WELOVEDTHISPLACE! we got the smokey meaty burger and boy oh boy was it good. Yes, it costs $ 9.75 but it is extremely filling and so worth it. Also the lady who took our order was so kind and helpful. We love Comet BBQ

They were located outside of the last Street Food Cinema event I attended. My Wife and I choice this truck because they had some yummy looking options and had a relatively short line compared to the other trucks. First off the food. Amazing, great crisp fries, baby back ribs were literally falling off the bones with a mild spicy sauce and the chicken skewers were mouth watering good. I loved the food and that almost merited 5 stars. They lost 2 stars because it took almost an hour to get our food. Their menu is too diverse and everyone in line appeared to be ordering different things. Our friends who got in a different line, longer mind you, at the same time got their food and had eaten and disposed of there trash before we got a taste. Thus, I Iove the food, I recommend it, if you have the time to wait.

I had the pulled pork grilled cheese and let me just tell you out of the 4 times I’ve been to a food truck this has to be my top one on there. The bbq pork with that melted cheese all accompanied each other so perfectly next time I’m going to LACMA my eyes are going to be on the look out for this place.

PULLED. PORK. FRIES. Spotted this gem across the street from LACMA last Sunday and first we saw bacon fries on another truck but once my eyes met with the sign, I knew, it was what my heart wanted. Waited 7 minutes of mouth watering and stomach growling for prep of what my mouth most desired at that moment and the pork was smoking and just melted on my tongue with the crunch of French fries. Definitely a must have, gotta try at least once, and I’m all for it. Homemade BBQ sauce was delicious. Would love to cross paths with this truck again to see what other treasures are on the menu.

Comet BBQ fed our employees here at REVOLT and maintained such great customer service even though it was sprinkling outside. I definitely recommend stopping by Comet BBQ and tasting their food, it was very good and our employees enjoyed it.

Ordered the Pork Sliders [2 come in the order] and Fries walked away paying $ 10 so worth it as I made 2 meals outta it! The pork was moist, cooked to perfection myself personally I would had liked a tad more bbq sauce and no lettuce but that is part of the Korean BBQ I will keep an eye out for the Comet BBQ Ladies

I Found this truck parked by LACMA about 4 months ago, ordered the ribs and they were the best ribs I’ve ever had… so tender, the spices were just right, a little spicy and sweet… I was not a rib fan until I tasted these, now It has become a twice a month ritual. They are parked by LACMA on the weekends so make sure to try them next time you are in the area… you will love them.

Yummy! The spices and herbs they use are really good. I sometimes stalk this food truck since they’re not always in the same spots. I usually find them by the LACMA. the beef skewers are so tender. Usually at Chinese restaurants beef can be pretty chewy. Not here! Not too many choices but you can’t go wrong with the beef or chicken plates. Comes with rice, salad and Mac salad

Visits: 1st Rating: 4* Service: Good Dishes: Angus Burger; Pulled Pork Sliders This was one of several food trucks serving at the Made In America festival at Grand Park(8÷31÷14). One hour wait in every food truck line. But no choice, hungry as a hippo. ¤ Angus Burger(4*). Hot off the grill. Simple burger with Angus beef, bun, cheddar cheese & lettuce. The Angus patty was thick & flavorful. Not in the sense of spices, didn’t taste that. But more in the sense of grilled beef flavor. Wasn’t sure if it was open flame or over charcoal but it almost tasted like it. Good burger. Wifey loved it because she loves simple beef flavor with no added spices/outside flavors(except a little ketchup with burgers). With the right high quality beef, you don’t need much seasoning, if any, for it to taste good. ¤ Pulled Pork Slider(4*). Tender pulled pork drenched in flavorful BBQ sauce & topped with a handful of greens. Plenty of pulled pork for the sliders. The pork overflowed off the sides of the buns & onto the plates. Wife thought it was a tad on the sweet side but not too much. She’s not into sweet sauces. But she still thought it was good. I think it’s just right. It was sweet BBQ but not overly so, to me. It’s all on preference.

Since my regular Lunch truck wasn’t around today, I decided to give Comet BBQ Lunch Truck a Try, been meaning to for a while now, the picture on the side of their Truck drew my Eyes ;P I wanted to try out their Lance Beef BBQ but they were out –_– so i decided to try out their Chicken Skewers(Lance), i told them to skip the salad and macaroni and just to give me extra rice, the Friendly Cashier said no problem. while waiting for my food, i took pictures of their menu on the side of their truck for other Unilocaler to check out the pictures have a description of the dishes and prices. when my order arrived, i took a picture and tried it out, it was YUMMY! you can see the portion of the skewers on the pictures. The Peanut Sauce was so Good, it enhanced the Chicken when i dipped the chicken in it before i bite into it. i was full. i just found me another excellent food lunch! if you like any of the photos i posted, I would recommend you give them a try.

I had to stay late at work yesterday ~ the thought of it killed me until my co-workers and I were discussing South Bay Din Din Ago Go at Narbonne High School on Thursday nights… DING!!! So I checked the facebook page to see which trucks were scheduled to be there yesterday //quite honestly the Unilocal reviews are what made me choose the Comet BBQ truck(and two of my co-workers raved about the Kogi truck) I concur with the reviews I read — the girl at the truck is quite honestly the most friendly, spastic person I have met and her suggestions was spot on… the baby back ribs are DEEEELISH!!! Sweet, yet spicy with a little KICK! The dressing on the salad greens was pretty yummy too and for those of you that like the«green sauce» at El Pollo Inka — well the green sauce on the scoop of steamed rice was similar to that!!! YUMMMMMMM I will try the chicken skewers next time… I had to play rochambeau yesterday to decide between the baby back ribs or the chicken skewers ;)

I was speed-walking down food truck alley, making a bee line to get my weekly popcorn chicken fix, when I noticed an unfamiliar truck. I made a slight detour to take a quick peek at Comet Bbq. I saw a pretty basic menu and was just about to keep walking when a friendly voice asked if I’d ever tried Indonesian food. Thinking to myself, «popcorn chicken — don’t lose sight of the mission» I wanted to push forward. I responded with a wary«no» and the voice started tempting me with a list of tangy ingredients –lime, peanut sauce, jalapeño– The mission has been compromised! Fallback. Fallback! It was too late. Before I knew it I had a generous portion of rice, salad and sweet and spicy chicken skewers in front of me. Honestly the friendly service lured me in, but I was really sold when I took the first bite. It was filling and packed with flavor combos that were new and different to me. I look forward to coming back and trying the ribs sometime soon.

@CometBBQ Baby back ribs from a truck… And they’re gooooood! Seriusly, this truck makes some mighty fine ribs. They’re «fall-off-the-bone» tender and finished with a sweet, spicy glaze that definitely gives these ribs a tasty Asian slant. I enjoyed the hell out of them. But well cooked porkaliciousness will always win me over! But beyond that, the ribs are served with a salad and what tasted like garlic rice. I’m not sure that’s what the rice was but it tasted like it and had little crunchy things in it. If you have a chance to try these ribs I highly recommend them and the price is reasonable. The rib combo is only 8 bucks! So I’ll give these guys the best recommendation I can give… ________________________STALKER APPROVED_______________

OH. MY. GOD. AREYOUKIDDINGMERIGHTNOW? $ 6 for a mouth and belly full of pure delish. For $ 6 I received four tender, tasty and emotionally fulfilling beef sticks, thick and creamy peanut sauce, soft rice with a tangy and spicy sauce lightly drizzled over it and a bed of greens. You are my new favorite food truck. Please don’t ever abandon me.

Purely from the point of view of buying baby back ribs from a truck, this place rules! So the first thing that must be said(and you’ll notice this if you ever try this truck) is that the lady who takes your order is maybe the MOSTEXCITEDPERSON ever to sell you ribs. It’s like the girl shot herself out of a Molly-Induced Happy Cannon. At first I was kinda thinking she was flirting with me but quickly realized this was her whole thing when she took the 12-year old girl’s order after me. OK, that last part didn’t happen but it felt like it did. Anyway, by contrast, the person who actually preps the food is quite the opposite. All business and no fuss, this lady just rocks out the hardest, all-business attitude and merely makes some of the best tasting ribs I’ve had anywhere… from a truck. I mean, in essence, these two ladies are like the very answer to the age-old question: «how would human beings personify the mullet?» Answer: with business in the front and party in the back, it would be these ladies bar none. For reals though, the food is pretty awesome. The rib combo platter comes with four ribs(attached), a hearty scoop of steamed rice, and a nice cup of mixed greens. There is also a small bit of chili oil and some green, jalapeño-cilantro like pesto that is spread slightly over the rice. Trust me, it’s Jean Claude Vam Damme-kick you in your scrotum-delicious, if you were a masochist kind of way. Anyway, I see some window washers getting ready to do the seasonal office window cleaning so I gotta go open my office glass door and piss out that sumavabitch. I call it «Galaga: Real World Edition». =P

Feeling a bit adventurous and craving something other than the normal American style food tracks I came across one of the best food trucks I have ever been to on my trip to LACMA. Along the street were several food trucks, but this place differed, since they actually serve Indonesian BBQ food. 4.99 for chicken skewers, rice, and salad 5.99 for beef skewers, rice, and salad 6.99 for BBQ pork ribs, rice and salad I had the pleasure of meeting one of the workers right in front of their truck and she was really nice in telling us what kind of food they served and how the current deal where if you like them on Facebook or check in on Unilocal you get a free soda ^^ My friend and I ordered the chicken skewers and the pork ribs. The taste of both were beyond amazing!!! We got 4 chicken skewers, and the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, right amount of seasoning, but to go along with the chicken skewers was a peanut sauce. Hands down, this was definitely the best peanut sauce I have ever had, not to strong but not to light. Chicken + peanut sauce = foodgasm in your mouth! The pork ribs were also amazing as well. They serve you about 4 bones worth, with plenty of meat on it. The sauce they had on it was a very sweet sauce, and had a very strong black pepper taste. The best part was the the ribs were super tender and cam off the bone very easily. Overall, the meal was amazing, and for just paying 12 dollars total, with the free two sodas for checking in, this is definitely a place to check out. PS, the plates they serve it on are some of the fanciest paper plates I’ve ever seen. Square plates are better than circle plates!
