This was one of my favorite restaurants for lunch when I was working at Kaiser… just because it was within walking distance… literally they were like 3 doors down. I didn’t like any of the lunch combos, their beef chili garlic basil was not up to par compared to Yai’s down the street. Their angel wings… let’s just say it was my first time trying angel wings and I never wanted to order it again here or anywhere after trying it. When I do come here for a quick lunch though, I order their spicy fried rice. I think it’s pretty good… or maybe it’s because I like spicy food. I also like their pineapple fried rice. It’s different from other places in that they don’t use curry. I just don’t like curry in my fried rice. So this was the perfect pineapple fried rice for me. Sweet and savory without being curry tasting. However, one time I ordered it, and there were no pineapples in my fried rice… how can it be pineapple fried rice without any pineapples?! =( This place is a bit small, so sometimes I just order for pick up and eat it in my office.

The 3 stars is in no way meant as hateful. Quite the opposite, i don’t often get Thai food but when i do this place delivers and is super convenient. The rest of the Thai/Chinese places around my house have disappointed too much. I mean if a resturant called Eat n’ High is whack… a part of you just gives up on Asian food in your area food altogether. I think that is why for some odd reason me and my roomie always forget this place is actually kinda good. It’s like we’ve surrendered our love of pan fried noodles up for no good reason. Every once and awhile when the craving gets to strong(or Albert comes over) we remember and look for the menu. Last week was horrible for me. I ordered take out practically every night. I came here twice… so that kinda speaks for itself. I’m one of those people that if possible will try to get something new each time i get take out. So naturally I’ve tried a pretty huge part of their menu. The thing is the food is OK not amazing. It’s not bomb but it’s the best i know of in the area. Quote me on that. For some strange reason I’m not a huge fan of their fried rice and I’ve been able to polish off even the crappiest takes without complaint. It’s my jam in short. The spicy garlic fried rice though is decent. If you don’t mind stopping every 3 bites to down a glass of water. Most of the noddle dishes are all for the most part good. The duck is usually on the dry side(which i thought was impossible). Most of the items on the a la carte section of the menu actually are worth exploring. I kinda don’t like their sauces that they give you for the orange/lemon/sweet n sour chicken. The nice thing about is they give it t you on the side so you can opt to dip them like little chicken nuggets rather than covering it with something thats kinda the consistency of hair gel. Yeah, i had to touch it. I guess i would classify it as a glaze. Ummmm, nah thanks. The appetizers are good and they have some pretty cool lunch specials. For dinner you just add on a dollar to the lunch special price which means you can get a full on meal with 15 $ and in THISECONOMY I’m all about it.

Okay I don’t understand the negativity! Eat n Joy is just that, eating and joying! I’ve never been there, I’ve only ordered delivery, but the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and egg rolls are divine! However, the best thing EVER on the menu is the spicy fried rice… I think it’s spicy basil fried rice, and let me tell you, it makes me swoon. When I’m particularly feeling like a combo of fat, spice, and carbs, the best things ever, I order this rice. It’s so good. We ordered from here a lot during college football season, and everytime, the spicy basil(or perhaps its spicy garlic) fried rice was gone almost instantly. awesome chinese delivery. come on peeps!

They took my order and then the owner called back and started to rant about parking in LA and how he’s not going to ever delivery to this address again, and acted as if I was somehow supposed to know this. I was quite a bizzare phone call and I hope you’ll consider not wasting your time or getting your hopes up with this business.

There’s nothing special about this place. It delivers if you want decent food that doesn’t taste spectacular, but similarly doesn’t taste like ass either. I don’t know what else to say — it’s just«OK.» It’s perfect if you have limited expectations on what you want to eat so long as there’s food in your belly. I can’t rate on the dining experience as I just ordered delivery(as I have been accustomed to doing lately… I swear, I have as many menus as a ho-bag has sex). But you never know when you’re going to need one on the fly especially when those crazy cravings kick in. p. s. Despite how the food is supposed to be a hybrid of thai and chinese, their food tastes more chinese than thai(at least to me).

Just on the outskirts of Thai town I have to admit that it’s rock hard competition, but this less-than-elaborate establishment has consistently produced some kick-ass meals since it opened. I don’t quite trust vague ethnic-blended restaurants because it’s like going to the same doctor for both an eye exam and a proctology exam; specialists make a more thorough effort. I go to a Chinese restaurant for Chinese food and a Thai restaurant for Thai. So…that set aside, this place actually serves pretty good food. Like… the fried rice that comes with the combo meals is nothing to rave about, but the actual dishes are very savory and tasty… and doesn’t taste like a typical Thai OR Chinese restaurant. Prices are very reasonable(5.25 lunch special) and the vegetable egg rolls are the size of hot pockets(albeit a bit stingy with the veggies). We ordered fried bananas and I had one, bit into it, and cringed. It was too dry and not sweet. Tried a second one and repeated my reaction through the third. I told the server that it was regretfully bland and he actually took it off our bill. That’s running an honest business for you. Waitstaff is nice and attentive and I’ll be coming again.
