Thank you for saving me from staycation munchies! In my inebriated state, I had almost given up hope of finding something reasonably tasty after midnight… in New Jersey. I assumed this was a) not possible; and b) if possible, not likely to be worth eating.
It didn’t matter because I needed something to soak up the day’s alcohol. I figured it was worth asking the front desk staff at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa for food options. The young man at the desk offered me a menu from nearby Jr.‘s and said this was the way to go. (They’ll deliver right to your hotel room door – drunken score!) I ordered the crispy, spicy chicken sliders and fries.
PROS:
–These small sliders can be served on a white, whole wheat, or PRETZEL bun. I’d recommend the pretzel.
— Definitely a good bang for your buck. Don’t be fooled by the size of these sandwiches– it was nearly impossible to finish. $ 20 for the snack pack which gets you two sliders and a side or a drink
–They gave me the extra ketchup I demanded
–The fries were crinkle-​cut and pretty good.
–They’ll bring the food to the hotel room!
–Delivery was pretty timely.
— Open until 4 a.m. for all your late night munchies (this place is smart)
— Spicy sauce was slammin’
If there is a next time, hopefully I’ll eat more of my meal before I put myself to bed.

Please do not be fooled: mighty things can come in small packages. Jr’s was spot on for fulfilling those late night food cravings that literally brought me back to my senses. However, after the fun times subsided, the food was still solid, tasty and filling.
I didn’t check out any reviews and just went off of a recommendation, prior to ordering. I have to admit I went against everything that reviewers recommended. I ordered delivery on a Saturday night, yet the food was timely in arriving at a hot temperature. (Shout out to the hot, tall, dark and handsome delivery Man– someone get him a Unilocal account please)
I ordered the starter package deal which is probably best for two or three people and explains why I could not finish anything in one sitting. After calculating the cost, tax and tip I ended up paying wayyyyy less than what I was expecting (City living has me in this mode). Be aware that although servings do not look large, they are very filling.
The quantity and quality of the food was staggering. The crispy chicken jr (1 order comes with two sándwiches) put a lot of places to shame (insert any chicken sándwich making fast food chain here). The salad was beyond fresh with thin cuts of grilled chicken, fresh croutons, parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce and a caesar dressing that tasted freshly made. Tater tots were delectable with firm, crispy outsides and mushy potato insides.
What a way to make me rethink my expectations!

Someone recommended this spot for food at 2 am and considering everything in NJ closes early we came here without hesitation. I quickly read the menu and decided on Southwest Jr burger which consists on 2 burgers with onion blooms, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on a bun. Now as far as the bun goes you can order a regular white bread bun, whole wheat bun, or a pretzel bun. I went with whole wheat and my burgers cooked med well.
Now when you look at the menu for sides there a few choices. Most notably the curly fries, cheese fries, tater tots and the bacon burger fries. The bacon burger fries looks amazing but considering I got burgers already I just got the curly fries. So one order of burgers, curly fries and a soda is $ 16 so be warned its not McDonald’s prices lol.
I would say the food took over 10 mins to be ready but it was worth it. My burger was cooked perfectly and the curly fries was just the right level of crispiness. The only thing I regret is not getting the brownie bites, which I discovered after I had left.

Burgers are tasty and juicy the bacon burger fries with cheese are SOOO deliocus. I haven’t ever gotten a bad meal here and let me just tell you the spicy mayo fire sauce is to die for! The only reason they aren’t worth my of five stars are the flies ekkkkk I try to ignore them when I go in to eat. Counter help is always super great and the prices are right! Always have rotating specials and the meal deal is the way to go with a free drink!

OMG when this place first opened, they were amazing. Great burgers, sides, etc. I ordered last night and spent $ 35 on food that was barely edible. I placed this order online for delivery through JR’s website and while the delivery time was estimated at 55 minutes, it took over 1−½ hours to get the food and it was lukewarm upon arrival to say the least and then charged $ 1.50 for delivery! The burgers were dry and tasteless, which is what this place originally was known for! UGH! I ordered the Maui ($ 8.95) and the bacon on it was chewy and the mozzarella already congealed. My son ordered the original on a pretzel bun for an extra $.50 ($ 7.75) and the pretzel bun was stale and the burger dry and tasteless. Next comes the onion petals… where were the onions? We got a box of overcooked coating with no sign of any onions… at a cost of $ 6.50!!! Are you kidding me??? The fried oreos… OMG an undercooked donut batter with a smidgen of an oreo inside. Four of those for $ 5.50. The best part of this meal was the fries. Don’t waste your money… I could have gotten a better meal at McDonald’s for half the price!!!

Tonight, I went back to JR for a burger with my good friends. The food that we ordered was amazing as all ways! ! The burgers, are done just right, medium rare and juicy!
After eating a meal we started to walk out, and I didn’t realize that I left my purse behind on a chair that i was sitting at. Luckily one of the workers noticed my purse and caught up to me to to give it back! !
I am so grateful to that worker who not only brought it to my attention that I forgot my purse but took out the time to catch up to me and gave it back!
I know that i would of been a complete mass if I would of realized later on that my purse is missing.
I am really glad that, not only that I had a fantastic night and a delicious burger with my friends as a little snack, but also saw a huge improvement in a staff. Their observation and thoughtfulness toward customers improved dramatically! !
I thank all of them for everything! !

Surprisingly great food. The burgers and sandwiches are tiny, yet filling. The food always comes fresh, hot and quickly. A lot of different options, and if you’re a Monmouth student this is your go to order place, 100% over Nellys. Great drunk food.

Ordered from them and they told us 45 minutes, only to come 2 and a half hours later with no apologies other than «we got really busy.» I was hoping the food would at least be good after all that wait but it was a terrible meal after an absurd wait.

best take out food i have had in Long Branch. Quick like fast food, but good quality foods. Salmon wrap is great :)

Great food, great service, if you are in the area it is just the place to stop!!! Crab cakes & fish platter were exceptional. Parmigiana Jr. Was served on fresh rolls that melted in your mouth! Sidewalk seating on a spring day created a pleasant afternoon.

I love Jrs. I worked at Jrs in college and I honestly think I gained 50 pounds from eating there so much. I have now lost the weight and order from Jrs every so often. I love their burger wraps and onion petals!

This is a great burger spot tucked in a night life part of Red Bank. Great burgers no matter what you order. If you’re looking for a sweet part of the meal I would order the fried oreos which they top with powdered sugar. These are an awesome way to end your meal and satisfy your sweet tooth. The only minor negative aspect is that the items can be slightly pricey, but still worth it if you’re in the area.

JRs is one of my fondest food memories from my time as a Monmouth University Student. The burgers were beyond filling and delicious. The basil fries are a must try. The burger sauce was delicious. The delivery was ridiculously quick, even during the prime part of the night. They dealt with a lot of inebriated kids at 2am, but still served the best little burgers in Monmouth County. Their wraps are good too, if burgers aren’t your thing. The brownie and cheesecake bites are delicious as well.

First off, I’d give them ZERO stars if i could. Lived in Long Branch… plenty of great restaurants, fast food places and burger joints… this isn’t one of the great ones… caters to kids… you know, teenagers with rings in their noses, eyelids and tongues… not gourmet eaters… serve them dogfood and they’re happy… i ate at jr’s in red bank… got salad with chicken to go… came with 1 small cup of dressing… not enough but we learn from our mistakes… soooo, this time i ate at jr’s in long branch… ordered same salad… without chicken comes with 1 cup of dressing… i’m paying more to have chicken on it… the chicken requires it’s own dressing… not to these airheads behind the counter… you get 1 dressing mister… you want another? pay me!!! you don’t like? don’t come back… and i won’t…hopefully, you won’t either… go across the street to surf taco… very polite… go to windmill near the corner… very polite… you want extra pickles at windmill? no problem… no charge… you want chinese? ming ying around the corner… you want to make your own sundae? fro yo beach across from ming ying… you want Italian? tuzzio’s, nunzio’s or tony’s near the train station… so you see, i like long branch food… just didn’t like jr’s!

Best take out food I have hand in a long time! Also extremely convenient and prompt! I Recommend the buffalo chicken wrap & if you’re in the mood did deserts, the fried Oreos are like heaven.

My favorite place to eat late. Great food and cool atmosphere. Food can take a little while to cook but it’s worth the wait.

Burgers were great. You get two, so the price is a bargain. Comes with a side and soda. Only, don’t get the cheese fries. Or, if you do, make sure the cheese is on the side. Mine came drenched in cheese, just one big lump of soggy mess. Wasn’t good, and couldn’t eat it. Delivery was quick, food came hot. Well worth the burgers for the price. Good value.

Just ordered for delivery and I have to say I wasn’t expecting much for takeout at 1am. I was pleasantly surprised! The sandwiches I got were tasty, fresh, and the presentation was adorable. Love the small size for a late night snack. The fries were okay, nothing special, but my boyfriend was very happy with the dessert sampler. In all I would order again.

Only been here once, so my review is based off of only one order.
A friend and I stopped in for lunch one quiet Saturday afternoon. We each ordered wraps.
We got our food rather quickly. We decided to sit out doors, the weather was still nice. The place is rather small, being a small west end place, but because it was early and there weren’t too many people it was rather comfortable.
I ordered a chicken and swiss wrap which was really good. The chicken was tender, and the cheese added the perfect amount of flavor. The wrap was plentiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only disappointment was the prices of the menu items. My wrap was near $ 10, no sides, no fries. And the water was in a bottle. I’m not so hung up on the prices, but i prefer my beverages in a cup, than a bottle. Especially when I’m sitting in the establishment. What was nice, my guest and I stayed quite a long time, we weren’t bothered. I’m not too sure how willing I’d be to go back. I’m sure I will, but I’m not rushing to go back, this just isn’t my kind of spot. For a quick meal, burgers, wraps etc, this place is there.
