A lovely little resting place(circa 1908) for long-gone and some very well known racehorses, the most prized broodmares and stallions of Hamburg Place, a large farm and renowned breeding operation owned by the Maddens. It is one of the oldest dedicated to racehorses in the United States. The cemetery as moved from its original location to make way for the development of Hamburg as a shopping area. Many streets in the vicinity are named in their honor — Star Shoot, Plaudit, Pink Pigeon.

A small cemetery for famous racehorses. Not the original location, but it’s in a park next to a strip mall. Looked locked when i stopped by, I didn’t exert much effort into entry. There’s no parking on Sir Barton. If you park up the road near Tom + Chee, don’t cut through the park unless you want to cross a stream without a bridge,
