Evans Dermatology – Kyle Parkway

Dr. Pena was great! She made somewhat of an uncomfortable situation comfortable. This was my first visit to a dermatologist so I was a little apprehensive & unsure of what might take place. My family & I will definitely go back to her in the future for all our dermatology needs.

Efficient, courteous, and you never wait long! I have seen many dermatologists in my time for various reasons, Often, I have gotten hard sales on products and procedures. Not here at Evans. Totally professional. I find that Dr. Venessa Pena is fantastic. She is knowledgeable, yet practical with her advice and recommendations. All the staff at Evans are friendly and down to earth. Highly recommend and I am happy to say I have found my dermatologist here in Austin area.

The entire staff at the Kyle location was awesome. They were very understanding about how I felt regarding my skin concerns. Vanessa was very knowledgeable and gave me options and I feel extremely satisfied with our decision. I suggest this place to anyone.

Dr. Peña was Extremely knowledgeable about prescriptions and latest research. She took the time to listen to my previous experiences, my research done on the latest prescriptions, and was also sensitive to my condition. Her staff is professional and kindly assist with intake questions/​concerns, appointment scheduling/​and cancelations. Because of her, my quality of life is at 100%! I’m comfortable in my own skin, and don’t have to hide it! My confidence has improved and I am grateful!

After having almost completely written off Evans Dermatology due to a very lousy experience a few years back at the Brodie location, I decided I would give it another shot, as I had a somewhat emergency situation and they’re the most popular office around me.
I saw Dr. Pena at the Kyle location. She was absolutely fantastic and such a pleasant change from the previous doc I had seen. She was so down to earth and made me feel very comfortable, with a condition I was kind of freaking out about. She listened to my thoughts and opinions, and responded to them in a non-​arrogant way, unlike some doctors who make you feel inferior as a person, and like nothing but a number in their busy schedule (which was absolutely how I felt at my first appt. at Evans). Dr. Pena wasn’t sure on some of the details of my condition, but she never acted as though she knew it all. She even stayed in the office and researched different studies on the computer, and even called on one of her doctor friends to get some answers.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Pena (as well as her MA). I felt as if I were talking to a friend, rather than a doctor. I am glad I gave Evans Dermatology a second chance, and I think I will be insisting on Dr. Pena for any future appointments.

Overall had a great visit, however I waited for 45 minutes before I saw a Dr. & felt like my visit was less than 20 minutes. scheduling patients more accurately would be great so waiting times won’t be so long!!!

Recently I took my three year old daughter to see Dr. Evan. I was very impressed by the friendlyness of the staff and how nice Dr. Evan was. He was great with her and at the end of the visit she got a balloon! The facility was very well kept and the staff had great hand hygiene. Would recommend this place to anyone!

I love this office. I was previously using a dermatologist who has great reviews but continued to not make changes with my skin care to get my issues resolved. Dr. Pena-​Robichaux has dealt with acne herself and comes from a caring place when she talks with you. The staff is great! I called in today to get an rx transferred somewhere and it took 2 seconds — while on the phone with them. The office is clean and tidy. The wait is never long. I did wait a little bit for this last appointment but an assistant came in and apologized for the wait, said the Dr. would be with me soon and asked if I needed anything. That is top notch service. Then when the Dr. came in she apologized as well. She’s not just wasting your time. Again, she cares.

I very much enjoyed my new patient visit with Dr. Pena-​Robichaux and felt that I was in good care.
The office is brand new, very clean and state of the art. Her office and clinical staff are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. All my concerns were addressed by the staff and again by Dr. P-​R. I had all my questions answered and left with a bunch of different samples of product, both sold in the office and drug store.
I will certainly go back next year

Although the staff was very friendly. I am extremely disappointed with my visit. I saw Dr. Pena, I felt like many of my questions went unanswered. I got cut off about 3 times. I felt like she wasn’t listening to me.
I have mild acne scars and she pretty much said that it will disappear with time. ?? Okay…
For my back and face acne I was told to pick up a acne wash from heb lol…
Although I did learn something new about one of my concerns.
I felt like everything she told me I could of just googled. I feel like I paid 125 for two tiny samples and a piece of paper.
I might come back for a prescription, if I end up liking the samples I received.
Oh and I was very very interested in lip fillers. Although I didn’t wright this down during check in. I didn’t even have a chance to bring it up because my time was up and Dr Pena excused herself
Honestly I wish I went else where.

Great staff and service. Went in for a red spot on my nose that wouldn’t go away. After a very short wait, I was seen. A short, but thorough examination of the nose and I was told it was not cancer. I had several other spots looked at, told them I’d have no problem paying to remove them as a preventive measure, and they said «no need». Walked out with great recommendations for skin care regarding my ingrown hairs and preventing sun damage.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Pena. Although I was glad I was able to get in and out in under twenty minutes, I have to say I wasn’t impressed. Her assistant, Betsey, was extremely short with me, often interrupting me while I was explaining my symptoms. Dr. Pena glanced at skin and ended up just writing me some prescriptions, which will hopefully work. Puzzling enough, she also gave me a coupon for a suggested product that expired last year. Instead of just a quick solution for my symptoms, I wanted to treat the real problem, for instance, by being tested for allergies to see if that’s what’s causing my sudden outbreak. It doesn’t seem like this a thing here.
Perhaps the biggest problem is that I went in with a concern of an ingrown hair I’ve had on my bikini line for some time after a wax. I told her it was hurting and had been around a while, but she still didn’t look at it. Upon second opinion, what I thought was simply an ingrown hair had actually progressed to a sebaceous cyst, requiring antibiotics. I honestly feel like my concerns were not respected and my skin was not her top priority.
Even though Dr. Pena herself was nice and the office was clean and fast, I will not be back. I didn’t get anything done that I couldn’t have gotten from my primary physician.

I saw Dr. Pena-​Robichaux! She was great. She sat down and talked to me about my diagnosis and treatment options. I didnt feel rushed. She is great and so are the receptionists.

It was my first time to see Dr. Pena-​Robichaux but it won’t be my last! She was very professional and thorough. The office was brand new and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

No wait, friendly staff, and a super clean office. The doctor did a mole removal that was painless, fast, and so far it’s healing nicely. She was very professional and polite.
