Nasty! I was told if I want to have my cuticles cut I should do it myself before I come. The woman who runs the place is rude, she said people here have money, they think they can ask whatever they they want, this was said in front of other customers. What am I paying for? Rude. I read other customer comments saying how much they love this salon… well so did I, its a matter of time. Stay away. Having a manicure is a little pampering I do for pleasure. I don’t feel at all pampered, I was verbally attacked in front of other customers.

Best quiet atmosphere and cozy place– call ahead to make sure you’ll get a timely appointment — the 15 minute chair massage is amazing-! They are great at eyebrow shaping(Ginny and Letty)

I absolutely love this nail salon. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive but worth it. I’ve been a loyal customer for about 2 years– never a bad experience! The owners are very nice– and yes, language can be difficult at times, but once you get to know Teddy and Jean you will have no problem at all. I always make an appointment which is definitely honored. The staff is very nice, the spa is beyond clean. I usually see some regulars there, which speaks to their very loyal following. Can not go wrong ever at Moma!!! I see

Owners not friendly, no smiles and not welcoming. Pedicure and gel manicure were fine not great and pretty expensive. A basic gel manicure is $ 35 which is $ 10 more than most good nail salons charge in Watertown or Southbury. Further more a meager selection of polishes to choose from.

I had one of the girls here wax my eyebrows and she took off half my eyebrow… Had to wait 3 months for it to somewhat grow back in and get another wax. It was awful, I had to fill in my eyebrows everyday so that they would match! Never go here for a wax on anything! The people who work here are rude and I got a manicure here once and they were pushing back my cuticles and scraped my finger, it wouldn’t stop bleeding and was so painful.

I went here for the first time yesterday. I had made an appt for a gel manicure and normal pedicure. They took me almost immediately which I was impressed with… most nail places seem to not honor appts. My pedicure was fantastic with an awesome massage. I got a gel French manicure. I think one of the owners was the one doing my nails. The end result was great but the experience wasn’t. She was answering the phone and helping people which wouldn’t have been a big deal if the phone didn’t constantly ring and people didn’t constantly come in the door, causing her to keep walking away. I would never go there without an appt based on the way she treated walk ins. When people asked how long the wait was she would just say«a long time». I would probably return here since my nails came out great but definitely wouldn’t go during busy times and always with an appt.

Just had one of the rudest experiences at Moma’s Nails. Walked in with my friend and waited at the counter for five minutes for someone to help us. When we were finally acknowledged, I politely asked if there would be a long wait for two manicures and pedicures. She mumbled something inaudible and then shoved the appointment book in my face and told me if I could find any time available on the schedule then maybe she could fit us in. A simple, «no, we don’t have any availability today» would have been fine. They may want to brush up on their customer service skills. I will not be back.

First timer getting pedicure here and wasn’t crowded which was nice but girl didn’t understand what I was trying to tell her in that I had toe surgery and to be gentle… ouch! The rest of pedi felt rushed and the worst part is my polish chipped 4 days later!!! They must thin out the polish with acetone which a lot of «discount» salons do. Won’t be back

My favorite place to go! So clean and relaxing. The gel manicure is the way to go. I recommend Monica, she pays attention to detail and gives the best back massage. Hands down best place in Litchfield area.

Have been a ‘regular’ for 2+ years and have never been let down. I always make an appointment because they can get busy, but always seem to accommodate everyone. If you come during less busy hours, you get extra attention and long massages. Very pleasant, kind staff, reasonably priced. I will be a customer for many years. Shellac manicures last 2 – 3 weeks; pedicures 6+weeks. And they know how to properly wax your eyebrows and not burn or damage your skin. ***Update — I’m sad to say that after 2+ years as a regular customer, I was 10 minutes late for an appointment. The salon was so overbooked, that I was told I’d have to come back the next day. I feel like this salon tires too hard to take on as many clients as possible, which I understand from a fiscal standpoint, but turning away a regular customer for a very small first offense is kind of ridiculous. And I never went back.

Went here for a pedi with my mom. Made an appointment for 430 out the door at 530. The leg massage was longer than any other part of the pedicure. While our toes dried another massage was done to our backs with warm towels. Wonderful. Very friendly and relaxing. This is our new spot.
