We went in on a Sunday afternoon for take-out. The place was completely empty. The polite lady working there suggested we order from the lunch menu which would be cheaper, but still with generous portions. That was nice, since most local Chinese restaurants don’t have lunch specials for take-out and/or on weekends. So the prices were low and the portions were larger than expected at lunch time, but the food was not memorable. It wasn’t bad, but just bland and a bit dry. More sauce and more vegetables would have made the dishes more appealing.

Wah Luck is a really nice little mom and pop restaurant. If you are looking for Chinese food haute cuisine perfection, you won’t find it here. What you will find is really tasty food made by a couple of really nice folks. This is by far the best option for Chinese food in Kirkland.

This is a very nice and friendly place! We started coming here once we moved the Kirkland and the staff is very nice and the food is delicious! You get the best price for the money with the combo dishes giving you the opportunity to try 3 entrees, egg roll and soup! Service is very good and the meat seems fresh! Highly recommended if you are looking for good Chinese Food!

Tried out the lunch menu today — disappointing. Definitely wouldn’t be coming back if this was my only experience. Veggie delight was overcooked and quite bland. Sweet and sour chicken was more batter than chicken, and neither sweet nor sour.

Great chinese restaurant. Personal favorite is the almond boneless chicken.

Fresh flavorful food, I’m addicted to their pot stickers — nice tender freshly made. My mother needed to cut back on her salt and they were very helpful in helping choose the right food and they were willing to decrease the salt while cooking it.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The Chinese food is very tasty and the prices are great! I’d recommend the moo shu pork/chicken. other stuff that tastes good: egg rolls, deep fried shrimp, hot and sour soup, orange chicken

Good basic Chinese food. It is nice to have in our neighborhood… a staple for 22 years! If you want gourmet Chinese… this is not for you. Nice to support a true hard working family business.

Not a professional restaurant. we move to the neighborhood hoping this will be a good place to have Chinese food. Ended up today in the restaurant where they told us we could order lunch… when we settled down at the table with the kids, very rudely we were told that we could only order dinner– not sure what changed and then we left and these guys had no courtesy to honor their word… not going there in future ever!!!

My family and I have been eating here since I was a little kid! Always one of our favorite places to eat and we always crave it! Just a little«mom and pop» place but they definitely make the BEST egg flower soup and egg rolls EVER! Yum! Just got some take out to enjoy :)

I stood at the entrance sizing this place up… Nothing on the tables looked appetizing to me. There were no hosts or servers in sight for several minutes, and I believe the menu indicated even an order of egg rolls were a bit over $ 7. Whatever it was, it was among the highest prices I have ever seen for egg rolls. I could not stay and do not want to come back, as none of these first experiences were good.

I enjoy the service of the lady. Food is enjoyable for me. Idk if others will like it. But try it out, different ppl have different taste buds.

It is rare for me to leave such a poor review but unfortunately I’ve never had worse Chinese food in my life. The breading on the chicken was about 5x the size of the pieces of chicken themselves, and the color and texture of the meat was completely unappetizing. The sauces are indeed neon colors and the fried rice had zero flavor. The hubs and I both deemed that Panda Express would have been a HUGE jump up the quality ladder. We wanted very much to enjoy the food, especially because we only live a few blocks away, but sadly we will not be going back.

As Chinese I like the food there so much. Especially the War Wonton Noodle(窝馄饨面,其实是一大锅八珍馄饨面)fulfilled my expectation. I go to Hong Kong every year and try their local food, after comparison I appreciate the taste of the food in Wah Luck very much. When someone uses INSULT to describe what Wah Luck’s food does, that person is a poor clown that just shows its disrespect to others’ work.

Loved the chicken fried rice. Lots of food. Quality wasn’t horrible. Cheap eats and close to home.

Ok… I dont get wht this place gets so many bad reviews. Maybe compaired to french food, or fine dining, but its chinese food! And good chinese food at that. Everything I ordered was cooked well and very tasty. I really liked the sweet and sour shirp because the sause was especially good compaired to other chinese places Ive been to. They also gave me a large potion of white rice… every though I also ordered the fried rice. Very generous! So I give them a generous five stars…

This place is about average for«American» Chinese restaurants on the Eastside(translation: not really Chinese food). Better than Safeway heat lamp style, prob not as healthy as Panda(yes, I said Panda), and Chan’s would be a step up. If you’re expecting legit Chinese, get in your car and head over to the International District. Otherwise, Wah Luck – with it’s heavy, HEAVY breading and neon red sweet-n-sour sauce – will probably do in a pinch. Service is typically pretty slow, but the woman(co-owner) is about as sweet as you’ll find anywhere.

The worst Chinese food I have ever had. Safeway Chinese food is more approachable. Shrimp was not deveined or shelled, chewed on a piece of bone. The sauces come in neon colors. The flavor of said sauces leaves a question mark in your brain. Almond Chicken had pumpkin orange color. Sweet n’ Sour sauce was a Katy Perry pink. I am put off that the chicken itself was fried katsu style then slathered over with these questionable sauces. NEVEREVEREVERGOINGBACK. Through my life I have had gourmet chinese food, and i relish a binge on cheap chinese food when possible. This restaurant is confusing and maybe insulting. It doesn’t not approach conventional American Chinese food, and cannot be taken as within the same galaxy as authentic Chinese food. Anyone rating more than 1 star I take as a lie. If you have eaten here and given this place appreciation or money — YOUHAVEBEENTRICKED.

This family-owned and run Chinese restaurant provided exactly what I expected when I walked in: quick service, fresh food, and lots of attention. The portions were quite sizable and everything was hot. While there were a few other patrons in the restaurant, my water never reached empty nor were any plates left on the table too long after being finished. The woman running the place checked on me numerous times and even brought me extra napkins when I needed them, though before I could ask. TL:DR — Great food, great service. Definitely planning to stop by more often.
