Metropolis Comics

I went there to get comics for my library, mainly because I had none. As such, I had a few hundred dollars to get a nice selection. I had an ecig with me and, seeing several of the folks playing some card game having one on the table next to them, decided to use it while looking for comics.
About 3 seconds after this, the owner waddled up and informed that he didn’t like ecigs (His words) and that I needed to leave immediately. If he had asked me previously, I wouldn’t have done it. If there had been a sign, I wouldn’t have don’t it. I spent the money online, and in retrospect saved a good bit of money. Everything there is overpriced anyway.
There are several other comic stores in the area, all with much friendlier staff and better prices. Unless you’re good friends with the owner, avoid this place.

I lived in LaSalle. I moved to Peoria for work. I still shop here because they carry what I read. Peoria has two comic book shops but refuses to find you what you need. Metropolis Comics is amazing and the owner is spectacular.

I come here every few months when I’m in town. It’s really the only comic shop in Laslle county, but the owner really works hard to keep the customers happy. They sell comics, figurines, card games, and magic cards.
Plus they are really nice to kids and gave my daughter a discount when she didn’t have the extra dollar saved up for the three comics she wanted.
