I loved this place until the owner was rude to me tonight when he got my order wrong. I told him I would take the pizza anyways with a discount since I had 4 hungry kids in the car. Instead of saying yes and apologizing he basically told me it was my fault and to wait 15 more minutes for my pizza. I said no and walked out. I won’t be returning.

Thin crappy tastless pizza. Waste of money. Delivery guy said it was awesome pizza and I would love it… I guess he never had real pizza before.

AMAZINGPIZZAPLACE. I was introduced to Bella Roma by my buddy about three months ago and I now probably go at least two times a week. The owner is always super nice and the pizza always piping hot. I have only dined in so I cannot comment on delivery. Super nice place, I recommend to all my college buddies

Just got my pizza! I have to say I like it a lot. Would definitely order from here again! It was nice and thin, not too thick. The mozzarella sticks were really good! Everything was super flavorful.

Because of a few negative reviews here, I thought I’d try it a few times before I made my decision. I’ve never ordered delivery as my parents now live directly across the street and pick up is so easy. I’ve ordered both online and by phone multiple times. I really love this place. The owner is awesome! He’s usually the one I get when I call to order with great pleasure to speak with. Down home and courteous. My parents are a huge fan of thin crust pizza so they are in LOVE with the pizza here. There are 2 other pizza places similar distance to them which we have tried. One of them messed up both pizzas and were 40 minutes late with having it ready. That didn’t go over well. The other had very good pizza but almost twice the price of Bella Roma. If you are looking for super thick chewy crust, then this may not be for you. If you love a slightly crispy and tasty crust with very fresh toppings with plenty to cover your pizza, then THIS is for you! I’ve been in now several times and am always greeted in warm way and feel very comfortable with everyone. This is definitely our favorite pizza place in town. The delivery is free so next time we order to our own house I will be giving that a try as I’ve come to know and love the reliable service and quality here!

Thin, skimpy topping pizza for too much money. You’ll get a better pizza at Safeway or Costco.

Ordered this for delivery tonight. The people were pretty nice but the pizza left much to be desired. Ordered a combination… What I received was a flat crusted minimalistic topping pizza. Doubt I’ll be ordering from this location again. Especially when the medium size came out to $ 20!

Pizza was ok. The gentleman who took my order was very polite. However when the pizza arrived it was missing the sides I had asked for. Hot wings with no ranch or blue cheese WHAT??? I called the delivery driver his response: there was no indication of sauce request on the slip… Well I asked. I tried calling to ask the restaurant what happened to my sauces I asked for. No answer, they are still open according to the website. We won’t be ordering again… I should have listened to the other reviews. Ok update: less hangry now. The pizza, and garlic cheese bread was good. We ordered half Bbq chicken, half pesto chicken. The wings were awful, I don’t think sauce would have helped at all. But I’m still angry that no one would answer to take care of the sauce issue. No marinara, no ranch

Nice little pizza shop The owner was friendly. He wasn’t joking when he said the slices are big. Piratically the length of my forearm. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Livermore.

Wow awesome food and great atmosphere. Matteo the owner is very friendly and treats you like you’re at home. Loved the pizza and wings. My wife is gluten free so she was able to enjoy a GF pizza as well. I’m coming back next time I’m in Livermore.

I lived in Livermore for 6 years before I tried this place. The man behind the counter has a great personality, and explained his menu well. The pizza was a thin crust, but had a bit of a crunch and was good. My daughter had a calzone that she loved. Went back for lunch, his pizza«Slice» is huge! That and a fresh salad made for a great lunch. The only negatives: Small dining area, tables are too close together. When it is hot outside it is unbearable in there(So get it delivered when it is hot) and the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas needs work. Overall, we will be back.

Still going strong. Mateo and his brother are busy everyday putting out the type of pizza that even back in New York would hold its own against the best. To have a fresh out of oven slice is an experience every pizza connoisseur and any AAPPHA member should study(Americans Avidly in Pursuit of Pizza Heaven Anytime)

Absolutely outstanding. This is how pizza is supposed to be. Ultra thin crust. Perfect amount of sauce and toppings. I will definitely be coming back here. I think this is my new pizza place

We ordered a large, 2-topping pizza plus spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza had hardly any toppings – literally 6 pieces each of Linguica Portuguese Sausage and Italian Sausage on top of a large pizza(talk about«where’s the meat?!»), so it made it look even more sparse. The pizza was just«OK» tasting. The four meatballs in the spaghetti were tiny – about 1″ in diameter – not the huge meatballs that was depicted on their menu above the counter. Again, the taste, like the pizza, was average at best. I make better spaghetti at home. Someone said that Bella Roma had better pizza than Melo’s in Livermore – not even close. We were the only people in the restaurant when the owner came out during our meal and asked how the pizza was. I tried to be polite and told him that«there wasn’t a lot of toppings». He didn’t say a word, no explanation – he just turned around and walked away. I was also going to make a comment about the tiny meatballs but I realized that the owner was all about saving money by giving tiny portions of meat, so we finished our meal and left. Bella Roma could actually attract more customers by giving generous toppings, more meatballs, etc., than probably relying on the local high school kids(Bella Roma is close by the local high school) who just buy pizza by the slice.

I had a good feeling about this place. I’m not sure why, but I picked it somewhat at random, and asked for my buddy to confirm with my choice. When we arrived, it was amusing as navigation had taken us around the whole shopping center, and I had to drive halfway back across the shopping center. It’s pretty much across from the Nob Hill grocery store. Going inside, it looked small but accessible. There wasn’t someone at the register. I saw someone preparing a pizza and she yelled«sorry» and I didn’t know what to think. We took a look at the menu board. There was no sign of the pizza slices we’d seen in photos on Unilocal but there was an 8 inch pizza option, along with 12, 18, and 20 inch pizzas. I really didn’t see everything because there was so much. It was a very long wait, but after another«sorry», she eventually got everything into the oven, and came forward. I ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza in an 8 inch and a combo of the same size, and she mentioned that it would be much less expensive to order slices. It was something like $ 8.99 for each 8 inch and it ended up being $ 5.00 each for each slices, so there was a big savings because of her suggestion. I asked for the restroom, and she told me that it was all the way to the back. It was clean. When I returned, I mentioned the surprise of seeing real pizza ovens, instead of those conveyor belt ovens that are so popular now. We had a quick chat as she was preparing food. As my buddy and I were watching a rugby match between England and Ireland, we passed the time, and other employees arrived. Thankfully, they were able to get food to the other people just after that. I mentioned that it reminded me of a place in Upper Darby, PA in the 69th Street shopping district and that brought back some good memories. It didn’t take too much longer for our slices. They were likely bigger than 8 inch pizzas in surface area, based on slices from a 20 inch pizza. My first bite of the combo slice made me think that they needed to clean the oven better – part of the reason conveyor belt ovens are popular because pizza dust doesn’t accumulate easily. The taste of the pizza was great. I think it’s probably the best sit-down place I’ve been for pizza in all of California. My buddy enjoyed his and we talked about it quite a bit after we left the place. He even got his ranch sauce for dipping. I’m quite happy to find a place that isn’t a chain restaurant or a fancy-schmancy place serving only whole wheat crust with cauliflower and broccoli pizza. I hope that every time I visit it’s this good. Update 2015.04.16: I tried the lasagna today. For $ 9.99, you get a decent sized portion of lasagna with two pieces of crusty bread. With the drink, I was almost at $ 13.00, which is probably too much. Lasagna costs a lot to make. This portion had meat and cheese and noodles, of course. The gravy/sauce(Italian families back east say gravy) was not full of oregano and garlic. It was a plain sauce that seemed a bit too sweet. I like to make mine a little more like Arabbiata, you know, with peppers. However, if I make lasagna, I have enough for 6 – 10 people. It was better than Stouffer’s and likely better than what Olive Garden is selling now. I wanted to love it, but I don’t.

=============== Knee Jerk Reaction Review: WTF! This place might have won the prize for the worst customer experience ever. Pizza took 1 hour and 35 minutes to get here. The dickhead owner was unapologetic and repeatedly referenced that I am a first time customer so I have no leverage. ================== Later I calmed down to write this: My neighbor George a long time resident of Livermore had tried this pizza and enjoyed it, so when I mentioned Marco’s had closed he suggested we try this place. I called at 6:16 and ordered a cheese pizza and a bacon chicken pineapple pizza. I was told it would be 40 minutes. Listen, I know how pizza delivery goes, and honestly if you want it on time, you go pick it up or make it yourself. So given that background, I don’t ever call until and hour has passed to inquire. So I called again at 7:16 to inquire of the ETA of my pizza. I was asked to hold and put on the counter. Where I got to listen to 2 or 3 other calls of irate customers and the attitude was amazing. «Well» they were told, «if you had ordered earlier» or the best one«we don’t guarantee delivery». I finally hung up and called back because it was clear I could have sat on the counter all night. When I finally got through to find out WTFWMP, this was the response to my inquiry: «WHAT is an ETA?» so I told him«the estimated time of arrival of my pizza that was ordered an hour ago». He said what did you order? I said well it was a cheese pizza and some large bacon special. He said, we dont have a large«bacon special». I said well the guy I ordered it from said you did. He said, «You can’t remember what pizza you ordered an hour ago?» I said, «well the other guy I talked to wasn’t incompetent and took care of me.» Obviously it escalated from here. He proceeded to tell me that my pizza left on time, however this cannot be proven because when the driver finally arrived the time on his third world POS system was off by 12 hours. The driver gave me that look, you know the please don’t take it our of my tip because the boss is a total jerk. Sorry buddy. I was told by the surly man on the phone that if I had ordered«5 or even 2 times before they could take claims seriously, but it’s just my word against his». Seriously it would be hilarious had I not been trying to make it easy on my sick wife by ordering pizza. DICK.
