So many choices so little time. Its good, don’t get me wrong. I love the egg pizzas. Breakfast with bacon. But I miss a truely crafted craft pizza. Also, want the bar to serve NA beers. Thats it. Its great in the hood. Nice folks, great sodas, and a good spot to hang and talk.

The pizza is actually pretty good. I have a problem with the delivery service and the sit down service(when they are busy). The first time I ordered from BMPP, I had a Big Mama pizza delivered. This was on a Friday night and it took about 1.5 hours to be delivered. I understand Friday nights are busy, but I would imagine they would have staffed more than one driver for a Friday night. On the up side, they credited the order back. The second time, I decided to pick up. It was busy when I went to get my order, but there was no issue. The last time my family went to BMPP, we ordered a large CHEESE pizza. We decided to eat there and waited… and waited. We went up a couple of times, and they said it will be out shortly. The Meat Lover’s SLICE we ordered 10 minutes after the pizza showed up. At this time, we have already waited a little over 30 minutes. Finally around the 1 hour mark, the cheese pizza arrived. They credited the cheese pizza back, but free pizza can only go so far. They were busy this time as well, but really, 60 minutes for a large cheese pizza. We went two other times prior to the last visit and ate there. Everything was fine, the only difference, it was during a non-busy time of the day. So, just keep an eye out for when the restaurant is not busy and you should be lucky enough to have good service.

I ordered carry out from here and was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and it was just plain gross. The pizza was barely warm and it was so dry. I took one bite and already knew it was going to be bad. Not only was the pizza itself dry but the quality of the pepperoni was just plain terrible. It tasted rotten. This pizza isn’t cheap either for a one topping medium pizza(that would barely feed 2 people) it cost about 14. You’re better off picking up a pizza from dominoes. The quality is a lot better and way cheaper. Safe to say I’m not returning.

Ordered carryout from here a couple nights ago and was SO disappointed. Firstly, $ 8 for half a zucchinis worth of fried zucchini sticks? Absolutely ridiculous. The breading used to have seasoning, similar to the breading of mozzarella sticks and there used to be a ton of it. Now, it’s the same batter(I’m PRETTY sure) of onion rings and there is so few of it. Definitely not worth the money. Secondly, when we got the pizzas they were cold. You’d think that we picked up the pizza thirty minutes late? No, actually they made us wait ten minutes passed the original pickup time. Odd, no? I used to love this place so much but dang, you guys have REALLY tripped up lately. I wish you’d act up. «One of these times is going to be your last chance with me!» *runs away sobbing* — Janice from Friends.

Well, this was our first time buying a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs and it will definitely be our last. The pizza tasted very dry like if they just smeared some pizza sauce on the dough and sprinkled a light amount of cheese on top. Even the pepperoni was about 3 to 4 slices of pepperoni for every other slice of pizza and some only had 2 pepperoni slices per pizza slice, im not joking. The bottom of our pizza was actually burned and unfortunately tasted a lot like baking soda as if they put too much by accident maybe? With that said i can’t recommend the pizza, not trying to be a jerk either but i feel that papa John’s makes the pizzas better by like 100%. When it comes to the spaghetti and meatballs, it didnt really have much flavor, you can indeed taste some fresh ingredients in the pasta but for sure you would need some parmesan cheese if you want to have better flavor added to the spaghetti. Don’t get me wrong, the spaghetti looked very good in person and smelled delicious! but it did not taste anywhere near as good as it looked or smelled. The meat balls were awesome though so thats why i gave them 2 stars lol. The garlic bread that came with the pasta was more like a toddler size bread peace with too much butter. The service i got from the guy on the cash register was ok. He was more interested in talking to his buddy then helping a first time customer feel welcomed and assist with the menu items. Price wise, i believe its way too expensive for what you get in quality, taste and service. I dont recommend this place at all and have no plans in ever returning here or to any other mama’s and papa’s pizzeria location

Ordered pizza for the first time from BMBP Pizza. I was excited because I’ve heard how good the pizza is. I never expected to be so let down. The pizza delivery was quick, but the pizza was dry as could be. Seems they are afraid of sauce. We ordered two pizzas c one meat lovers and one white pizza with chicken. there were traces of sauce like someone at some point considered it, but quickly changed their mind. It was bland and dry. So disappointing.

This is my second BMPP I have gone too and the pizza is great! The Small and the«big slice,» according to the advisement, are both the same size but personally I think the slice is a better deal. I like to keep my pizza simple and their pepperoni has hit the spot both times! For those loving the speciality pizzas they have many many options of creative delicious sounding pizza. For those looking to throw a party they have lots of giant sized pizza options. So why the 3 stars? 1. BMPP! For everyone confused like I was while walking around Eagle Rock today. The signage is not very clear outside and I ended up walking into the tavern and being seated for 10 min until asking about their Tuesday pizza deal and being told I was in the wrong restaurant! Luckily I had 1 hour of time to kill. 2. I think the only good deal price wise was the big slice and that’s only for 1 topping personal pan size. I thought the pizzas were somewhat expensive and so were the appetizers.

I love it here! There’s soooo many pizzas to choose from and the price isn’t that bad either. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the guy that brought our plates and pizza was kinda rude… He kinda just threw us our plates like«Fml I don’t want to work here! Here’s your damn plates» lmao but the pizza was so tasty! :)

The Good: Fresh Pizza that is very flavorful, a + if you like garlic. Also, a very wide variety to choose from. The Bad: Not a sit down place, it’s a place your order at the counter and try to find a seat in the small dining room kind of place. Which is fine if you are expecting that. Looks are deceiving from outside due to it’s proximity to bar next door to which they have NO affiliation. Suggestion: Order a small pizza for take out and decide on your own if it strikes your fancy. From the delicious pizza I had once, I can’t imagine them screwing up any of the others but one never knows. Plus, pizza is like Beauty, it’s in the mouth of the pizza eater, everyone’s tastes are different. At least it’s not bad.

Great pizza. A little overpriced. Delivery is iffy. Sometimes it’s right within the time frame you’re given, other times, I’ve have had to wait up to two hours which is ridiculous. Order before you’re too hungry. :p

This review is for their delivery service. It was such an awful experience as not only did they extend the time once, but 3 times and after all is said and done it too almost 2 hours(1 hour &57 minutes to be exact) for us to get our food. I understand that sometimes restaurants are busy and certain times but at least give us the«real-time estimate» so customers can order somewhere else. What they did was gave us 3 different extensions. By the time the food came it was not hot, not warm but cold as if we were eating left overs(we may as well have). I ordered pizza and chicken wings, requested for condiments to which there was none. The chicken didn’t come with any sauces either. Food: was cold, was okay not spectacular. Maybe I expected more because some Unilocalers seemed to rave about the food. Price: was average Delivery service: terrible, took too long and food was no longer fresh. In fairness the delivery guy was nice and apologetic. To sum it all up I would not order again here unless I’m desperately hungry with no other choice and will definitely NOTRECOMMEND.

Whatever you do, DONOT bring children to this restaurant. This evening I took my 5 and 2 year old daughters there for pizza after dance class. They had about 5 TVs running simultaneously. Suddenly tears started rolling down my 5 yo’s face and I looked up at the screen to see two men in a meat locker and one man carving the other man up and hanging up his body parts, and my daughter has been staring at this for about 3 minutes. Blood and violence like I’ve never seen. When I asked them to please change the station immediately while trying to cover my child’s eyes, the guys behind the counter were laughing and joking and saying they really don’t know how. Finally another adult in the restaurant helped me huddle my kids out the door, dinner unfinished, my daughter basically traumatized for life. She’s now asleep in my bed after a tearful evening and we have many a sleepless night to look forward to. The worst part of it was the callous way the employees responded. The food sucked anyway but I would never take a child there knowing that there’s little concern for what’s showing up on those screens. I would have preferred some good porn, frankly. At least I could explain that to my kid one day.

Pizza is good and so are their salads. It’s my understanding that you have to go to the front counter to place your order, then the food is brought to your table. I noticed one reviewer who gave a low rating because apparently he didn’t know this and complained about the service. I think the food is fine as well as the service.

This is our go-to pizza delivery place. Our regular order is the Greek with sausage(it’s amazing!!!) and a pepperoni slice for our son. Sometimes we also get the carpaccio with capers. We have had the Alan pizza which is basically salad on a pizza-Yumm

typical big mama blank faces, disconnected attitudes, ugly seating area, and greasy pizza. to their credit they did cover the ny style pizza with 3x pepperoni as ordered, but without a coupon i would never have come here and even with a coupon i doubt i’ll be back.

Love this place! I’ve been to a couple of different locations and this one and the Studio city location are my favorite. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Their buffalo wings are currently my favorite! I usually get a vegan cheese with extra ham pizza. I love that that they have vegan cheese. Whenever I call in my order it’s always ready in the fifteen mins that they say it will be ready.

A bit pricey, not as good as some of the other pizza places in Eagle Rock. The only time we’ve had delivery it was 45 minutes later than the quoted time. The pub inside is nice, and good place to watch a game. The beer list doesn’t ever change and they specialize in the kind of «almost» craft beer– stuff from macro breweries that isn’t quite craft. A place with a lot of potential. Hoping they step it up a bit!

Worst costumer service ever I come here because I enjoy the food but the service sucks all because they have some short angry man working here with an attitude. The first time he was angry because a costumer asked if they can change the tv channel to the dodger game. The second time was worst he took my order it was a 17 dollar order and he charged my card 37 dollars. I get it we all make mistakes but not once did he apologize for charging my card incorrectly. When I asked when would it clear he had an attitude about it. That guy must hate his job and it shows don’t have to take it out on the costumers.

six of us for late night drink and food. Seated immediately and then ignored by the staff. Had to flag down a employee just to get menus… service was worse… the owner needs to find workers who know they are servers and depending on TIPS. I discovered most of them huddle in the kitchen just chatting…

It’s hard to give this place a rating … and I have to say this for the lack of consistency and quality in the food. I’ve been here on several occasions, and find that they have fabulous service, everyone is very sweet and alert. However, I have found that every single time I go there is always something wrong with my order, which they have always kindly taken off of my bill. However, when I go to a place I don’t want to have to have it taken off of my bill! I want to enjoy and eat it! Every occasion I’ve been here, I’ve ordered a soup(This past Wednesday I had the Clam Chowder), and every single time I get it, it is COLD which is very frustrating. I always have to ask them to re-heat it. Their appetizers, such as the hummus and bread and wings are a hit or miss. I do love their pizza & beer selection. Their pizza is always fresh tasting and delicious. Paired with a side of ranch and it all turns out great! So far, this hasn’t been a complete deal-breaker. I’m still open to returning on limited occasions.

Short version: I tip well, and so I would hope that my hard earned cash gets into the hands of the one that actually provided the service, instead of another behind the bar that paid me no mind. Make sure the tab that includes a tip you sign is under your actual server’s name and not under«Mariah». Longer version: I bring up that my tip went to a server that did not serve me to the manager(old dude with horned rimmed glasses… I miss Nick) he stated that they share tips, okay so why did the server name on the ticket need to change if they indeed share tips? Kinda shady since I wanted my generous tip to go to the one who actually provided awesome service… I’m gonna put my money where the service is, especially when there is talk about raising the minimum wage. Check your tabs and tickets so they go to your actual server and not all to «Mariah.»

I don’t know what to say. I haven’t had BMPP’s in a while and was having a craving for pizza so I decided that it was as good a time as any to order some pizza. I got a medium pizza, naked wings, and some curly fries. I was really looking forward to some hot, cheesy pizza, crispy chicken, and salty fries. What came to me was something else. The pizza came to me cold. The cheese was already solidified. This was disappointing enough. The wings used to be these crispy, piping hot wings. What I got was some burnt wings with brown, rubbery skin. The meat was cold and rubbery. I really felt like they had come out of a microwave. The curly fries were cold and stuck together in a massive ball. I’m hoping that this was all just some fluke but I’m seriously disappointed. And to think that I paid around 35 dollars for food that I hated? Please.

Slow service, food is mediocre, ambiance isn’t good. If I could give it no stars I would. I have come here 2 times because I lived in Eagle Rock for a long time and like supporting the restaurants. It seems to me as if the old geezer who works there does not need or want my support. So rude. The place was busy and I had to go up to the counter to order more appetizers for our group. He yelled at me to go sit down. Are you kidding me? I almost threw the food on the floor but felt that would be as despicable as he was. Never again

This is actually my second time here but my first time ordering their pizza and OMG! We ordered the half Mexican half Hawaiian pizza. Good choice on our part because the Mexican pizza is a bit spicy but OHSOGOOD. Our kids on the other hand don’t like spicy so its a good thing that they can do half orders and they love Hawaiian pizza. YAY! Everyone is happy! The service was great and very knowledgeable. We can be very indecisive on choosing what to eat but our waiter made some good recommendations and we trusted her judgement. We were glad we did because she was the one who recommended that we do half Hawaiian and half Mexican. The pizza was so mouthwatering especially the Mexican style pizza. I am coming back for more. Thanks for the great recommendations! The ambiance is good. They share the building with 5 line tavern so it can get confusing. We actually sat at the 5 line tavern patio but ordered from BMPP. The bar area is a chill hipster spot and kid friendly. SCORE! So what you waiting for? You absolutely MUST try this place out! Located in the great neighborhood of Eagle Rock!

There’s a door for pizza and there’s a door for the bar. I opted for the pizza because my tummy wanted to eat and was not in the mood for drinking. Man oh man their menu is massive. Not only in size but the variety! There is so much to choose from. I shared the medium Mexican Pizza. The cheese was stretchy(as cheese should be) and it was delicious. My complaint on the pizza would be the toppings and cheese came off the dough. So I was eating the pizza and crust separately instead of together. I’m not sure if it’s that certain pizza or the way it was cooked or that’s how it is. I’d love to try this place again and try something else.

Being a local, I really want this place to be better and certainly it seems like its going through some changes right now, so I would take this review as transitional and I’ll come back and update it. Seeing the new sign and frontage, my friend and I popped in last week. I believe they’re still in the process of getting a liquor license and so, what appears to be the bar adjacent, has brown paper on the windows. Theres a patio area with TV’s still wrapped up so I’m looking forward to spending summer out there. The pizza parlor is open and has an extensive menu of pizza’s, pasta and other italian themed items. My friend ordered the pasta at the counter. Given I’d already eaten I was going to grab some gelato but, to be honest, that looked a little sketchy. Much of it appeared melted but a lot of the tubs were empty so I guess it sells. When the pasta arrived, it was very greasy. And certainly unappealing as even the pasta sauce seemed to be making an effort to keep its distance. I will say service was good and the waitress was very nice and offered to get us extra utensils as she saw that we’d only ordered one item. Being a sucker for pizza and beer, I’ll come back one more time when the bar is open. Fingers crossed that this place is just going through some growing pains and will soon be a great addition to Colorado Blvd.
