Without a doubt the worst retail experience for me was dealing with Ava and her Co worker at Colorblast flowers. I ordered a large Bouquet for my wife, it was our 15 year anniversary. I placed my order online 1 week early and I selected the Bouquet in the nice picture shown. However to be sure it would be a nice surprise I ordered one size larger than the picture provided so my order was the Large Premium size. My thinking was, by ordering the next size up I would probably end up with something similar to the picture. The suggested list price was $ 105.95 plus a handling fee. They had an online promotion so I paid less and with my credit card and ticked it off my to do list. The day arrives as did the flowers around 3pm which was fine… take a look at what Ava put together and sent out. To say I was embarrassed when this so called…“Large Bouquet” of flowers arrived in front of everyone at my home is an understatement. My wife was very grateful but ultimately she and I both thought I had been ripped off pretty good. The long and short of it was it took 3 days of fighting with Ava and her Co worker over the phone. The conversations were very unpleasant as I was talked down to and felt as if I had done something wrong by ordering online… The apology I received felt incredibly insincere and they ranted how this would cost them money to fix and if I received a refund and they picked up the flowers they would be out of pocket… They very reluctantly finally agreed to pick up the flowers so I waited all day the next day and they were a no show. Ava mentioned legal action for slander after I mentioned I would post my picture of her arrangement in my review on here, on Unilocal.I made it clear to Ava that leaving a review of my experience is my opinion of the experience and not slander. Besides if it is true it is not slander. This is the first negative review I have ever left anyone and as a small business owner myself I feel very reluctant to post this as I do not want to hurt their business. However if I leave a good review it would be unfair to others who rely upon our experiences and then that defeats the object of using reviews. So here you have it my honest experience dealing with these guys. Finally I would like to add what I have written here is the conservative version of my Colorblast Flowers experience. «Yes, the experience was that unpleasant»… In my opinion Laguna Beach will quickly learn at least one way of how this store can generate revenue… any guesses… if not take a look at the pictures again…

New to Laguna Beach within the last couple months. Quaint, family run, flower and gift shop. A literal mom and pop shop. I’ve met mom and Pop! :) and their young son who also helps with the business. Their flowers are always very fresh. Most of their orders are custom. They work very fast and I have been happy with a few arrangements I’ve bought here over the last couple months. They also have unbelievable Swiss chocolate to add to your flowers. It’s pricey, but as good as it gets I’m told. Give this business a shot.
