Special Cleaners

As cleaners, I love them. But I won’t bring in any more alteration work. My shirts fit me worse after alteration than they did before. The person ignored the marks drawn on the fabric and the result is a side seem that is now closer to the front of the shirt and is highly visible. At first I was upset that the extra material had not been trimmed off, but since I have to get the work reversed and redone, I’m happy they didn’t make any permanent cuts.

They are so helpful and will always get the job done! I have had stained items that came back to life! The seamstress does all my clothes, buttons and jeans– she is great!

My son joined the U.S. Navy Sea Cadets in Dublin. He needs his name tags and insignia’s stitched on his uniforms and hat. He also needed his whites pressed. We had no clue who would be able to take this task on! Uniforms have to be precise.
Special Cleaners is close to us so we tried them. They were very professional and they said they can do the stitching for us. When my son picked up his uniforms, the name tags and insignia’s were stitched perfect. The white uniform was nicely pressed. We were so happy with there service and we plan on using them now on!

I have been coming to Mr. Kim some 7 years now. His prices are low and we’ve never had a problem. I recommend this Laundromat!

I’m an Active Duty Marine on Recruiting Duty in Livermore, CA. My office is across the parking lot from this place. I’ve been taking my uniforms there for almost 2 years. I have a very specific way my uniforms have to be pressed. No problem there. Great results consistently. I have also had them tailor shirts and add remove rank insignia in strict accordance with military guidelines. Very happy with the customer service thus far. Welcoming employees make you feel at home and part of their family. Highly recommended. A+!!!

We have used this cleaners for over a year & unfortunately within this last month all of my husbands buttons have been broken off, new Hugo Boss shirts & of course it is when he is traveling for business & can’t button the cuffs or collars, all very random & after 5 times going back to give June an opportunity to repair them & possibly offer some compensation for all of our inconvenience & accidentally giving us another customers shirts by mistake, his seamstress also sewed the buttons backwards so that he again off on a business trip couldn’t button his sleeves under his suit coat :((& after so many trips back there to retrieve my husbands shirts that their machines are breaking off his buttons, he hands me the last two shirts repaired still wrinkled, not even pressed, falling off the hangers & asked him why he wanted to deliver his shirts without even pressing them being it was their error & he couldn’t even wear them while on travel, but we paid for all the dry cleaning in full without ever offering us any compensation !!! Very poor service & obviously not really worried about earning our business back or his reputation ! etc… the list is long & not pretty… Please beware everyone it all seems very normal on the surface until you have an issue !! I have found the East Cleaners does everything in house & he actually inspects the shirts, pants, etc & if a button needs repairing, replacing he is happy to do that for his customers unlike Special Cleaners !!

I would only recommend this cleaner of all the Dry Cleaners in the Tri Valley. After several years of faithful service, I’m writing a review that is long overdue. My profession requires business attire that he has helped me maintain perfectly and is always looking new thanks to the attention and care Mr. Kim provides me. I have also had many perfect alterations and can count on his accomodating all my special requests, repairs and occasionally when outfit emergencies happen, same day service. Ive been taking my husbands dry cleaning to Special Cleaners for over a year. Men’s work dress shirts and pants come out nicely pressed and we always receive them on time. They also have next day service available if needed. They do their own dry cleaning in house.
