The staff is nice, their chow mein is awesome, and the tables have been clean everytime I have ate there. Cant ask for more than that at 7 dollars a plate and drink.

I almost went with three stars just because this place was one of my guilty pleasures when I lived around the corner. It’s not fancy. It’s a hole in the wall, greasy spoon of a Chinese joint, but if I’m in the right mood, I do swing in and grab a couple of chicken skewers and some bbq pork. Sure, there are plenty of better places for Chinese, or almost any other kind of food in Los Feliz; but now that my old neighborhood is fully gentrified and completely over run by hipsters and wanna be hipsters, this is a great spot for no line and a meal under $ 10. It’s usually pretty clean and they do seem to turn the other dishes over pretty frequently — so if it looks fresh and you don’t mind what’s best described as Chinese mall food, stop by and order away. Scoff if you will — I will be back, two stars or not, meat on a stick is always in fashion.

Should’ve gone to panda. The chow mein tasted like it was day old and same with the rice. We’re curious how long the rice had been sitting out. Chicken had a decent flavor but I don’t think we will ever come here again. Only redeeming quality is the price.

This is a cool place that i’ve know for a number of years. I like the fast food they serve here, it’s very delicious! They also have boba which good. Their prices are not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get. The only problem is that they use alittle too much oil in their food which i find kind of uncomfortable. Besides that I would recommend this establishment at cooler weather.

This is the place to go if you’re first choice in a mall food court is the Chinese place. China Express has all your staples like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, chow mein, you name it. A nice spread of options so I’ll be sure to switch it up next time. It needs to be universally accepted that you get half fried rice, half chow mein with your combo meal. I see people getting all of one of them or just plain steamed rice. You need to step your game up and utilize your options. They also have Boba that I thought was deece. I got a Thai iced tea with pearls and a two item combo for a little over $ 10, and that’s pretty cheap for a meal in the neighborhood. But I just realized I didn’t get a fortune cookie. Boo!

Once I walked in to this business I was impressed by how clean it was. Also, I was updated very politely and friendly by it’s staff and the food was decent. I would definitely recommend this place to the readers. Lastly, the food is really inexpensive!

Wasn’t feeling Panda Express so I found this place on Unilocal. It’s true they don’t label the food which is a bit annoying but the servers at the front didn’t show any signs of annoyance. I was amazed at the price and the amount of food that they give! Their one and two item combos are about $ 1 cheaper than Panda Express, and they give you both chow mein and fried rice rather than just having to choose one. My sister couldn’t even finish half of her two item combo but loved the place. Some of their items do have a bit too many veggies and not enough meat, so if that bothers you I recommend the fried chicken or the bbq pork, both very delicious. Will definitely come again!

I… guess… this is food. That’s about the highest praise I can give for this place. Tastes like bland leftovers that weren’t fully reheated.

The food is BLAND… so bland, I could have mistakenly cut off and chewed some of the styrofoam from the container and not noticed the difference. Please tell me that this is some sort of joke that people are doing to us who are new to Los Angeles? Who is rating this place anything higher than one star? Really? Is Unilocaling your Avant Garde art piece to convince others to consume possibly the WORST Chinese food that I have ever had? You can have better Chinese food from the frozen food section than this barely edible slop in the shape of what would be considered Chinese-like food. Let’s start off with the«I’m tired of working 12 – 15 hours a day owner,» she’s not exactly rude, but she’s clearly burnt out from the business and the quality of the food shows. You walk up to the buffet-style, food is clearly hanging on to being luke-warm area. No labels… that’s cute, «Excuse me, which one is this,» as I wait for her to exhaustingly explain in her broken English what the item is called, I still don’t understand her. (Ok, I’ll just pick what looks to be edible) — this is what I’m thinking. You can choose the buffet style cheap food or the slightly higher priced, made to order food. From what I could judge from her tired expression, the last thing she wanted to do was make any additional food for the day except the large quantity buffet food. So, I choose buffet-style. I would have left right there, but because my dear fellow Unilocalers gave this place such high ratings, I figured some turns along the way are worth it as long as the food will make up for it. I think we can guess where it goes from here. I was hungry so I ate it. Thankfully, I was not sick afterwards, so I guess it was a sort of reversal of food poisoning.

I’ve eaten here a few times as I live and work nearby. Never again. I picked out a simple lunch of steamed rice and chicken with broccoli. Within a few hours, I was so sick I had to leave work early and couldn’t go in the next day either. I don’t know if it was a bad batch or what, but I’m not going to risk it again.

I was in the mood for some fast Chinese food and noticed that this place had pretty good Unilocal reviews. As it turns out, Los Feliz hipsters have gutter palates and don’t know the difference between Chinese food and actual garbage. For starters, none of the options are labeled, so I had to ask what a few things were before deciding what I wanted. This was visibly annoying to the employees, me, and the people behind me in line. Why not label stuff so you don’t have to deal with this every time a new customer walks through your place? I ended up ordering a two-item plate with teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. Aside from the orange chicken, everything was incredibly bland and dry. The chicken had literally no flavor, and tasted like someone hadn’t even cleaned it before cooking it. The fried rice didn’t taste like anything, and was practically inedible, and the chow mein that everyone raved about in the reviews were overcooked and dry. I ended up eating the orange chicken and throwing the rest away. At least when you order stuff at Panda Express, you get some sort of greasy, mucky taste to your food. Never again. Ew.

You don’t have to be a connoisseur to review this place, so I’ll keep this short and simple. This is cheap Chinese done right, I’d be crazy to bring a date here, but I’m more than happy to drop by for lunch, or dinner. This place is cheap, food is good and service is fast. Give it a shot.

By far the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Love there noodles. They give you so much food you can actually split it with another person.

Sometimes you just want cheap crappy Chinese food. This happens to be ridiculously cheap fast-food Chinese food that tastes like heaven that’s only .3 miles away from my place… So, therefore it’s my new favorite takeout place. Pretty much all you need to know is that their orange chicken is tangy, fresh, and tasty and their chow mien isn’t think and gross like what they have at Panda Express. $ 4.50 for a 1 item plate, which is what I got, and they gave me so much chicken that it was two pieces short of being a a two item plate. I believe it’s a $ 1 more for 2 items. Don’t come here if you’re expecting authentic Chinese, but if you want fast yummy fast-food Chinese, this is the spot.

This place is great. It’s always a sure bet if you’re looking for good, affordable Chinese food. I live only a couple blocks from here so I catch myself walking over pretty frequently. I also love how this place has been kept a secret for so long. Even my friends that live in the area haven’t heard of it. I guess that can be kind of a bad thing, as far as business goes for the owner. But for me it’s great! There’s never a line so I’m in and out quick and home that much sooner to devour the Chinese goodness. Every time I come here I stick with the same thing. I get the Kung Poa Chicken with half fried rice and half chow mein and two egg rolls. Amazing! The egg rolls are nothing short of fantastic. Plus the sauce they give you offers the lovely«fire-in-your-mouth» feeling. As far as fine dining and authentic Chinese food goes this place doesn’t measure anywhere close. But when it comes to cheap stuff-your-face Chinese fast-food it’s the best. The only downside to it is that the food is served cafeteria style so there’s no way of knowing how long the food has been sitting there. Hey, as long as it’s hot and tasty, I’m set. Thankfully, it always is. The chicken is tender and juicy, their sauces are fiery and tangy, and the employees are always nice. I love this place for a quick meal on a tight budget.
