I had a jaunty stroll through this park, and just loved it! I forgot how great it is. The history goes as follows: The millionaire that founded the Denver Post, left his fortune to his daughter, and their mansion and property is what we know as Belmar Park today. You can still see remnants of it around the lake. Then Lakewood brought other buildings and homes from the past and placed them in the park. Some say you can still catch glimpse of those pioneers in the windows of these old houses. SCARY!!!
