Quick, inexpensive and vegan friendly lunch spot. It’s a flat price just under $ 10 no matter what you add to your plate. First, choose between salad, bowl, wrap or pita. Gluten-free pita available for an extra $ 1.99. Then you work your way down the assembly line, choosing hummus and/or baba ganoush. Next up, your choice of protein. Vegan options are roasted mushrooms or falafel. I added some rice and roasted veggies(mostly eggplant, potatoes and peppers). Finally, you choose a topping. Vegan options included tahini sauce, spicy red pepper or green herb dressing, olives etc. They toss it all up and voila! healthy lunch.

I really don’t like posting bad reviews, but ugh! I stopped in for lunch today after the normal rush. They weren’t super busy, but without someone right there at the line, it gave my friend and I a moment to decide what we wanted. The gal asked what she wanted, with options, and then was relieved for a break. The guy who relieved her started making my plate without asking me what I wanted(did I want a plate? did I want a pita bread? how about hummus?) Seriously — didn’t know you were telepathtic. Oh, and yes, yes(wheat), yes, spicy. Instead, I got the plate with two things wrong(and I didn’t even know it). Then he kept making my plate the same way as my friends and I had to correct him, so he just spilled out some veggie salad and looked annoyed.(DUDE — YOUDIDN“T ASKMEIF I WANTEDIT!) The next gal who I was handed off to asked if I wanted olives or pickles. I said pickles. She tried to give me olives — I corrected her.(I’m sorry, but you asked me and then didn’t listen) At the register, my friend was charged 8.25 for her meal and I was charged 9.00 for mine. We both had a steak plate, no extras, so tell me — why then — was I charged more? For an inaccurate order? When I brought it back to work, found out my pita and hummus was wrong. Yes — first world problems, but if you pay $ 9.00 for a meal and you supposedly get to choose what you want, wouldn’t you hope it was? I like Garbanzo, just not this one. Please teach your employees to listen to your customers, to ask them what THEY want, not what you telepathically want them to want, and to NOT overcharge people. Ugh.

I usually looooove Garbanzo but today’s visit was disappointing. I went right at the end of the lunch rush, the chicken was cold and hard. Also found a hair! They forgot the pita, which I guess doesn’t matter cause i wasn’t eating this crap anyway.

Mediterranean quick serve… a wonderful concept. My first instinct was to give them a lower rating as there were some availability issues… they weren’t prepared for the rush that they got. But, every restaurant gets unexpected rushes… and these guys handled it very well. They gave my wife and me free drinks while we waited on our food that took longer than it usually would. The mark of a good restaurant is not being mistake free… but handling mistakes and pressure well and making the guest feel like you care. Great job! As for the food… it was very good!

Decent lunch spot near our office in Denver. Basically mediterranean food, chipotle style! Options are bowls, salads, or pita bread style. Tips: +Very messy /watery — ex. the mushrooms(supposed to be a veggie option for the meat) have a ton of liquid when they serve them to your place, same with some of the salads. So make sure you eat this asap and don’t take it to the airport for a to-go lunch like I did(never again) +Get the spicy hummus and babaganoush — both are amazing! +You can sample ANYTHING on their menu, but if you are in line, they usually give everyone samples of the falafels which are reallyy hard to resist +Free warm pita bread with each order Will be back!

The greek salad with gyros meat and garlic sauce was great. Also the steak plate was amazing. The ordering process is very much like Chipotle. Pock your protein, plate or wrap, or salad, then various toppings and sides. Another great Denver place which needs to expand to Phoenix.

Been here during the workday lunch and they are pretty good at getting through orders quickly even when I always order two wraps. The pitas are fresh and the staff friendly. It seemed they went through some staff changes and new ones aren’t as fast or good at wrapping large orders but overall food still taste great! Garbanzo will continue to be in the lunch hour rotation.

I stopped in for the first time tonight and was very impressed. The pita’s are made in house and mine was baked right before my eyes, result best pita I’ve had. What a huge difference such a little detail makes. The falafel looked very tempting(and I think all 4 people ahead of me in line ordered it), but I was really craving Gyro. I was not disappointed. The best I’ve tried so far in Denver. All of the staff were very pleasant and the service was fast. The manager or owner even stopped by to ask how my meal was. Very uncommon in my experience at this type of restaurant. I’ll defiantly be coming back.

I visited this location for the first time and was not impressed; simply because I ordered portobellos on my pita and they were out. It took a good ten minutes for them to make a new batch and about a dozen people passed me in line while I waited. However, the man at the sauce station made sure that I got a fresh pita when the mushrooms were ready and asked me if there was anything I needed while I wait. He was very nice and understanding. To further my positive experience, the manager offered to buy my lunch to make up for the wait. They truly understand customer service at this location and have earned my loyalty. Keep up the good work!

Super yummy and super fast. Very fresh and tasty! Had a stuffed pita and it was very satisfying. Lunch gets crazy because of location but they kept up with line perfectly. Hardly any wait at all.

Not too overly crazy busy during work day lunch, score! They didn’t forget the falafel sample either. Generous portion sizes. I’m a fan of this location.

Food was great! A lot better than what I would’ve guessed for what is essentially fast food. Healthy, gluten free options. Prices are reasonable for a family of four on a budget. Our only real hang up was our server, Courtney was very rude to us. We explained this was our first visit and we have several food allergies that requires extra questions and time. That however did not phase her and she continued to become more impatient. Manager was very nice though and finished our order without issue. Also, Reggie, the other server was very helpful and answered any other request we had. We will come back again.

Fast, delicious food. This place is usually packed during the lunch hour. The employees are well trained and keep the line moving. The food is nutritious, delicious and priced right. The pita bread, falafel, gyros, steak and chicken are cooked right in front of you in the open kitchen. I like the fact that I can choose whole wheat pitas instead of the white pita. They have limited seating inside with a few tables on the patio outside as well. This place is totally value for money. They also have a rewards card which allows regulars to get free food :) Highly recommended.

I’ve only used these guys for catering a business meeting/lunch, but my guy that showed up was exactly what a business owner/proprietor should be. He called me to let me know that he was taking over for the closer Garbanzo’s I’d originally contacted online because they were swamped. Made sure it was okay(of course), and went over my order with me quickly and efficiently. He personally delivered it– and I could tell he was trying to earn my firm’s business, which I respect– set it up, gave me his card, and even called me back the next day to make sure it went smoothly. When I think of consummate customer service that’s genuine, this man comes to mind. If my firm is catering, I’m recommending this joint first and foremost. Just totally impressive, and not taken for granted.

I’d probably rate this higher except the layout of this place is terrible. It is extremely cramped and you’re always having to get past someone to find a table or get a drink. Definitely not the best Garbanzo location. The food here is consistent and tasty. I am guilty of always ordering the same thing: falafel pita. The falafel is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, though sometimes they’re a little too crunchy. I like the choice of a wheat pita, and they have a nice variety of sauces and veggies as well. I’m not a fan of their hummus though; it is very acidic– I have a sensitivity to acidic food that makes my mouth hurt, which is probably why I notice, and it is pretty bland at the same time. All in all, I will likely continue to come here on occassion as the craving for falafel pita hits because it is a convenient location and I can count on the consistency of the food.

Healthy great food! My kids rally like the kids meal. They always get the half wheat pita with homemade chips, sometimes apples. They also like the lentil and tomato soup. I like it all. I’ve had the mushroom pita, chicken, and tried the steak. My top two choices are the chicken and mushroom. Lots of options if you are vegitarian.

This place reminds me of Chipotle in a fast food kind of way. Everything is tossed together and presented to you at the register. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of any of their food. Their tzatziki is rather flavorless and their hot sauce will burn each taste bud on your tongue. I was starving the night I went so I ordered the steak platter. It’s definitely a huge order for what you get. If it weren’t for a coupon, I probably wouldn’t go. I might snag a gyro next time but even Renzio’s has you guys beat on taste and flavor. Getting the food TOGO definitely makes it better for some reason. The steak I got was a bit tough and rigid. Tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer for a good amount of time. That’s all folks.

I got the Chicken Shwarma plate and loved it. I love the concept and really enjoyed trying the pickled eggplant. The hummus is great and the felafel is perfectly cooked. I mentioned that it was my first time visiting and the guy behind the counter explained everything in a very helpful and kind manner. I really did love eating here. Personally I didn’t care for the baba ghanoush, it tastes like the eggplant was smoked before being pureed, other people seem to love it though, just not my thing. Also, the pita wasn’t as soft as I expected but that was sort of a blessing as I didn’t need to eat yet another thing on my plate! I’ll definitely go back!

Mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm Garbanzo! In a perfect world I would eat here every day but we don’t live in a perfect world and Tiffany has a budget so this is a once in awhile splurge for me. Lucky for me, I can walk to this location since it’s so close to my office however I can see how this location would suck for those who are driving. There is never any parking in this strip mall and it gets way frustrating when you’re strapped for time since there are a number of other businesses surrounding it. But you know? The food is totally worth the pain of fighting some traffic. Basically what Garbanzo is a Mediterranean Chipotle. This is the perfect place for those who crave the ethnic food but don’t crave the high price tag it can sometimes come with or those who are looking into venture into the world of Mediterranean food and get their feet wet. I always get the plate packed with everything-pickled eggplant, cabbage, hummus, baba ghanoush, lettuce, rice, tsaziki and more! I usually splurge and go for the steak but sometimes will get the plate topped with sauteed mushrooms which are absolutely tasty and a perfect substitution when you’re wanting something substantial but don’t want to eat meat. I leave happy and my belly leaves happy all for under eight bones. The best part is they have a Garbanzo Rewards card so you can earn points towards a free meal with each purchase of $ 6 or more!
