So, I’ve been here twice. Both times, the staff are extremely impatient and impolite. They seem annoyed helping customers figure out their choices for toppings and bark at the customers. Tonight was just strange. I eat at the food court with my little one often. At the fast food places I visit, I generally order a child’s meal so that I can keep my portions small. I ordered two kid’s meals tonight. When I went to pay, I reminded the cashier that the kid’s meals come with chips. He did some song and dance and acted like he was doing me a favor by giving me the chips THAT I PAIDFOR. Then, he said, «12 and UNDER, but I’ll let you have them this time!» I was sort of stunned. I didn’t see the sign that read 12 and under and after walking away, I realized what had happened. I am wondering why he didn’t just tell me to begin with that they would not serve me a kid’s meal??? Instead, he waited until the time to pay and then tried to withhold the chips THAT I PAIDFOR. I won’t ever eat here again, EVER, but if you’re wanting to go here and get a small portion, consider just sharing(which, by the way, is cheaper than buying two kids meals and is probably more food) or head over to Chick-fil-A where the chicken is WAY better and they will NEVER hassle you for getting a kid’s meal or something off the a-la-carte menu. Of course, if you eat at SAJ and try to split a meal, they will probably try to charge you a split-plate fee. Aside from the weird and rude service, the food was pretty good, but not good enough to override the impolite service.

I was here for lunch while waiting on Stacey to get back from the airport and the food was pretty good. The service was a bit lacking, but it was Sunday and who wants to work on a Sunday. However, I would return if in the mall and you should stop by if you are looking for a light lunch.
Wow. Unbelievable quality for inside of the Park Meadows Mall. Hummus and the meat were very high quality. I highly suggest the chicken/steak plate with side options. Delicious!

The meat was tender and tasty. All the sides were flavorful, yet not too spicy. This restaurant is extremely clean and well run. The man carving the fat off the meat took more time and expertise to do this job than most expensive, fancy, gourmet restaurants. Pleasant music was playing in the background and the whole experience was great!

I asked for the lamb gyro but believe I received beef because it was cubed… It was good! I would go back, thank you!!! :)

Slow inexperienced service; «what do you want on your Greek salad?» Seriously? Falafel balls were tasty.

Not authentic but still good flavor. The gyro panini came with cheese? I prefer grabanzo grill. I left unsatisfied

This place is not an authentic Mediterranean place. Yes they have«shawarma» but not what we are accustomed to. A bit pricey for a smaller ala cart style place. Not impressed!

Maybe I didn’t order right or it was an off day but my lunch was not good. The bread was part burnt, part tough and mostly dry. The sauces were not flavorful at all and the falafels were dry and over cook. The only good thing on my plate was plain lettuce and the spicy hummus. I was super excited about this place. Unfortunately it fell flat for me.

Um, wow! The last time I ate in a food court was like 6 years ago and only because my friend was too cheap to buy me lunch anywhere else. And I was too polite to protest. Anyway, if you go to the mall like once a year or less(like me), you should even so go to Park Meadows Mall just so you can eat at Saj. It is excellent for mall food, and I think you will not be disappointed.

I would no doubt give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for a certain employee watching me come up to the doors at 10:40 thinking it was already openned then waiting in my car for 20 minutes for 11:00 to come around and be told, «we open in 4 minutes.» I was followed in by the what seemed to be owner and was welcomed inside at 11:01. Beside that, the food is AMAZING! My wife and I are usuals at other mediteranean spots, and this one TAKESTHECAKE! I would HIGHLY recommend this spot to others and I am happy with the service other than that. Hope everyone stops by and enjoys a good plate of food in a great enviornment! Oh, and after sitting in here writing this review smelling this food I can’t help but give it a 5-Star! Great spot.

If you like Mediterranean food — this is a wonderful,(relatively) inexpensive place to eat. Kebob platter is the best deal and could be shared by two people. By Mediterranean I mean, meat kebobs, hummus, baba ghanoush, rice, etc. I’ve had both the Saj platter and the kebob platter. Saj platter was a decent value for ~$ 9. The kebob platter which was more expensive, gave you a TON of food: — Lamb, chicken and beef kebob — I liked the lamb the best as it was more of a ground lamb meat ‘sausage’(i.e., without a casing). Chicken was good, too, but beef wasn’t as flavorful — Only two sides: spicy hummus(which wasn’t too spicy for me at all) and baba ghanoush. I could have gotten four sides, so they gave me a TON of the two — as much as one would get in a small container at the grocery store Downsides(which is why I gave a 4-star rating): — The kebob plate was a little oily since the kebobs were put on top of the ‘spreads’ — Breads(Saj bread OR pita) were not made fresh but were passable — Menu is a little difficult to understand(i.e., «what am I getting with that combo?») I’ve been here twice, and I really enjoy it and will go back. Keep it up Saj(I’ll be back for more)!!!

I had the Beef Shawarma Plate with 4 sides(hummus, tabouli, spicy potatoes and fatoush). I normally don’t get hummus but theirs tasted great. My meal also came with either pita bread or white/wheat Saj bread. I chose the Saj white bread which was also good. The beef was well seasoned and I had a side of tsatziki sauce. I would definitely visit this place again and try their kabob plate.

Great mall food. The houmous is good. The bread they make is great and when you fill it with falafals or shwarma, sauces, veggies, pickles, and jalapeños well that is a wrap. They are opening their third place this Frisay on Iliff and Havana. I am happy they are doing so well. The owner is really a nice guy.

Ok, let me start this by saying that I RARELY give out 5 stars. It is a very big deal to me! It should be to you too so don’t judge me! I have had garbanzos… meh…I’ve had a number of similar places and everyone fails to compare to SAJ! This place is consistently nice, fun staff, clean, accommodating, and F’ing DELICIOUS! Everytime my girlfriend makes me go to the mall with her, it comes at a price! Not that kind of price! Get your mind out of the gutter! I make her go to SAJ with me! Even if she doesn’t feel like it, she still goes and LOVE’s every second of it… Ok now you can go there :)

I’ve been a bit nostalgic for the food I ate in Israel. Specifically, the street-food, market-inspired flavors that I ate most of the time. The morning before I ate at Saj, my breakfast involved tomatoes and bell peppers with feta cheese and a horrible attempt at Zhatar, just to curb my Israeli craving. I was surprised to see Saj in the Park Meadows food court. Do not let the very corporate look fool you– this is only the second location, period. Some here say the bread is «Fresh». It is in plastic bags, pre-packaged at this store, so maybe they make it at the other store? Hard to say. It was honestly better than most Israeli pita I had but I’m not sure exactly how fresh it was. For some reason, they heated the pita for the guy in front of me but not for me. I ordered the falafel pita(incorrectly labeled on their nutrition menu, fyi, it’s 70 kcals per falafel), with baba ganoush, fattoush, tomatoes, tzatziki, and«spicy» which seemed like chile paste. I also asked for zhatar, since it is on the menu and because I’m seriously jonesing for it lately. The employee couldn’t really understand me, so one of the managers asked what I wanted. I said I wanted zhatar and he asked«have you had it before?» I said yes and he went and got basically a mix of zhatar spices in oil, which isn’t how I’ve seen it lately. He asked«is this what you want?» and I paused and said«yes», to which he whispered something in Arabic to the employee who was helping me. This was the second time this had happened in my visit– when I declined a sample, the other manager whispered something to the same employee while they both stared at me. To say it was uncomfortable was an understatement.(Not because they were speaking in Arabic, mostly just because they were clearly speaking about me in front of me but were hiding it behind a foreign language they assumed I do not speak). Price is reasonable– $ 7 or so. I went to my table and was very happy with the flavors. The falafel here are much better than those at Garbanzo’s, but not anywhere on par with what I had in the middle east, not that I expected as such. The pita bread was very weak; I couldn’t pick my pita up because the filling instantly fell through the bottom of the pita, so I ate the filling out with a fork. Baba ganoush had a very smokey flavor, which was a bit much for me but everything was good. I would come back next time I’m around, but be prepared to be gossiped about, to your face. FYI– Nutritional info is available on their website. For such a small business, this is a very nice touch.

It was in the Park Meadows mall food court that I learned my grandmother was somehow not familiar with Mediterranean food. This had to be amended. We ordered a beef & chicken schwarma plate and chose fatoush, tabouli, hummus, and green beans as our sides. Of course we also had to order falafels. Everything was good. Sometimes I am wary of over-dry falafel or meats. But the meat was surprisingly flavorful for coming out of a food court. My grandmother, who has disliked tabouli in the past, quite enjoyed it this time, as did I(not too much parsley, and no cilantro, which I’ve heard people sometimes include). The guy working behind the counter was very helpful in explaining things and patient while we made up our minds. The food is healthy, tasty, and very fairly priced. I dig.
