I have been going to Rocky’s for about a year now and I just stumbled upon Unilocal and looked up their rating and reviews. The two negative reviews could not be from someone who actually went into Rocky’s. The 2 owners Al and Louis are very personable and make you feel at home whether it is your first time there or if you are a regular. I never had a bad meal there and I eat there at least twice a week. For lunch I usually order a hamburger, Italian hotdog, steak sandwich or taylor ham sandwich. They use real steak for their steak sandwiches and the bread is always fresh. On Friday and Saturday nights they have linguini with calamari or shrimp with their famous Rocky’s Mulberry Street Sauce/Gravy. Now for the person who said the floor was dirty, give me a break. Louis is a neat freak, he walks around the place with a spray bottle and paper towels cleaning up things that are not even dirty. Some times local restaurants go onto Unilocal and post negative comments about their competition and I would not doubt that happened here. If you are in Long Branch make sure you stop by Rocky’s, I know you will not be disappointed.

When you think of a classic local joint that is inseparable from the landscape of America, Rocky’s Jersey Grill immediately comes to mind. Their food is so goshdarn good, the milkshakes are incredible and the atmosphere is welcoming beyond compare. The proprietors of this restaurant make you feel right at home, and are genuinely concerned with the outcome of your visit. Could not recommend Rocky’s Jersey Grill highly enough.

The best Jersey hot dog I have tasted in a long while. I have been a long time Jimmy Buffs fan. I always had to go to north Jersey to enjoy a double hot dog with potatoes, onions, and peppers. Now right here in Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey, I can enjoy my favorite hot dog. The italian style staple is not oily and you can taste the freshness. The owners Al and Lou, go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. They spare no expense to get their ingredients from the best suppliers, which is evident from the superior taste of their food. We will be back with our family so that they can also experience italian food at its best. Al and Lou, thanks for a memorable experience.

Had lunch here on a nice day & sat outside. Staff was very personable & the food was good. Nice little place in the center of west end. It’s a decent burger joint. Décor is retro & kind of cool. If I was looking for a gourmet meal it wouldn’t be here, but the food is solid & I will return.

After a day at pier village beach in Long Branch with family, we decided to grab a bite to eat away from the beach… so we hopped on Unilocal after we headed away from the beach. We drove on second ave that had several eateries. we were standing on the corner and saw Rockys… and heard the music… my cousin said«rockys is rockin, lets try it» we walked into what looked to be fifty’s style, casual dining eatery. We were greeted with a friendly server who told us we could sit and our order would be brought to us We placed our orders, between 9 of us, we had an Italian rib eye, Rocky’s Rib eye, 2 hamburgers, 3 cheeseburgers and a hot dog. We ordered a broccoli rabe side, onion rings and fries… the onions rings were so good, we swiftly ordered another one, along with another broccoli rabe, French fries, and tried the calamari sticks… The kids had milk shakes. Lets start with the food… ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS… onion rings… WOW and the rib eyes were so tender and worth the $ 11.95 The calamari sticks were soooo yummy!!! My children had the milkshakes, I prefer them a bit thicker but they loved them. it was a quick, delicious meal which we enjoyed at thier outdoor tables.

I hate giving a place a bad review… but in this case, I hope to just save someone their money. Went here with my wife and two boys for dinner. Floor looked like wasn’t swept all day. No one was in inside eating… few people at outside tables. Employee at register taking orders was pretty much incompetent. Sat down inside to wait for food… the owner was walking around a bit and on cell phone. Common sense professionalism for a business owner especially if it’s slow… would have been nice to come over say hi, welcome, etc. Nope! Two of us got Italian sausage sandwiches. Sausage was tasteless. Other two had hotdogs. Do yourself a huge favor and go up to the corner and get a Windmill hotdog. I have no doubt this place will be closing in very near future. Unfriendly owner, staff and mediocre food won’t win here when it’s surrounded by so many better choices.

The food here is HORRIBLE! Spent $ 60 on greasy food. You do not know Jersey Food! My son couldn’t even eat his Pork Roll Egg & Cheese. The owner was busy talking to his family. He didn’t notice that that we barely touched our food. I brought my chicken cutlet sandwich to the counter to have it wrapped(thinnest cutlet I have ever seen!) and waited ten minutes and left without it. All of the food was dripping in grease. So disappointed!

We came here after reading on the Asbury Park Press that it just opened. Upon entering this place, my first impression was that it’s really clean and nice looking inside. It looks pretty festive on the outside. When we first got here, there was only 1 other table occupied. Hubs originally ordered the Turkey Sausage Burger but it wasn’t available, so he switched to Homemade Italian Chicken Cutlet with Broccoli Rabe. He had a choice between grilled or breaded and opted for breaded and thought it was ok. Daughter ordered the American Style Hot Dog with Relish and liked it a lot. I ordered the Italian Style Single Cheeseburger. It’s supposed to be charbroiled with potatoes, onions and peppers. I ordered extra raw onions and was hoping to get a lot of onions as one of the previous posters had mentioned about. I was disappointed that I didn’t get that much. LOL! The burger was a tad on the small side and tasted ok but a bit burnt. I guess that’s why they have double burger option and it’s charbroiled! It was a bit charbroiled for me. Daughter also ordered the Chocolate Milkshake and loved it. She said it was the best chocolate milkshake she ever had. I took a sip and agreed! Service was very friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu. Place is a little empty for Sunday. Hope they make it!

All the food was fresh and excellent. Even the French fries were homemade. Great shakes, chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Where do I begin… in a world where profit margins and cutting corners takes priority over quality ingredients… Rocky’s turns that idea on its head. Do a few things to perfection and keep it simple and success will follow. That appears to be Rocky’s motto in my opinion. First thing that comes to mind is the ribeye cheesesteak. Let’s just say that as I am writing this review I just finished my sixth one in the past week. The chicken cutlet and broccoli rabe and garlic delicious as well. Oh and their shakes are always on my check when I visit. I think you get the picture but don’t take my word for it go find out for yourself.

I would give them no stars if that was an option. Not enough food on menu and they didn’t have steak for their cheesesteaks. Need to step it up otherwise they will go under

The jersey dog is great. Burgers and fries were very fresh. Great place for families. The owner Louis is a very nice man who came out to make sure the food was excellent. Very cool atmosphere. There is also free wifi.

What a great place ! Louis the owner was there, what a charmer, made us feel like family. So many great things on the menu it was hard to choose. I had the chicken cutlet sandwich with broccoli rabe. Simply amazing, juicy, infused with olive oil and garlic on the best italian roll I ever had. Don’t miss this place

Went there for lunch. Had the double Italian hot dog(obvious choice) with the usual toppings, peppers onions and potatoes. The pizza bread was amazingly fresh and toasty. Potatoes, peppers and onions were all cooked through(that’s where most places go wrong). Way better than Jimmy Buffs which I grew up on. Only suggestion… ask if we want mustard and ketchup on it first so it’s all down in the roll, just like in Newark. Normally don’t like thicker cut fries but these were good, they were coated and seasoned nicely. Will return. Good luck!
