food, if they can, please, make it over again. I go back up to the counter and let the girl know that it came with bacon. Usually, you, at least, get an apology, but nothing, she only said they were making it, again, with no bacon. They come out with my food, again, and it looks like they threw cold cheese on top of undercooked eggs, and the pancakes taste like mushy batter. I ask to speak to a manager and no one comes out, and it’s been 10 minutes. I have worked in the restaurant industry before and this is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them is what counts. Never coming here again.

Wow! That’s the fluffiest, tastiest, chocolatey-est Chocolate Muffin I’ve been lucky enought to taste. Fritata is reliably good. Hot Chocolate Drink is also reliably good. This is why I prefer Corner Bakery over Panera. Parking in this area. Good luck!

Quick and convenient for take out orders and also a good atmosphere to study in. I have gotten various things from here Including the Mac n cheese, chicken pomodori panini, butternut squash soup, Caesar salad, and the Anaheim breakfast panini. They have all been delicious, and the combos are a nice way to try different things if you can’t decide!

Food quality is good. I like their chopped salad, various soups, and the berry almond Swiss oatmeal. If you like sweets they have plenty of those. Diabetics should stick to the salad and gf allergists should stay away. Anyway, service is inconsistent, but not bad. If you’re sick of the UCLA Westwood medical cafeteria food, this is a nice alternative for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for long term hospital visitors. They have a free coffee every 7 card as well as a rewards app for smartphones. I’ve gotten free smoothies and drinks with the app.

I ordered 9 assorted bagels with cream cheese to be toasted and taken to go one morning. It was pretty empty, but the person taking my order didn’t really seem to know what she was doing, and it took a while for her to place my order in the system. After toasting, all the bagels were stuffed into a small paper bag with little containers of cream cheese. Because of the way they were packaged, I couldn’t count and make sure I had 9 before I left, but when I took them all out later, I found out they only gave me 7 bagels! No bueno. Some of the bagels were also kind of squished, and the cream cheese containers were oily because they were packaged with the bagels. They could have done better if they just paid a little more attention throughout the whole process. In previous experiences, their food is pretty average, with portions being on the smaller size. When you order tea, you’re basically paying $ 2 – 3 for a tea bag. Meh. Probably not going to come back again because of average food and subpar service.

First, I want to say the loaded baked potato soup was absolutely bowl licking delicious! I also ordered the southwest chicken salad but no chicken! I took notice to the board and it comes without chicken but I had requested it with it! Some browning in the lettuce and I got close tithe butt of it on two occasions

I had not been here before and honestly, I can’t remember what I was doing in Westwood at the time, but I ended up here. They had the most yummy looking selections of breads and I needed something to take to a party that evening, so I got some. I was delicious, reasonably priced and right there. I bought the pumpkin bread and a coffee. DOS12202014

Excellent pastries and breakfast menu. I frequently bring my family here when they visit. In terms of breakfast, the pancakes and bacon are great. The noise level is always troublesome, and expect most of the tables to be filled with students using the place as their personal study space. The servers often become bogged down with orders, and I’ve had to send back food before since it was cold. Overall, a good choice for coffee, tea, pastries and breakfast. Other meal times and menu choices are a little too hit and miss for me.

I am a strict vegetarian and specifically requested the pesto carbonara WITHOUT chicken and when I got my plate I found not one, but TWO pieces of chicken. Although the pasta was delicious, I couldn’t finish my meal because I was so turned off to the meat. It may seem crazy, but I was raised this way and it makes me physically ill if I now actually eat meat(thank god I found it before). In terms of ambience and study space it’s very good with free WiFi. The food is usually good and it’s usually clean enough to work on.

I’ve always wanted to try this place, but what forced my hand was the free Spicy Asian Pork Sandwich offer that they had going on a few weeks ago. For free, I got half a sandwich, plus chips, and a cookie(free cookie from signing up for their ecafe). I also ordered a small coffee since I felt bad for not paying anything. The place itself is located right in the heart of Westwood, pretty close to campus. Thus it definitely seemed like a popular study spot. The design and food really reminded me a lot of Panera, a similar café chain. I sat down at a table with the intention of studying a bit. One thing I noticed right away was that there weren’t a lot of power outlets. I could be wrong, but I only saw outlets by the small tables that were lined up along the small walls in the middle(already all populated by UCLA students with laptops). The sandwich was refreshing though. I really enjoyed the asian fusion like aspect of it. I thought the pork packed a nice punch and was tender enough to go well with the bread. I didn’t use the sour sauce that was given though. I felt that the flavor of the sauce would totally overpower the sandwich, and this was confirmed by my friend who also got the same thing except drenched in the sauce. Overall the food seems to be great. I didn’t have a good sense of the overall pricing of the place since my meal was essentially free. It also seems like a popular study spot although I personally like places with more outlets if I plan on going there to study. I’ll definitely try going there again and ordering something new.

Donde quiera que haya un CBC este seguro que de va a comer rico. I love this place, specially during late lunch. The chicken pannini es el mejor. Por su puesto todos los dulces son una delicia. Excellent option for a quick and decent meal.

Corner Bakery isn’t a restaurant that you can get the best food from, but what can you expect from a chain store? My go to meal from here that’s never failed to get the spot is the mac and cheese w/tomatoes and bacon. The entrée side is enough for two filling meals for me. It also comes with a slice of roasted garlic bread. Pro tip 1– If you sign up for their newsletter, they often send out coupons for free baked goods. Pro tip 2– If you’re getting to-go, call ahead and order so you minimum the wait for your meal. I had a coupon for a six pack of free mini cupcakes with the purchase of an entrée. The pack came with 3 vanilla cupcakes and 3 chocolate cupcakes. All the mini cupcakes had a really rich chocolate frosting and mini M&M’s on top. The cupcakes were nothing special and didn’t really look all too appetizing either.

This place isn’t located on the corner, nor does the baked goods entice me, BUT they do serve up an amazing breakfast. Luckily this location offers pancakes as a breakfast item, a treat not yet available at all Corner Bakery locations. And boy oh boy are they tasty! I LOVE getting the pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausage. The pancakes– CB really gives you the dream pancake. Not too fluffy(where its more dough than flavor) yet they aren’t too thin. It soaks up the syrup at just the right level that you won’t even think twice about the small container in which the syrup is served. Also at 5 cakes a stack you are guaranteed to feel full after this hearty meal. Please add butter at your own risk, which adds another level of delectableness that you may not be able to resist. The Chicken Apple Sausage– This bad boy will raise your meal but .30cent but will bring you so much joy that it’s worth the splurge. I’ve tasted quite a few chicken sausages in my life but this one takes the cake. CB captures both the savory-ness of the chicken with the sweetness of in apple in this yummy patty a feat far less accomplished. The eggs– Are just eggs… scrambled… fluffy and could be excluded if you are looking to save a buck. Overall tasty breakfast! Can’t really go wrong at lunch either. Service here is always fantastic as well. Orders are taken with precision and everyone is always friendly.

I hope the employees at corner bakery are paid well because they are a delight! The servers are always ready to serve with a smile, patience, and humor. Example: I asked for a container so I can add my own ketchup and they not only gave me a container but gave me «fresh squeezed» ketchup. I didn’t expect that and don’t expect that everytime as I was going to do it myself. Corner bakery’s food is delicious thanks to the combination of fresh tasting ingredients, lightness on the grease, but fullness on the flavor. For breakfast, I go with the Anaheim Scrambler with egg whites. There’s no extra charge for the egg substitution woot! For lunch you can’t go wrong with half sandwhich/half salad in the form of a grilled chicken pomodori panini and caesar salad. Décor is relaxed, warm, and cozy. Just like my stomach.

I love corner bakery. This particular one is a little dirty because it is far too crowded. I had a pesto pasta with a side salad. It was yummy. It was filling. I couldn’t ask for more.
