I have been a resident at Bunker Hills for many years but I seldom use this market because of a worker there(I am not sure if he is the owner). He is extremely rude and hostile.

It’s like an oasis in the middle of Sahara desert. They open late on weekends and open till 11pm on week days. I did handful of birthday Christmas gift shoppinga here. Of course bottles of macallan, belvedere, wines, bubbles etc. so convenient and easy parking all the time. You will be amazed how big inside this place and they have everything you need for party, pool bbq and more party. Not to mention if you are lucky you can get yourself homemade hummus from their snack corner. Yeah stuffs are little overpriced but you can also find real good deals on some of fancy liquor. You go ralphs for toothpaste and toilet paper but you can come here for beer run. I need this store here in DTLA.

Being a bunker hill resident, it’s so great just to be able to have a store that essentially sells everything(like Ralph’s mini version) and walkable distance! They do delivery and there’s a dry cleaning service across! Wow, such convenience! This store made my like easier, and most importantly, I never went hungry at night cuz this store is so close to me!

I recently moved to Los Angeles for business and I was looking for a convenient place to buy liquor from for a friendly gathering I was having. I found Bunker Hill Market online so I decided to stop by to see what kind of selection they were carrying as far as liquor and wine. I was amazed by the selection of grocery and spirits that were available. They have excellent customer service and are very kind to all the customers. I also found out that they deliver all over downtown, so I decide to call in for delivery one day and to my surprise they were there with in 20 minutes. I highly recommend this store for anyone in the area living or visiting.

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 019⁄100 Stopped by for a couple snacks and drinks during lunch and they were organized and the cashier was cool. Liquor store fullllll of liquor, tons of different selections. Good food here too.

This bodega is a convenience store on the ground floor of a random residential tower that does NOT face 1st St or anything convenient. If you do not live/work/party in the area there’s really no reason to stop by. Having said that, this is the best convenience store I have ever seen. The booze selection is dizzying, there is a surprising amount of food selection for a convenience store, and the pricing is often reasonable. In fact you could probably pay more for basics at Gelson’s.

I do not know which is more troubling, that the management continues to allow this overt racist clerk and practices to continue, or that non-black customers do not seem to care. I am a witness to one of the racist events. In any event, this is one long-term customer that will avoid this business until management deals with the problem.

BEWAREOFTHERACISTNIGHTTIMESTORECLERK! Last week I went to this store to purchase some items with my credit card(a total of $ 40) and the the nighttime clerk looked at me suspiciously, asked me for my I.D.(okay), and proceeded to write my License number on the receipt(that’s NOT okay ANDILLEGAL). I asked him why he was writing my ID on the receipt, and he gave some story about credit card theft from some guy in Beverly Hills. Well, I recently revisited the store with my older WHITE male friend and he purchased about $ 100 worth of liquor and he was not asked for his ID and when I confronted the clerk with this disparate treatment, he asserted two new pretexts for his conduct towards me. First, that I looked younger and second that my order was over $ 100. I am a professional Black male and have frequented this store hundreds of times over the past 10 years and I have never experienced anything as blantantly racist as this. The clerk is about 5’8 to 5’10, stocky, bald, with a goatee. You should think twice before patronizing a business that engages in such conduct.

I looked up delivery alcohol on Unilocal and bunker hill came up. My friend was leaving in 30 min for an Emmy award ceremony and found out the biltmore does not have room service! Didn’t even offer her a solution. Losers, anyway bunker hill delivered a bottle of Dom perignon to her room on my dime in 20 minutes. Amazing customer service and a high end selection available to deliver on minutes.

This market is great. It has been here for decades. Expanded wine and spirits dept over the years. It use to be the only Market downtown for many years. In the great neighborhood of Bunker Hill that I represent. An established store with almost everything you would need for a meal. You can fry up a steak with butter, onions for dinner and for breakfast have bacon, sausage omelette with bell peppers, tomatoes, green onions and cilantro. Finished with some fruits like apple, oranges, water melon, honeydew, peaches(in season). Chased down with OJ, AJ, coffee or wine. They have all the ingredients you would want. Or from the deli, you can have fried Chicken, fries, corn dog, ham & cheese sandwich or tuna sandwich also. Pretty cool neighborhood store. Opens till midnight Friday and Saturday evenings. The guys that work here are all pretty cool.

It’s like a 7 – 11 on steroids! I go here 2 – 3 times a week. Gargantuan wine selection. Nice produce section. My two best friends Ben & Jerry are well represented in their freezer section. I’m so grateful to have this place literally next door to me. They open till 11pm during the week and till 12am Friday and Saturday. Very friendly staff. I’ve heard they deliver but I’ve never tried out that service.

if you live in the bunker hill region, or you’re staying at a nearby hotel, this place is a gem. amazing selection for what’s essentially a large mini-mart. particularly great in terms of booze, but upscale food staples for sale too. stays open late, though a bit tricky to find. for times you don’t want to go to ralph’s or woori, and you want a few(nice) things. this place is great, and the selection will blow your mind. just watch the dates on packaged products…

Alcoholics galore! As far as the alcohol is concerned you will find a big variety of both upscale and regular beer, wine and spirit selections. Cobra Malt to Delirium Tremens etc… I really dig this place because it also sells high end treats but you can still buy a bar of Kit Kat. I like it for it’s diverse products and OCD-like cleanliness where all the labels face forward as if the store where owned and run by Patrick Bergin in Sleeping With the Enemy. It scares me a little of what would happen if I turned a can of Campbell’s Chunky Soup around so the nutrition facts faced forward if the owner would freak out and cause him to snap in an uncontrollable rage and go after the stock boy. So I stopped turning the labels on purpose. ;) Speaking of the ownership, the young Israeli guys that man the cashier have a stick up their ass. I’ve gotten attitude from them a few times. You hand them your cash/debit cards and they slap your change/card on the table. Seriously? How’s that power trip working for ya’ bud? Or maybe I just can’t relate to a couple of young naïve Affliction t-shirt wearing hummus crapping chums.

Crazy good selections of beer wine and alcohol. Bell Claret Cabernet is a must try… Normal price is $ 40 and they are selling ’05 and ’06 Vintages at $ 25! Great prices. Tis is a gold mine for a wine lover.

I live in the same complex as the market and I must say it is convenient. Great for liquor and last minute needs. The selcetion is better than 7 –11. The prices are significantly higher than Ralphs but I guest that is to be expected. One other thing to watch out for is expired products. I have had that happen to me twice.

This market is fantastic! The service is always great. I can find almost anything in here. It’s true that some items are more expensive than chain grocery stores, but other items are even lower in price. It always has a sale on vodka. It has a massive selection of alcohol. Yes, Chad is super cool and an eye candy. So is his twin brother.

Th is place is a funky little market, but they have pretty much anything you could ever imagine here. It is like a little 7 – 11, but the guy who runs/owns it– Chad, is super cool. Always friendly. They have an extensive wine selection and almost any kind of alcohol you need. Check it out if you’re in a tight spot and need something!

This is a very convenient location to walk to for some reasonably priced last minute supplies… everything from fresh produce to organic soups to medication to booze… LOTS and LOTS of booze. It’s surprising that they can fit such a wide range of products in the store, and I don’t mean just the half of the store that’s alcohol. Speaking of liquid courage, the owner is friendly and will never hesitate to encourage you to buy some of his fine selection of booze! If ever I throw a party and run out of supplies, the party can move here! Oh and did I mention there’s a HUGE selection of alcoholic beverages? One thing I’ve never had is the food they make on site, so can’t vouch for that part. Oh but they did tell me about their delivery service to the local apartment towers in case you ever get so sick or so enthralled in your revelry that you can’t make the quick walk yourself…
