Deliciously fresh baked scones. This is their specialty so they are good! The tri berry scone is amazing. All they need to sell are some curds to put on them :) Try this local small business!

Sconeage is my go to stop for road trip snacks when heading out of LBC. I wish they were closer or had a shop downtown… think about it, please! I love their scones, especially tri berry. My son in law on Austria loves when I ship their granola to him. Great family owned place with easy parking.

A co-worker brought in a couple of boxes of scones. I grabbed the tri-berry and it blew my mind! Amazing.

Service is lacking, in a big way… Everyone who comments on the apathetical approach of the counter girl are spot on. Me: Do you have any triple berry left? Her: No, we’re all out. We only have day old in the back. Well, thanks for that extra info. Are they for sale? No. But they’re back there. I find it a little ironic that the place is billed as a coffee shop and bakery, when coffee is such a non-player in their offerings. 1 self serve squirt thermos on the counter does not a coffee shop make. As for the scones? Meh. I had the cranberry something or other, and it was ok. I was a bit put off by what I think was their vaunted granola in the mix of the scone. I don’t want oats in my scone… thanks. Still, I ate the whole thing, and kept it down, so it couldn’t be bad.

Seriously these scones are amazing. Especially the chocolate walnut. Crispy outside and soft inside. I wish they would open a little earlier in the weekend for when you want to pick up a delicious scone early in the morning.

Whenever I think of scones, I imagine them shaped in a triangle and pretty dry. Here, they’re nothing like that. They are shaped like patties and pretty moist on the inside. I’ve always struggled to make it here because they are only open till noon. I recently got to try their chocolate chip walnut and pumpkin white chocolate scones. So yummy, thumbs up for both of them. I appreciated that their pumpkin wasn’t a spiced one. If they made a pumpkin chocolate chip, that would be the best of both worlds. The two scones plus a small coffee came up to $ 7. Stamp card available.

Delicious Scones! The place smelled amazing when I went in from the fresh granola bars they were baking at the time! Five Stars to the scones, four stars was for the shop itself, and wish they had a few other options in baked goods.

I am so addicted to the granola. I was offered a sample at the LB Marina Farmer’s Market a few months ago and that was it. Hooked! I was never much of a granola eater — but I am now! Sprinkled on top of fresh fruit — amazing. Of just a handful as a snack. French owner is super friendly and nice. I buy this granola regularly now — it’s an essential kitchen staple.

A favorite spot of mine to stop on the way into work. I’ve been buying their cookies and granola for years at the farmer’s markets they service. Their scones aren’t traditional scones, which might cause some people judge them more harshly, but in my opinion they’re great. Chocolate walnut is my go-to. The fruit filled ones are great for those who want something akin to a breakfast pie. The coffee is okay, I personally like a dark roast and they only have a single option which is medium roast. The store itself isn’t set up for dining in, which is never my intention, so it’s not something I see as a problem(though others might feel differently).

**THISREVIEWISONLYFORTHEGRANOLASOLDATTHEFARMER’S MARKET, NOTTHESHOP! I buy the Natural Granola at the Pasadena Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. This is the best granola I have ever eaten. In fact, it has ruined me from even trying any other granola… Although I have tried to give some others a chance, but nothing compares. I have even given the granola away as gifts and everyone has loved it! I have not tried the scones but I have had the peanut butter and the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Both were delicious! As for customer service at the Farmer’s market, the owner has always been pleasant and friendly. Once there was a girl working w him and I think it might be that cell phone girl. She was texting on her phone and inattentive. She was also struggling to make change. The owner and I had to help her out because she had given me too much $$ back… Too bad if she is the one manning the store. But try the granola, it’s the best!

Baked goods are a rare treat for me because I love them a little bit too much. So when I am dealing with a craving, I want to be über satisfied, because it might be weeks before I give myself approval for another treat. I didn’t know what I wanted for breakfast this morning and my initial thought was to go to Subway, but when I parked I noticed that The Sconeage Bakery was open so I decided to give that a try instead. OMG, so glad I did! I ordered the blackberry scone and coffee and I do believe that was the best dang scone I’ve ever had! The coffee had a good taste but was lukewarm, but the scone was so good, I didn’t really care(I only ordered the coffee because I believe in supporting small business anyway). I’ve never had a scone stuffed with fruit before, and it was a great surprise because you can’t tell that it is by looking at the outside. The outside of this scone was crunchy, with just the right texture. When I broke it open, I was stuffed with blackberries and tender inside. What a treat! I heated it up when I got to work and it was so good, I didn’t even want one of the donuts that were so plentifully available in our office’s kitchen. Score! I will definitely go back and try other flavors. Strawberry peach is next on my hit list…

Come for the scones and organic granola! All natural ingredients and not overly sweet. Best scone I have ever had.

It’s more of a buy your scone to take home & eat with your own tea and ambiance. Scone itself 4 stars! Tri berry and strawberry peach scones stuffed w fruit like a «pie.» Apricot walnut would be delicious w pecans. I had their coffee squirted from a carafe. Luke warm into a paper cup. Tables(there’s two that can seat 2 each) adequate for a quick bite during a cycling fondo. Almost missed this place because it’s small. Your bike may or may not be safe outside. We didn’t bring a lock so we were vigilant. No utensils, no plates, no butter or jam, no tea, no fresh coffee made for you as you ordered, no bathrooms, no water(«we get it from the tap.») So buy your scone and take it home! Buy 10 and get 1 free says the regular customer rewards stamp card! Scones good — worth a try if in the area.

Everytime I’m in the area this place is closed. Thought about it this morning and NOW I want more! Had the chocolate chip and walnut scones and it was DELICIOUS! I wish they were open now cause I’d have a scone for dinner.

I usually write reviews to help out a business that I like. But in this case the owner is a douche, and cell-phone girl really shouldn’t be there. So, instead, I am writing this to help the wonderful community that is Unilocal.More specifically, this review is being written because it is just too hard these days to find a decent scone. These scones are awesome, you need to know about them if you are a scone connoisseur. The scones are totally rocking. You should come here for the scones. You can’t go wrong with these delicious scones. Also, they have really good scones. SCONES! —- @Christianne K. Cell-phone girl actually said hi to you… consider yourself lucky.

Truth be told, I haven’t step afoot in this place. Hell, I haven’t even sampled their homemade granola that everyone seems to rave about. I will tell you that I’ve had their scones on two different occasions now. I’d also like to state that I have never been a scones fan. People tried to convince me that they are the new hype, so much that it has been featured on Starbucks’ menu for some time now. Still, like an unmovable object I stood my ground. That was until my associate, Antonio Papa Lou Gambino decided to bring some to work. His offerings were these delightful scones that came piping out of the oven. I almost felt like he was bribing me in exchange to go leave a dead horse’s head in a poor soul’s bed. These scones are heavenly. Hard and crunchy on the outside, yet über warm and soft on the inside. The bakers have perfected the bake time and temperature. The triple berry was oozing out the minute I sawed right into the scone. Be prepared to make a Dexter inspired mess. I was told they also have it in chocolate but for now I’ll stick with the antioxidant flavors. I plowed through a scone and I instantly knew that I was going to crave it again in the near future. Luckily, Lou came through again recently and hooked it up the second time around. I’m really worried that he wants me to go put a hit on a rival in exchange for these divine scones. One scone should keep your appetite at bay for some time. I can’t fathom a meal after pulverizing through one. Kudos to you and your gut if you’re still hungry after that Sconeage scone. It’s a perfect pairing with some hot coffee. Heed my warning: if you get a scone, conquer it right away because its best fresh. Don’t let the goombas extort it from you.

Great scones… seriously! They got their scones on lockdown. The fruit in the middle is scrumptious! I wish they would add more coffee drinks, though. They call themselves a coffee house(as advertised on the sign outside the building), but their only coffee option is the regular roast in the self service coffee container. I did end up getting a cup of the regular roast, as I needed some caffeine before hitting up the antique flea market. It was a tasty regular roast, but I was more in the mood for a latte, mocha or espresso drink. If they added these drinks, this place would easily be 5 stars and get more business. I loved their blue mosaic tables and the young gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and nice.
