California Silk

Great selection of flowers, vases, party favor materials etc. They have very good prices compared to the local Michaels Craft stores but you will need to deal with paying for parking and taking a bit to find parking if you go on the weekend. The 2 ladies at the register were very nice. The gentlemen they have on the floor giving prices looked very serious but were knowledgeable about what they had and were quick to give a price. If you need materials to make center pieces for parties this is a great spot to check out. If this place doesn’t work for you there are plenty of other craft stores in this area.

Good prices, great selection and lots and lots of accessories. I was looking for a tin of flowers for an art show, this place provided that and gave me some ideas too! Note, you can’t bring in other bags.

Diagonally across the street from California Silk (S. San Pedro on E 4^th) is another California Silk.
I guess it makes delivery to the store easy.
This outside of this store matches its loft surroundings. Look for the red and silver and not the blue awning of its sister store.
The inside of this store has potential to pack more products. Their flower selection seems to be less fall-​colors-​only (unlike the sister store), which can be helpful if your current project asks for spring-​colored flowers.
Their most interesting product is probably the birdhouses. The products at the front of the store are a little bland. I guess each store has their own little niche.
Parking here is also easy with curbside coin-​fed meters. If you’re lucky, you might find a failed meter in front! (Okay, it was a couple of meters down but close enough)
