The food here is amazing and the service is probably the best out of all the places that I’ve been to. I love the Lobster Bisque Soup it always tastes great.

Food has no taste and over price for an Italian restaurant should be better. The chicken was pale and was probably cook too fast.

The wait for a Saturday is to be expected long but we always walk out with a smile on our faces. Family date nights are our favorite here. Our favorite to order is their wine and beer and also go just for their amazing cheese pizza and meatballs.

One of the best restaurants in Belmont Shore! The food is precisely what you want in a comfort food type of place. The staff is courteous and attentive, and the owner is frequently there adding a nice homey atmosphere

Came in on a whim and best choice. Staff is sweet and approachable. The food was delicious and lunch special was even better! Must try their chicken pesto sandwich! My bf had one of their pastas and it’s was to die for! Definitely saving as one of my favorites.

The food and service(waitress Jaime was very sweet) was amazing, I ordered the most delicious spaghetti and meat sauce. We met the owner who explained the history of all the lovely family photos in the restaurant. Happy hour… Sauvignon Blanc was my wine of choice and I was pleasantly pleased. There is nothing like a family owned restaurant that makes their customers feel loved and put heart in their cooking. Great overall experience and I would def go again when I’m in town.

Recently, I went in for lunch with a friend after the busy hours. He ordered soup and salad. I ordered the Chicken Mediterranean for a change of pace. My salad was fresh and delicious. My friends soup and salad were both good. The chicken was good and very large. I enjoyed the veggies on it as much as the chicken. The staff was polite and asked if we needed anything else. A charming place with bright sunny windows to 2nd street. I will be back!

One of the most authentic tasting Italian joints this foodie has tasted. Their Arrabbiata sauce is a secret recipe of delishness beyond words. Oh, the service is also spot on! Nice ambiance and friendly astonishment with good food– I’d say that’s a win win!

My family and I came in Easter Sunday around lunch time. Our server, Chris, was amazing and kind and helpful and attentive. Our food came out very timely and exactly as we ordered it. Chris even came to ask how my particular meal was, because I’m vegan and the chef wanted to make sure my meal was good without the dairy. I love that the chef cared enough to ask. La Strada never seems to disappoint. The servers are always so kind and attentive. We usually get Kelley as our server and my husband and I just love her, but Chris certainly didn’t disappoint. Give the place a try if you haven’t. Good food, good prices and amazing service! Oh, and the bread is to die for!

How you people give this place 4 stars is beyond me. I’m already exhausted thinking about what I am about to write. Let’s do this in an outline format. Shall we? 1. Service lacks any real attention at brunch on a Sunday. Front of the house hostess, not very accommodating nor engaging.(This was an Easter Sunday mind you) 2. Our Server, Chris, seemed to be much more about his business and quite friendly, so let’s not say anything negative aside from him being distracted enough to spill a good amount of water on our table and never wipe it off. 3. My favorite. When hostess asks if we need any more beverages, we reply with a «not now, but we can sure use a wipe down of this wet table.» She responds by tossing a napkin on the table and saying«here ya’ go». When we looked at her as if she just made the mistake large enough to garner this review, she sorta’ wiped it down, leaving half the table still wet. 4. Food was flavorless and lacked any love nor authenticity. Basically the most«Meh» Italian meal and service experience in a long time. 5. This is beyond their control, but the restrooms are located passed their kitchen and service area. I’ve never liked that anywhere. Unisex and just one, mind you. I’ve not written in a while and wasn’t planning on it unless it was worth it. So, there you are Unilocalsters. Dine at your own peril.

Always past it but on this day we stopped and wanted to try something new. So glad we did, the Lobster bisque is to die for and anything with that Lobster sauce it the bomb. My Husband had the Lasagna and by far rated it #1 on his list. We definitely will go back. The server was very nice. thanks La strada

The chicken fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite! Best Italian in long beach. Yummy bread, pizza, and salads. Great ambience and friendly staff! La Strada

Been coming in for the rare Italian dinner out for the last six or seven years. I had an Italian grandfather and we were raised to never eat in a restaurant when we could get better at home. That being said La Strada’s food compares to my home made. All my experiences at La Strada have been excellent in Everyway. Would highly recommend. We love it.

What happened to the old Café La Strada? Everything we ordered was over cooked! The red sauce was burned and pasta was over done. The owner, I don’t know what she was wearing but that’s all I’m going to say and she’s running around all drunk! The sever was nice and helpful. I gave it 2 stars because of the location, friendly server, and the bread was soft & warm. The owner should take a look at the kitchen and how the food is coming out. The menu they had back in the day had a better variety and higher quality of food. The sauce for there pasta use to be SO delicious with lots of flavor and a smooth taste with a hint of cream! Very disappointed! The large poster of the owner is tacky too! The last few times I’ve eaten here has not been very good and it’s getting worse. Good bye Café La Strada! Many memorable memories! 1999 – 2015

The first time I visited this place I had the spinach Ravioli Prom… It was amazing the pasta was tender the cheese was rich and melted, the tomato sauce was great with chunks of veggies and lotta of spinach as a bed. I dreamed of if later so came for seconds weeks later. The second time I had it unfortunately it wasn’t as magical the pasta was a little hard not to mention our food took forever. About an hour. This place is a cute Italian spot on second with a few tables outside(3) if you wanna bring you dog. The bathroom is in the kitchen which is kinda awkward. But I’ll come back and try something new here. And update

Your average Italian-American neighborhood joint. Came here for dinner and ordered the garlic bread and the gnocchi, and both were a bit bland. The bread had a ton of garlic on it along with some melted cheese. The gnocchi were in a brown butter sauce with an olive oil flavor; it was nice, but the texture of the gnocchi seemed off. Other people at my table enjoyed their meaty pasta dishes. Service was friendly, though we did wait a while for our meals, even through the restaurant was fairly empty.

Well, luck was on our side. As my wife and I drove down Belmont Shores in Long Beach, we were disappointed to see that all of the trendy restaurants were completely full, with lines outside. We stumbled upon an empty Italian restaurant, La Strada. Boy did we luck out. The food was absolutely amazing! I had their signature dish, the Salmon alla Sorrentina. yUM! Extremely flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Spinach Ravioli Pomodoro and it was the best ravioli she’s ever had. Very fresh and flavorful. Very light, but filling at the same time. And the price point was extremely reasonable. My Salmon dish was only $ 19 and my wife’s ravioli was only $ 14. The food was so delicious, I ordered the Chicken Lasagna to go. And to finish it all off, we had two fantastic dessert dishes as well. If you love great tasting food, filled with flavor, that won’t break the bank, La Strada is the place to go. Is highly recommend it and the view is the icing on the cake! By the way, the service was fantastic as well.

Pretty good lunch menu with plenty of options to choose from. Came in with my friend Toya and we decided on the eggplant rollatini and cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer. We also got complementary bread that came with a side of butter, olive oil, and balsamic vinaigrette. For main courses we shared chicken lasagna and the spinach and ricotta stuffed ravioli. Appetizers **CHEESYGARLICBREAD– let me start off by saying, «OHMYGOODNESS!» it comes out piping hot and crispy bread topped with melting cheese and a nice layer of toasted garlic Mmm Mmm good. **EGGPLANTROLLATINI– not normally a fan of eggplant but this I can do. 4 pieces of eggplant slices rolled with mozzarella, basil, and spices and baked with marinara sauce. Main Dishes **CHICKENLASAGNA– never even thought of this combination really, I’ve had the traditional, and even had ground turkey, but never chicken. The Lasagna itself is packed with shredded chicken and can be overwhelming especially after eating both appetizers and the complementary bread and butter. Didn’t put a dent in this dish but it was pretty good the next morning when I heated it up for lunch. **SPINACHANDRICOTTASTUFFEDRAVIOLI– 4 relatively large raviolis packed with spinach and ricotta smothered in marinara sauce. The spinach made the dish sort of watery but didn’t make a big difference in the overall taste of the dish. Service was attentive and very patient especially since it took us 20 + minutes to decide what we wanted to eat. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of tables to accommodate customers and wasn’t busy at all during lunch hours. There is a Happy Hour available starts at 3pm during weekdays. Overall a pretty decent experience. I would probably come here again but only for lunch specials. I couldn’t say this would be my first choice in italian restaurants when paying full price though.
