Have drove by this place countless of times without paying much attention. I’m on a quest to try every single donut shop in LBC so I decided to stop here for a quick pre-workout bite on a Monday morning. Donut selection was pretty good. They have your typical cake donuts, bear claw, buttermilk, etc… On this visit I decided to try the buttermilk since it’s my current go-to donut, but didn’t really hit the spot. Personally it was kinda dry which was surprising since I went really early and I expected fresher donuts to be available. They are open 24⁄7 which is nice, but in all honestly this place looks so shady when it gets dark. I’ll comeback and give them another try soon.

I’ve only stopped there late night, like around 2−3am. The guy working wasn’t that personable but no one’s probably very happy working the graveyard shift. There’s a kind of drive-thru but you have to get out of your car to order. Great quality though! I’ve had the apple fritter, glazed old fashioned and glazed buttermilk bar. Good every time.

Super fresh donuts. Great variety. Open 24÷7÷365. Drive-up window! Seriously? Seriously. What’s not to love about Bartha’s Donuts? The draw-back: cash only. Oh well. Hit the ATM or raid your change jar before heading to Bartha’s! Final verdict: I’ve been coming here too long to stop now. Bartha’s for the win! Will most definitely be driving up to satisfy my apple fritter craving again soon. Very soon.

Fresh, fresh, fresh! Some of the best no-nonsense donuts, as well as friendly and personable customer service. Fuurthermore, it’s very close(perhaps a bit too close) to home. With the abundance of small donut shops around, Bartha’s is a tasty, fresh and reasonable discovery; definitely a leader of the pack for a fried carb fix.

Awesome Doughnuts and open 24/7…also, they carry the Zero Carb Monster drinks I so crave(instead of coffee) sometimes. :)

This place is the epitome of a hole in the wall donut shop. The service is great and the donuts are always fresh. This is my first stop every morning at 4AM on the way to work!

Great at 11:30PM when everything else is closed… They have a drive through and you can sit inside as well. I had a donut and cookies n’ cream shake. The girl behind the counter moves really fast and is friendly, I hope to one day to meet Bartha.

Hands down the best maple old fashioned in long beach. Not too sweet and boy are they fresh! I go out of my way to come here because my local place is just not up to par(thanks a lot broadway doughnuts). Don’t be detoured by the shabby appearance, the doughnuts are really good

Heads up… CASHONLY. The donuts are excellent and they do have good coffee. Don’t pass it up if you’re in search of some great donuts.

I love Korean\ Asian Donuts. I love Barthas Donuts since i remember them being in a hut in Hawaiian gardens then moved into a building by the 99Cent store. Then i moved to long beach and found Bartha’s donuts. same owner. same recipe and his kids grew up too.

The perfect place to satisfy that middle-of-the-night Ham & Jalapeño Croissant craving. If you don’t get those cravings, then you need to try one here! They will haunt you at night. Sooo good. Open 24 hours with a little drive up window, perfect height to cruise your bike on up to. As others have mentioned, Cash only… And if you are using a credit card to pay for a donut… C’mon now!

one of the saddest days of my life was when i moved away from the intersection of ximeno and anaheim. i had it all: a great apartment(which was only a short stumbling distance from iguana kelleys), a tommy’s burger that was open late(conveniently located right across from iguana kelleys), and a 24-hr donut shop(for after the bar when i was ready to make those bad eating decisions that i regret in the morning). while every other donut shop seems to be upping the prices on donuts, barthas is still really reasonably priced! on top of that everyone whos ever helped me there has been really nice. the guy who works late at night is the best! now i wont say that these are the best donuts ive ever had, but they are delicious and they certainly hit the spot late at night. Also, theres something about their ghetto drive through that i find thoroughly charming. thank you barthas for helping to enable my bad eating choices late at night :)

Reliable and cheap donut shop open 24 hours. I do wish they’d be a bit more generous with the chocolate frosting on your average twist or chocolate bar but I guess there is a reason they are the cheapest donuts around.

I want so badly to love Bartha’s, due mostly to the fact that it has that hilarious excuse for a drive through. But I don’t. I just don’t. The doughnuts aren’t anything special and the fact that they refuse to warm them really infuriates me. WHY? When I ask the girl she says«because then we’d always have to do it.» What does that mean? They will warm croissants, but not doughnuts. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Get me over to Day and Night Donuts on 7th. They’re 24 hour too, and they’ll warm up anything you like. And they have boba. Other than being cheap, there’s really nothing that makes me need to take the trip over to Bartha’s. But it’s not bad, so if you’re in the area or for some reason need a doughnut and are unable to get out of your car, it’s a okay choice.

Quick, Easy, Cash only and always open. The Doug-nuts are good but the Ham & Cheese Croissants, Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Jalapeños Croissants are the hands down winner here.($ 2.25) in case you were wondering. Defiantly a place to stop in grab a croissant and a drink, and go on your way.

Bartha’s is awesome. I live right down the street and I love being able to walk over a grab a delicious donut. I never spend more than a couple bucks there, which is great. One late night, I went there with a friend to get a dozen and the guy gave us well over that, along with cinnamon rolls and bear claws, all for $ 6! I love Bartha, whoever she is

these donuts are fine. nothing spectacular, but better than bad. the best thing is that it is open 24 hours. and it is better than the other 24 hour place i know of(dr. yi’s). the donuts are also 50c here, so $ 1 gets you 2. beautiful.
