Pretty solid food and efficient service. I often came here because it was within walking distance of my office and not Subway or the terrible Chinese take out place. The pizzas are alright — not outstanding, but not terrible either. The quality of the subs/paninis appeared to depend on who was cooking that day, sometimes I got more fillings than other days, but the food wasn’t bad. My favorite dish was the spaghetti peperocino, which for $ 7 was a good deal of spicy pesto pasta and sausages. I’m writing this in the past tense because when I was there yesterday, the place was empty(which is rare, there’s usually at least a group or two in there during lunch time), and I overheard the guy behind the counter tell another customer that Pasta Nostra was closing that day. I’m sad to see it go, because while it might not be on par with Pasta Plus, it served pretty solid pasta and pizza at reasonable prices. It seems like it just couldn’t attract a large enough customer base, especially for dinner, since I saw some groupon/living social deals for that time…

We been going to pasta Nostra for many years! And it’s the best place hands down! Excellent food, great service! They even make a dish for my husband that is no longer on the menu, so that is what I call good customer service! Love pasta Nostra!!!

Great food and great staff. The young gentleman that is always there behind the counter and taking orders from the tables, is wonderful. My family and I have been coming here for a while. At first, years ago, only for their pizza. Now that they have changed over from«cafeteria style» to «restaurant dining in» style, we have found their pasta and meat dishes are just as good as the pizza. The Gnocchi Pesto is unbelievable! Never a bad experience – I really am stunned to read some of the horrible reviews. FYI, I’m Italian, and for this particular area, and their prices, they are doing a great job.

Changed, trying to go upscale. Foods ok, not exceptional. We had soup salad and appetizer. Tomato soup was not that great

I took my 3 teenaged kids to Pasta Nostra on a Groupon coupon and found it difficult to spend the $ 60. The menu prices were incredibly reasonable and we liked everything we bought. I tend to judge an Italian restaurant by their fried squid and found Pasta Nostra’s to be lightly battered and nicely cooked without being greasy. My daughter loved the alfredo pasta and the portions were generous — except for the chicken wings though they tasted good. The service was also great. While the restaurant could use some updating, the food was terrific.

To Dorothy — you must not have children. I’m so sorry for your lack of compassion. Or maybe you were just disillusioned in the half minute we were there. We were discriminated against. As soon as we walked IN he was making rude gestures to the lady in the back indicating that we had kids. It was SO rude. You probably didn’t notice my well-mannered son holding the door open for everyone. Kids are kids but they were NOT jumping on the furniture and screaming. If you had given them more than 20 seconds they would have relaxed and everyone would be fine. They were excited but not screaming and jumping. Bouncing onto a booth is what happens because it’s a booth not a chair. Have you been to Chuck e cheese? Then you would know what real screaming and jumping is. Next time please be more PATIENT and have a little compassion before embarassing others. It’s a FAMILY restaurant not an ADULT restaurant. You have no right to criticize my parenting skills based on a 20 second meeting. You have no idea how hard I work to give my kids the manners and compassion that they have. The only way they will learn and improve is to practice at a restaurant. Thanks to the horrible approach they took, Pasta Nostra will NOT be getting our business or any of our friends.

My family and I have been ordering Pasta Nostra pizza’s for over six years(at least 3 a month) and we have never had one complaint. If you fancy a thinner crust pizza that that is plentiful with cheese and toppings(meat lovers has never let us down) than this is the pizza for you. The only downfall is that they don’t deliver but it is worth it to drive there and get it piping hot and fresh. We will occasionally dine in and also have had stellar experiences with the staff, service and food from the wonderful complementary garlic bread to the calamari to the desserts(which could be a tab bit larger). We will be going there tonight with some friends and our 1 year old to celebrate my birthday and I have been excited all day.

We stopped going to Pasta Nostra because the food became horrible! I read some of the reviews here and hoped they had gotten their act together and had improved. NOT! Pasta soaked in horrible sauces and the salmon overcooked. Worst meal we have had in a long time and we eat out at least 3x a week. I felt sorry for the young man who waited on us he was very attentive — that is why I gave 2 stars.

Not the best, not the worst. I would go again. The pizza actually taste like NYC pizza, which my Queens raised hubby a’ppreciated. I thought the lobster ravioli was bland, but it tasted phenomenal the next day. My favorite was the red velvet cupcake. Wish it could’ve been a nice, thick slice instead of a small cupcake, but maybe that’s me being greedy.

We like the pizza here and my husband is an Italian NJ pizza snob. I am not big on the other stuff so much, but the pizza is worth the drive out. Their sodas are normally good and fizzy as well.

Food was great! Some of the best pizza in Laurel. Price was great as well. $ 40 for a large pizza, a meat calzone, large house salad and and antipasto platter. Will definitely come back!

I was traveling on business in this area, and relied on the reviews for this restaurant. Do not want to insult anyone who gave this restaurant a decent review, but my taste buds might be a little bit more in-tuned. Put simply: the food was terrible. We ordered calamari(Rubber bands), anti-pasti(sour, Supermarket quality cheese) and chicken and veal Parmesan(can you say freezer burns). So I’m going to bring this 3 ½ rated restaurant down to reality by posting a one star. The one star is for the service very friendly guy and attentive. The locals may like this restaurant but for you business travelers stay away!

Yuck!!! Used Unilocal to find this place and was steer wrong for the first time ever. The restaurant is in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. We were the only people to sit, but later 2 other couples came in. the calamari was thick and rubbery. the antipasto consisted of a bad artichoke, cardboard like tomatos, salty mozzerella and other items you would not care to eat. The veal parm was like chewing on burnt leather. The pasta was cooked very well, but the apparently canned sauce took away the only positive part of the food. The server was very good!

Went at lunchtime on a Sunday, and the place was empty, though more people were coming in as we left. I had the chicken fettucini alfredo, and my dining partner had a meat calzone. Both were great; mine was the«small» size, which was enough for one very filling meal, and the calzone was large enough for leftovers. I think an earlier reviewer’s calling this a nicer, Italian-focused Noodles & Co. was spot on. The food is good, the interior is very nicely decorated, the prices were beyond reasonable, and the service was good. It’s a good neighborhood spot for when you want italian food fast/cheap, and don’t need/want an upscale dining experience. It would be great for groups, too. Not the kind of place to insist your friends go to with you, but certainly a solid option for casual dining.

Large menu, large portions, and friendly staff. This reminds me of a nicer Italian version of Noodle & Co. You order from the counter, get your drink and sit down. Then they bring you your food as its ready. Everything is made to order so, it can be 15min or so for your entrée to arrive. We were a party of 9 plus a baby with vegetarians, health conscious individuals and those on a tight budget. This fit our needs perfectly. I ordered a large house salad with the balsamic on the side and the small Penne Arrabbiata with mushrooms. The salad was fresh with loads of veggies. The dressing was very oily. My husband’s ceasar was ok but drowning in dressing. Be sure to get your dressing on the side. My main dish was cooked nicely, a much larger portion than I was expecting and spicy spicy. The spice was the best part of this dish. I can handle some heat so, if you don’t like spicy food this will be too much for you. I liked that they didn’t over cook the pasta like most Italian places. We husband commented that the dish would have been very bland without the heat. We ordered the baby spaghetti and meatballs off the kids menu. It was just as large of a portion as our entrée and he seemed to enjoy it just fine. I took a bite and thought it was pretty bland. Perfect for my little guy. The garlic bread they serve on the side was good. Most people seemed to enjoy their dish. The calzone especially. That thing was massive! I would consider coming back here for a quick pizza fix. I had a slice of their white pizza before and remember really enjoying it. If you are looking for a lunch spot for a crowd, this place is perfect. Nothing fancy or especially memorable, but worth a visit.

I was very pleased with the price and quality of the gnocchi pesto and bruschetta I ordered from here. It’s a cute spot, with a great counter and kitchen staff. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the entrees came with perfectly toasted garlic bread. The gnocchi was not chewy or rubbery, and the pesto was sufficiently flavorful. I find gnocchi at lower end restaurants usually sucks. Not so here, in fact, it’s a lot better that other places charging significantly more. The lunch prices are particularly reasonable. I also tasted the tomato sauce and found it to be very good. The place is a gem in the midst of a lot of lackluster food in Laurel.

Great Pasta! The sauce is delicious. My favorites are the chicken with arugula and pine nuts, and the scampi pescatore. It’s a great place for a cheap and delicious lunch. The staff is very friendly.

Pasta– ok. Pizza? THEBEST. Seriously, around here, for the price, you just can’t beat it. And the price isn’t bad, especially if you go on Tuesday(I think), when there is a special price on their carryout pizza. The crust is chewy and delicious, the sauce has a nice tang, and the cheese… oh, the cheese. Seriously it is SOGOOD. Every time I get a carry out pizza, I come here. Call ahead so your pizza is ready when you arrive.

Great food, nice people, VERY clean, the pasta’s fresh, portions are large, price is only slightly higher than, say, Olive Garden. Casual restaurant, easy to eat and run. We tend to eat here a lot. It is habit forming!
