I was beginning to wounder about the accuracy of the Unilocal reviews. This place was dirty and the food tasted mass produced.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on a recent visit to Lexington. A much better choice than one of the many chain fast food options. I had the Cosi club squagel sandwich, which was awesome. I guess a squagel is short for a square bagel, which they make onsite. Very good. My wife and daughter had the Ancient Grain oatmeal, which they both thought was great, especially the little bar where you add your own toppings, fruit, etc. Service was fast, and the interior has a «Panera» kind of feel to it. Definitely worth a stop.

Cosi is a fast casual chain restaurant where I’ve experienced good and so-so. The menu looks enticing with sandwiches, flatbreads and salads and usually including a seasonal option. The photos look great and tasty. I just don’t know about how satisfied I was with the food last time I came here, though. My boyfriend and I had just finished a workout and we were starving, so we ordered the chicken pesto sandwich, the Cobb salad, the spinach artichoke dip, and the portobello mushroom bowl. It all looked great on the plates, but none of it was hot. The artichoke dip was cold in the middle of the bowl. It tasted great, yes. But it would have been better hot. The sandwich was bland and very plain. Just chicken and bread. The Cobb salad was probably the best as far as getting what you expect. It had a lot of chicken on it. The portobello bowl was also tasty but cold. The cheese that was supposed to be melted on top was browned as if it had once been hot, but then maybe frozen and apparently not heated back up properly. I am not taking this into consideration when I choose 2-stars for my review because it is obviously not the same location, but the Cosi in St. Joe Hospital is terrible.

Ate lunch there today with friends. It was good. I had the chicken with mozzarella and basil grilled flatbread and it was really good. They serve coke products and even have a caffeine free choice at the self serve fountain, so that gives them a star from me. The service was good and the prices are not bad. You can have chips or carrot sticks as a side. I’ve also had the Greek salad before and love it. Have tried the mac ‘n cheese before and won’t have it again ;) But today, all was good.

First impression, this place reminds me of Panera. Panera has never impressed me so I was skeptical about Cosi. But one thing about Cosi super impressed me: Mediterranean Lentil Soup. It was quite possibly one of the best lentil soups I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had my share of lentil soups! One thing that did not impress me was the Smart Fit Salad. On paper it sounds delicious: kale, romaine, roasted sweet potatoes, red peppers, black beans, corn, avocado and housemeade chipotle lime dressing. The serving was huge but something about it seemed very sad. For starters, the kale was on the verge of wilt. Second, I felt that the salad lacked effort. Very boring. But I never let good veggies go to waste! I took it back to the house we were staying at and added a few things to give it a bit more pizzaz. Everything we ordered came with flatbread. I think it’s baked in house in their hearth that I though was just for decoration. Our abundance of flatbread filled us up. Lastly, this CA girl thought Hot Apple Cider on cold Kentucky night was a great idea. Tasty stuff! If it wasn’t for the amazing lentil soup, I’d be giving this place 2-stars. But the soup made me a fan. If I could, I’d give Cosi 3.5 stars. A-OK! :)

Had lunch in Hamburg location. I had bought a Groupon for two meals. Including deserts for $ 12. I had the chicken TBM melt. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. For desert we shared the DIY Smores. Very fun experience. I found a new lunch spot. As it is close to my studio

Damn cosi, why my chicken cold Ok so I walk in and everything smells good. I see the menu and liking spicy things picked the buffalo blew. I get it and take a bite almost got a Brain freeze the chicken wasn’t even cooked. Halfway through my meal they turned on the jets of Antarctica and I practically froze to death. I am probably about to get food poisoning.

This place has gone downhill since I last visited… but then again that was 6 years ago! I use to love the food here but upon my last visit I didn’t even trust eating the food due to the unprofessional service and what seemed to be not the cleanest restaurant choice. Hopefully it was an off night for them.

We stopped here for lunch on our way through town. I had the chicken adobo bowl(gluten free!). It had chicken, tomato, roasted veggies, black beans, onion and corn on top of quinoa. It was the perfect meal on a fall day, if you’re not in the mood for a sandwich. I received a generous portion, so will enjoy it again tomorrow. Great alternative to fast food when you’re on a road trip. We’ll be back!

I bookmarked this place for a potential lunch while driving through Lexington. It looked like it would have fresh, vegetarian-friendly food. On these, it did deliver. Points to note: LOCATION: It’s not a place you’re just going to come across on the interstate. Nestled near business parks a block or two off of Man ‘o War, it’s easy enough to find if you’re looking for it/have it bookmarked in Unilocal and use your phone. ORDERING: The entrance/set-up is a bit odd-the menu is on the wall on the left side when you walk in, THEN you proceed to the counter to order. So, unlike your Chiptoles/Paneras of the world, people were leap-frogging over each other to order once they were finished browsing the menu. Having never been, I was trying hard to remember the names of what I wanted. Luckily, they do have menus at the register, and the gentleman who took my order asked the right questions to make sure I was ordering what I wanted. PRICE: My lunch was over $ 9-with no meat and coffee(black) to drink. That’s a bit spendy in my book. However, I am willing to pay more for fresh ingredients that aren’t hidden in a stack of carbs, over-sauced, over-dressed or over-cooked and don’t leave me guzzling water the rest of the day. Overall, it’s Panera-esque in look, feel(with fewer electrical outlets), and menu, sans the bready-carbs(pro or con? your call). It is a franchise. All of the sandwiches come on a crackery flatbread, and I believe it’s also served with full salads and sandwiches. In my inevitable want to try everything-I did the half Tomato, Basil, Mozz melt and half Greek salad. For a half salad, the portion was sizable, the greens were noticeably green(no iceberg filler), the dressing was moderate and teetering near heavy(get it on the side if you are worried), and the fresh basil on the sandwich immediately tasted like summer. Also came with the choice of baby carrots or chips(almonds as an option would have been excellent!). The meal was surprisingly filling and was a good choice for a lunch stop.

Love this place — great and different food, nice décor, easy in and out. It’s one of my favorite lunch spots. They even have smores and espresso drinks. What more could you ask for.

I SO want this place to do well — their food is amazing. The sandwiches are wonderful(the TBM is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten). Soups, good. Salads, very good. Flatbread, great. And yet they lose a star for their service, which is almost always inept. The cashier is invariably new and confused. And my order is wrong about every third visit(I find myself unwrapping things before I walk out to check them). If they ever get their service act together, they’ll be unstoppable.(I should note that the service issues are specific to THIS Cosi — their stores in other cities seem to do just fine.)

Like all Cosi, it’s warm and inviting with just a touch of whimsy. They have a great menu selection of mostly fresh ingredients. They also have fun stuff like s’mores you make at the table.(S’mores kit can also be taken home if you prefer) They have a modest beer selection along with tea and wine. They even have an Oreo cookie espresso milkshake. Their smoothies are not what I would consider to technically be a smoothie, and fall more towards the flavored slushy realm of things. I would personally avoid them as I don’t believe their value lies in nutrition or health. As chains go, it definitely impresses me. There is an outdoor patio for dining when the sun is warm. In addition to what I’ve already mentioned, they have an array of fun and decadent desserts. Or for the health conscious, they have a healthy trail mix of my personal favorite: raw almonds, dried cranberries, and pistachios. There are always several coffee blends to choose from. Your food is made to order while you wait, but you rarely wait long. They have an Impressive fire oven for cooking the addictive crispy bread in your choice of white or wheat. I keep forgetting they have a full menu because I walk In the door with my order ready: toasted TBM, add hummus and a side of horseradish mustard. Yum.

Fantastic. Everything about this place is good. The food. The drinks. The desserts. The atmosphere. And to top it off, nothing is overpriced.
