I don’t visit Lakewood often, but when I do, I prefer Lakewood Park. I am, the most boring man in the world.
We held a charity volleyball tournament here, and overall I must say I’m impressed with the park. It’s got two softball fields kitty corner from each other, so lots of grassy space in between if no one has reserved the softball fields. There are also two or three very nice sand volleyball courts in addition to a number of official baseball fields, (you know, with outfield fences and stuff) tennis courts and two large picnic shelters available for renting. My only beef, and this is a small one, is that the parking lot filled up since both shelters were rented out for the day and there were a number of other things going on at the park that day.
