Maybe once or twice a year, I place a large catering order at this location. Every time I call to order, I experience helpful service over the telephone. Patricio has been the manager who has helped me most frequently, and he’s great. After taking my order(to feed 50) last Thursday, he himself delivered it today(Tuesday). Everything was clearly labeled, hot upon arrival, and tasty. Patricio even threw in a separate entrée for free in order to accommodate a restricted diet. For a good meal delivered for a crowd, this is the place to go!

Stopped here before going to see a movie at the LACMA, it was pretty quick service, got the fish taco, shrimp taco, both were good and you get to use a pretty wide salsa bar, plus i ordered chips n guac, which was friggin huge, i needed 2 people to help me with it, not a bad place to stop at if you want some quick mexican food

Baja’s a little late to the party, but it looks like they too have jumped on the«Build-Your-Own» bandwagon. Being 2 blocks from a Chipotle, a Five Guys and a Which Wich and adjacent to the Counter, one need only take a glance down Wilshire Boulevard to see the ubiquity of this trend. Baja’s Build Your Own is basic, as it pretty much just involves scrambling the current ingredients in their 2 burrito options in different combinations. After Building My Burrito I realized I’d just built a Chicken Ultimo, which was already on the menu. As a chain, Baja is pleasant and innocuous but unexciting. They don’t have the hipster appeal of Chipotle or the greasy authenticity of the innumerable Hole-in-the-Wall spots scattered intermittently in every pocket of LA. I doubt this venture into pseudo-customization will change much. I wonder if maybe we’re due for a Build Your Own backlash. The next hot spot will be like In-N-Out, with 2 menu options that are tried and true. I’m starting to long for the days when only Subway had Sandwich Artists. Now we’re all Sandwich Artist, Burger Artists, Pizza Artists, and Burrito Artists.

I came here to eat lunch with some of the staff of the medical office where I do shadowing. I came here with a big appetite, and I was not disappointed. I got a custom bowl, with grilled chicken, grilled veggies, tortilla strips, cheddar cheese, and guacamole. The bowl also came with rice and legumes mixed in. When we ordered, we also got a small plate of chips, which I doused in Tapatio hot sauce and ate as an appetizer. To drink, I bought a bottle of water. The bowl came in a very good size, and is very filling. They had the right combination of everything. The wait time was not too long, it was about five minutes. And considering that this was lunch time, that was pretty impressive. The only thing that I didn’t like about this place is not the food, but the amount of time they validate your parking. Unlike The Counter, they only validate for a short amount of time. Thus my parking bill came out to be $ 20. Validate for a longer amount of time, and you’ll get your five stars next time.

This is nothing against the service — everyone behind the counter has always been very nice. I only ever go to Baja to put something in my stomach when I have 10 minutes to get to my next destination– similar to when a car needs gas. Nothing special, just need fuel, no expectation of anything decent. I don’t understand why the taste of the food here is subpar — the chicken is dry and pieces of it are burnt and any burrito I get falls apart after the first bite. I don’t even enjoy eating the left overs. I do think those who cook here should get a taste of their food just so they can aim higher. Maybe Chipotle down the street has spoiled me. And for what you get, it’s too expensive.

What I like here is the nachos. Gonna say they are plenty big and meaty if you go with the chicken. Another item I like here is then fish tacos. The shrimp taco variety plate is tasty. The staff here is pretty good and efficient. They have to handle high lunch volume so t can get nuts, but I haven’t had many serious delays. I also can see them preparing my order so I know it is being made fresh. Outdoor patio seating is nice when the sun is out. Plenty of people watching to do — LOL.

This location has gone downhill. They must be cutting down on costs. Used to have fresh-made chips. Now they have mediocre pre-made chips. The fish tacos are very pre-fab, like bad fish sticks. Burritos are dry with not as much flavor as before — chicken not as good quality. I’ve come here for years, but I’m not going back.

I don’t mind come to Baja Fresh in a pinch, and there aren’t really too many other options around here. But its still Baja Fresh.

This will be a very brief review. I love the salsa bar, I can’t get enough of it. It’s the main reason why I come to Baja Fresh. But this Baja Fresh is located in a great area. The interior of the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the food is like any other Baja Fresh. Overall a great place for lunch and dinner, but finding parking might be difficult during the lunch rush since it’s located on Miracle Mile. To good eatings.

I’ve had pretty good«lunches» here but decided last minute to come here with friends one evening for a quick easy pleasant little meal. Boy was that a mistake. At least maybe what I ordered was the problem. Shrimp fajitas. The shrimp seemed like leftovers from lunch. Awful. I should have sent it back and requested they re-do it with fresher shrimp. Seemed understaffed and when we asked the manager to please close up some of the sunbrellas on the patio, so we could catch the breeze, he said he would come take of that, but never did. So I closed up two of them but had to climb up on a chair as I’m only 5′ and barely 100 lbs. It was stuffy, minimal breeze, and all the damn umbrellas were still up from lunch time blocking what little air there was breezing through. Won’t come back here for a evening bite to eat… even if it is only down the street from me.

Gorgeous to sit outside today! Wasn’t expecting to have my mind blown, but I did. I had the crispy Wahoo taco, and I swear to Gandolf, it was the best. damn. fish. taco. ever. Not even kidding. Crispy, piping hot outta the fryer, perfect ratios of toppings, HUGE piece of fish, not tiny nuggets. oh lordy I could eat another or ten more right now… I do enjoy fish tacos from various places around L.A.: Taco Nazo, King Taco, Senior Baja, but I’m telling you, these were just the best. A squeeze of lime, and wow. Not sure if its just this location that was extra special, or what. I’ll be trying them at my neighborhood Baja that’s for sure. Hopefully, they will be the same.

Maybe it’s silly to write a review for a Baja Fresh, but here goes: I personally love the build your own burrito, and this location offers and easy slip of paper for you to check off all the items you want wrapped up in your delicious tortilla. It’s great and saves the fear of a cashier mis-hearing you or leaving something out. Although I was helped by what seemed to be the saddest college-age boy ever who clearly wasn’t satisfied with his job working at a Tex-Mex fast food chain, he didn’t stop me from taking a ridiculous amount of extra salsa from the salsa bar, so I commend him. The service wasn’t super fast, but they let me change an ingredient mid-order so I wasn’t bothered. Which, I must mention, the Baja salsa is fantastic. Mix it with the spicier variety for an extra kick, but I love it all on its own. Kudos for giving us a salsa bar so we can take as much as we want!

I think for the money this place is great. My go to item is the build your own burrito. It’s not amazing but it’s a decent burrito. I get black beans, guac, rice and veggies and mild salsa. It’s a nice option when I don’t feel like walking further down the street to Chipotle(which is amazing!). Also their build your own burrito menu isn’t offered on their website so here’s a link:

Very busy place, not a good choice to come here during lunch time. But food is very good. Since its busy, their foods are very fresh. I tried bowl with chicken, bean, and vegetables with spicy dressing they made. It was yummy!!!

This is an okay spot for a quick fix for some good Mexican food! There is a parking lot in the back for easy access! I was a little taken away that they couldn’t melt the cheese on my taco. Other than that I had a good experience here.

While recently holidaying in SoCal with my family I had the opportunity to visit a lot of mexican fast food restaurant as my son really likes nachos. This restaurant is very popular during lunch time. The whole customer service is industrial scale and makes you feel like a battery hen! This restaurant will partially validate your parking for a reasonable period of the time you spend in the restaurant. After running the customer service gauntlet and finding a table outside to eat at, I found their nachos quite tasty and fresh. My wife had the chicken quesadilla, which she really enjoyed. I sampled it and I agreed that it was pretty good for fast mexican food. Overall, this was the best fast food mexican outlet we sampled.

This is a review of take-out lunch from Baja Fresh on Wilshire. There wasn’t a line. The person taking my order was very friendly. I placed my order. While it was being made, I went over to the nice salsa bar and mixed up a batch in the cup provided for my chips and salsa. I did like the fact that the cup was a nice large size. The food came out very quickly. My steak burrito had some issues. Even though it was a very short walk back to the office, the burrito was cold. The quesadilla was hard as if it was stale. The ingredients were pretty good. But a cold burrito just doesn’t cut it. The Americano Taco with chicken was pretty decent. But there was too much lettuce and not quite enough of everything else. There wasn’t anything special about the chips. Overall, this was very ho-hum food and simply does not stack up against many other chains. In my opinion, it does not even come close in overall quality to Chipotle. I would only go back if it was the only available option and I was very hungry.
