Upon arriving to this location I did notice that the interior design is very well set up & super clean. The staff is very friendly and professional with a welcoming smile too. There Is plenty of seating and a fully stocked salsa bar with fresh ingredients that make your mouth water while they sit on top of the table with you as your waiting for ur food. I did order the shrimp burrito which was very delicious and tasted fresh. My partner also ordered the carne asada platter which had a good amount of carne asada rice and beans & avocado on the side. All in all this place was great the food was great I will be coming back again thank you guys.

This casual place is the best kept secret in Belmont Shore for Mexican food. Top quality, fresh ingredients, delicious food, fast service, and no wait! The only thing missing are the margaritas, but at least they have beer. My husband and friends drive miles for their grilled mahi-mahi tacos and burritos and I love their incredibly moist chicken breast meat. If you like salads, get the Unwrapped Burrito which has lettuce, fresh corn, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, guac, etc. and huge chunks of chicken breast(or whatever meat you want.) Get the Champaign Dressing and then top the salad with some of the marinated onions from the salsa bar and you’ll be a very happy diner. I have to apologize to the owners for not rating your restaurant sooner, but we were so worried the Belmont Shore location would have long lines like your Santa Ana restaurant that we held off with our rating. It turns out one of the of great things about the shore location is it’s large size. No lines and easy parking in the public lot in the rear. Thanks for opening a location in Long Beach!

The rice is good. You can taste the butter. However given the high reviews, I felt the fish tacos were underwhelming in taste. The grilled one was okay. I liked the amount of fish though. Blackened fish taco had interesting spice flavor. Didn’t like it but definitely unique. Beans were good and portion size is good. Friendly service and the condiments like their salsa taste fresher than what you’ll get at chipotle.

I can’t believe I’ve driven by this place so many times and never tried it. We ordered the chicken burrito and steak burrito. Both were excellent Very fresh ingredients and a lot of meat. The place is clean and service was good Highly recommended

I ordered the unwrapped burrito with beer battered fish. It was a decent salad, but I didn’t enjoy the thinness of the fish very much. It would be better if it was thicker so it could be flaky. It was so thin that all you taste is the batter. For 10 bucks, I don’t think I would be returning.

The shrimp burrito here is probably the best sub-$ 15 shrimp burrito in the world. Why should you trust me in this area beyond my general gastronomic expertise? I’ve lived in Northern, Southern, and Baja California, and have enjoyed at least fifty different shrimp burritos in the last five years. Why is this burrito so delicious? The quality of the shrimp for the price is really the key here. That, coupled with the perfect temperature, quantity of shrimp, cabbage(texture), and Baja sauce. Please order it with refried beans, extra Baja sauce, and add jack cheese for a truly luxurious experience. Don’t order a salad. Xoxo

I love Baja Fish Tacos! Now that I think of it though… I don’t know if I’ve ever had a fish taco of theirs! I’ve been to the Costa Mesa location(or is it Santa Ana?). This was my first time here. Anyway, came here during an early lunch hour and it wasn’t overly busy. That’s good for someone like me who doesn’t like to wait when I’m hungry! I usually get a fish plate combo but this time, I decided to try their Baja bowl. I originally wanted a combo of all steak, shrimp and chicken but the cashier told me I can only get up to two… so shrimp and chicken it was! Both the chicken and shrimp were good. The chicken was moist and the shrimp was flavorful. However after really enjoying the shrimp, the chicken felt not as exciting. I love their rice! They must cook it in broth or something because it’s so good! I usually like to squeeze a bunch of likes and sprinkle cilantro on it. Yummy! I’ll be back here!

I may have just had the best fish burrito in many many years. Blackened fish, lots of guac, creamy pinto beans, spicy and flavorful. The tortilla was grilled cross and tender.(If you only eat steamed Nor Cal style burritos, you are missing out on the full flavor and texture of a fully cooked tortilla.) The portion was generous and the salsa bar ample. I’ll definitely be back.

Very delicious and flavorful, prices are a lil more expensive than some spots, but the quality is there. The beans are amazing too. Very friendly and helpful staff too. We love fish tacos, and here you can get them a few different ways…

This place is extremely over hyped and not worth the visit for the fish taco lovers alike. I was born and raised in San Diego and have been to the first Rubio’s and all the other spots along the coast from a Chula Vista to Oceanside. I know my tacos, and I like my tacos. This place should be taken to court, tacos are extremely over priced for the portions of meat and toppings given. The word fresh is not even synonymous with the interior and exterior décor. The lack of character and finesse in the entire eating space outside and in, says it all — bland. Just like the rice and beans. Beans are from a can. Rice was over cooked. Want a side of chips? Fork over some more bucks on an already $ 15 lunch for two small tacos. Not worth it. Don’t follow the hype. Do your taco carvings justice.

Tried here for the first time today. I got the steak burrito since I’m a chipotle fan. The steak here is WAY better, so much flavor and juicy. I don’t like tomatoes or guac so I added sour cream instead. I also had this green hot sauce on the side which I think made up for the missing flavors! Def good, $ 10 burrito. I mayyyy try the shrimp plate next time. Food came out fast as well!

Love this place! I crave their shrimp tacos on the regular! Their one taco plate is the perfect amount of food for me. When I get the two taco plate I just leave feeling way too stuffed! I used to frequent the Santa Ana location often, and I was so excited to have a Baja in long beach when I moved here! Idk why this location is not as crowded as the other ones? It’s great. Super clean, great food at great prices. Also, very friendly and fast service :)

I have to say, from the moment I started reading reviews about this place(when deciding where to eat) to the moment we said goodbye to a fellow patron and his furry pooch, the experience was all around 5STARS! The place is stellar in cleanliness, space, and an inviting feeling, along with very professional &FRIENDLY staff(take note Leo’s Mexican Grill)! The outside patio area is perfectly outfitted so that there’s plenty of space for your furry family member to feel safe and secure, yet not overbearing or crowded. There are plenty of salsas to choose from along with fresh vegetables for garnishing your VERYFRESH plate of food. :) I had the Carne Asada plate w/lemonade and my girlfriend had the Carne Asada burrito w/an iced tea. Honestly it was all so deliciously filling, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to stand up straight to walk! Thankfully I conquered the #fatgurl in me and graciously made it down the block for some hot tea. :) Soooo, with all that being said, I absolutely recommend Baja Fish Taco 100%!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!! Salút! :D P. S. Gizmo says Woof!(Totally true)

Been coming here for the past year or so on and off and it is pretty much like any other Baja fish tacos place but a bit bigger and more roomy. Seating is available both inside and outside and is plentiful every time I’ve visited. Order, Pay, and then get your food type joint with many items to choose from. They have a salsa bar on the side with different hot sauces, pickled onions, cilantro, lemons, etc I often get the BLACKENFISHSALAD, GUACAMOLE, and SHRIMPTACO. BLACKENFISHSALAD comes with Romaine Lettuce, Cucumber, Radish, Red Onions, Corn, Cheese, Tomato, Guacamole with Dressing on the Side. 4 ½ stars***** GUACAMOLE– so creamy and fresh. They give you a good helping and it comes paired with chips. 4 ½ stars*** SHRIMPTACO– Sautéed Shrimp Cooked in Garlic Butter & White Wine, Served with Cabbage Relish, Baja Sauce, Cotija Cheese on a Flour Tortilla. So flavorful and one of the better shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely worth eating. 4 ½ stars*** If I’m in the mood for a fish salad, guacamole, and or shrimp taco, and I’m in the area, I’ll be stopping by.

I love Baja Fish tacos, they have some of the best quality fish around! Service is great, the store clean and well kept. The salads and bowls are tasty, my husband loves the shrimp and carne asada. Tacos are skimpy, the burritos, bowls and salads are a much better value. Well stocked, fresh and tasty salsa bar, great place to have a light and healthy lunch in the area.

My friend and I were walking down 2nd St. on a weekend afternoon and suddenly got the munchies. We actually were craving Baja Fresh and had thought that this was a Baja Fresh. When we arrived at Baja Fish, we were initially a little disappointed that it actually wasn’t a Baja Fresh. However, we were pleasantly surprised. I got an open burrito, which was more like a taco salad. This open burrito knocks the socks off of Chipotle’s burrito bowl. It was MASSIVE. There were a lot of greens(SOMUCHFIBER) and a generous amount of carne asada. The salad also comes with corn, cucumber, tomatoes, and cheese. The steak was very tender and delicious. The dressing was some sort of Italian, which seemed out of place. But I actually didn’t eat any of the dressing because it wasn’t necessary. The other components of the salad were sufficient. It was only about $ 8 too! Baja Fish is in a great location — right in the heart of 2nd Street of Belmont Shore. The service was good. It’s an order at the register and then wait for your food to be brought out to your table. Food came out fast, which was great. The restaurant has a large area, which I think could be used for many more tables.
