By far the best Marshall’s! Nicely organized and clean. Better name brand selections at this location!

This location is one of my favorite Marshalls stores in San Diego.
When you enter, you will find that about ¾ of the right side of the store is dedicated to mostly shoes and handbags with a clearance shoes section lining almost an entire wall. Lots of name brands to choose from. Throughout the years, I have purchased several pairs of shoes here, most priced less than $ 60, and a Michael Kors handbag for only $ 69!
Each section is nicely organized and clean. They have a large Junior section with about 8 aisles and a higher quality selection of children’s clothes. I bought some beautiful Easter dresses for some relatives of mine earlier in the year.
The lines are quick and the cashiers are friendly, unlike what I often experience at a competing store, whose name begins with an ‘R’…

Out of every Marshall’s I’ve been to this is by far the best location! I’m a regular here and can say I come in at least 3 times a week on my lunch break. What I love about this location is that they are organized, always have a great selection. Compared to Ross they are more expensive but offer better quality product. My favorite part about this location is that it’s in the same parking lot as Ross so you can hit up both stores at once to find great deals!
What I love about Marshall’s:
–name brand perfume, half off
–name brand work out clothes (nike, Adidas, reebok)
–Name brand hair products, half price
–great for home décor and kitchen utensils
–great candle selection
–awesome for dog toys and treats

I literally RAN through this store while the hubs waited outside with the dog. I grabbed an adorable summer dress of the racks and found a pair of sunglasses and a case. They had a really nice selection of shoes as well as a good selection of shampoo and skin care products.
No screaming kids here and the check out line was short and quick with friendly cashiers. I’m sure I could have found much more if I had more time to look.

I love shopping at Marshall’s. And honestly this location has some great stuff. But I am writing this review solely for the cashiers at this particular location. I have been here twice and received the same treatment. Just because I am brown skinned does not mean I will put up with your racist behavior. My cashier was this old ratty looking guy called Mort. After he was done serving the people at his counter, I was next in line. So he hands them the bill, looks at me and then turns around to start putting away hangars behind him. After making me wait for nearly 10 mins, he notices a line forming behind me and calls me to the counter in a very brusque tone. Then he starts removing the hangars from the tops I’ve put on the table. He doesn’t say a thing to me nor does he make eye contact. He is extremely curt with me. Now there is a fairly large line behind me and lots of fair skinned people as well and his demeanor changes instantly. He then politely asks if I found everything alright and if I had a good day. He rings me up and says have a great day with a big smile (all for show!!). Great going Mort!!! You put on a great act. I didn’t want to make a scene so I took my stuff and left. But I’ve never felt so discriminated before! Shame on you! Both times I was here I was subjugated to a very racist attitude. All this because you are in La Jolla? I’m never coming back here!!! And if you are brown or darker skinned like me, find somewhere else to go! Don’t let yourself be treated the way I was.

This store is clean, well lit, welcoming, and fairly organized unlike many other locations or stores similar to Marshalls.
I have been dropping in once a week for a month to find a cooking utensil that I was told the store usually has in stock, but apparently hasn’t had in each week I come in the day of or after shipment. In the meantime, I have been making small purchases here and there for my room/​apartment or for other things. I also peruse the aisles to see if there is anything that might be fitting for my list of needs/​wants that I am reluctant to make purchases for yet.
Though I haven’t purchased clothing or accessory items here, they all seem of fair quality or better than other discount stores. I am impressed with the decent selection of shoes, handbags, clothes, etc etc and how they are neatly displayed.
I had to make a return for a purchase that was past the 30 days. You usually have to get in store credit, but I asked if they could make an exception because I had my credit card and original receipt and the item was left perfect in the box. I have a tendency to make a purchase and shelve it after learning that it has no use or doesn’t work for me. I decided to take the plunge and return it once I found the receipt. I was just a couple days shy of the 30 day mark. The cashier asked her manager if they could make an exception and they said, YES! I was very grateful. Thank you!
One thing you might want to do when shopping here for things other than clothes is to make sure the item works properly. I bought a portable charger that was already broken in the box. I discovered this as I walked out and around the corner of the store. I ended up walking straight back in and returning it that day.
Location is also good.

This is by far my favorite Marshalls location in San Diego. They always have a great selection and it seems to be more organized than some of the Marshalls. I also love how friendly all of the staff members are. Whenever I am in the neighborhood, I make sure to stop by.

Hit or miss like most second’s stores, but if you’re patient, and inspect carefully what you buy, often you can find a good deal on name brand items nearly indistinguishable from their full-​price counterparts. Clothing selection a bit weak at times, but seems to run in cycles, with good items sometimes available. A little grody in places, but I guess cutting down on the cleaning staff helps keep prices low. I think.

I Love this Marshalls always seem to have a great selection of gym clothes which is the first thing I go to when coming here.

I love this marshalls location! It can be hit or miss at these discount price for designer goods kinds of stores but this one is always clean (even the restroom) and they always have the best selection of designer stuff. Tons of selection for wayyyy cheaper. They keep on trend and adjust according to the season, and they make it easy to find what you need. Ie it’s organized. This store is always one of my first stops before I go throw away my money at nordies and bloomies.

This location is one of the better maintaned and stocked stores in SD. More selection of most everything from shoes both men’s and women’s, luggage, clothing an housewears. I like coming here when I want more for selection of items or when I’m looking for specific housewares that might not be in stock at other locations. Located in local mall that has enough other stores like world market, Ross stores, a movie theater an about Alf dozen or so places to eat without getting back in car. Good way to spend the afternoon in la Jolla other than the beach.

The customer service here sucks. I was trying to get a luggage there and found that there are lots of dark spots on the luggage. I asked the sales rep if they have a new one. She said that they don’t have a new one. However, they can give me a discount at the cashier. When I try to pay for it, the cashier checked with the so called manager, in fact a coordinator at the store, she said those spots can come off. Oh well… If she can take those spots off, why she did not do it. She worked on Tuesday 7 pm shift manager. I love shopping at Marshall’s. However, the inconsistency of their customer service stop me going back again. If I could, I will not let her be the manager with such a poor judgement and customer service skills. She stares at me after I refused to buy that stained luggage.

One of the better Marshall’s around SD. It’s always clean and organized and lots of designer items. Love coming to this location.

There are only 2 fittings room for men — had to wait 15 minutes. Each guy had a lot of stuff. hey Marshall’s, make more room for the guy$!! I Found great pants on clearance regardless

Nice array of items to buy. As usual you have to really dig through the items to find anything that Good..

Hands down my favorite store and this location specifically is phenomenal! They have so many varieties and very trendy clothes, shoes, and home items! I always walk out of this store with over hundred of dollars in purchases!!! And I never regret it ever! My home is filled with Marshall’s items especially kitchen and small accent decorations! Love this place and the best location and recommend for everyone to come to this location for great finds!

While being sometimes slightly overpriced, they are usually fully stocked. I come here often and there’s always something new. Their furniture seems to be of good quality but overpriced for being a «discounted» retailer. I can rely on Marshall’s more than I can Ross Dress 4 Less — which is like a version of Food for Less but they sell crappy clothes instead. This Marshall’s caters to all of La Jolla area so I always see those housewives quickly filling their cart up!

I love Marshall’s. they do have great clothes and prices. I seriously don’t get the hype of designer names but if you like that stuff they have nice designer clothes and shoes here as well. They sell a few non clothing items like headphones, bath gels, handbags, and house décor. It’s much like a Ross but nicer women’s clothing selection in my opinion
Complaints: they use to have plenty of cashiers even before the holiday season but today the line was huge and good for business but only three cashiers. I am relatively patient in line, my mind wanders but others… The lady behind me kept tapping her nails on a box she held until I turned around, another lady kept coming through the line to show her friend one after another ugly ass shirts to add to their pile. We all eventually got to buy our items and then wait in traffic
Also, I would think there’s an outside janitorial service but maybe the already busy employees are responsible for the cleanliness of the bathroom. I do not know. Either way it was not clean, suffice to say. I am being polite, surprisingly. To make it worse, there were no seat covers! The floor however was decorated with rolled up ones! So I got to squat and pee in Marshall’s which, even for a great deal for clothes, is mostly beneath me: D

I tend not to shop at Marshalls because it is often too disorganized for me. I stopped into this one looking for some socks to fill my husband’s stocking. I was actually surprised at how organized this Marshalls was. I didn’t spend too much time looking at everything, but I did manage to circle the entire store and saw some items that I didn’t expect at Marshalls. They pretty much have everything here and at a good price.
The register line is set up so that they have impulse items surrounding you as you wait to see which register number is open. They actually got me and I bought some potpourri I found while waiting in line. The line did go by quickly though.
One thing to note is that the men’s socks are hanging against the wall and of course the ones I wanted were too high for me to reach. I mean I could have gotten them if the hook was twisted up so that you had to lift over it. So, shorties, you might have to bring a tall friend or ask a taller stranger (like I did) to grab your socks for you.

This Marshalls is without a doubt the Marshalls location you visit when you’re on the prowl for high ticket items. And hurry – because the more expensive inventory moves through this store fast.
I splurged on 2 Ted Baker jackets this past Saturday, and some Prada and D&G heels caught my eye.
Disgusting fitting rooms, but I deal with them. Best of luck finding a fitting room door that closes/​locks on your first attempt.
Always good finds. So good, in fact, that when I want to save money I make it a point not to come here!
